I can't believe I haven't done a review for Daddyz considering we eat breakfast here almost EVERY Saturday. For starters, Daddy's can seat groups of any size. They have bar seating up to large tables for bigger groups. There's plenty of parking in their lot out front and to the side of the building. Daddyz isn't fancy. Don't come here if you're seeking mimosas and avocado toast. But if you want THE BEST breakfast at the BEST price: this is where to come. They have incredible biscuits and gravy. They make huge delectable omelets. They have a great kids menu and the prices can't be beat. They even offer a military discount on Saturdays. My littlest is obsessed with their apple butter and we are obsessed with the experience. We LOVE the staff. We usually have the same server and she is FANTASTIC. She's friendly and never lets our coffee cups go empty. She's great with our kids and we have never left Daddyz unhappy. Definitely check them out!!! read more

A hidden treasure! Looks can be greatly deceiving here. I jokingly told my family that the sketchiest places usually will be the best place and I wasn't wrong. Somehow I forgot to take a picture of my patty melt (which) I made a double. It came with grilled onions which were perfectly caramelized. We also had a catfish poboy and the catfish is probably the best so far that I've had on the MS coast and the poboy is overstuffed! I feel like they don't do that anymore. The onion rings are hand battered and only complain it wish it came with more. We came right before a rush and it seemed like only on person was running the front (cashier and waiting). Daddyz place is located in Pass Christian MS on E North street. It is a metal building with limited parking and appears very unassuming from the exterior. Went to Daddy's on two separate occasions while attending cruising the coast. I found it on Yelp of course and read many great reviews. So I decided it was worth a try. You seat yourself when you walk in, and it's a wide open dining room with tile flooring and a bar to the left side when you enter. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, taking drink orders immediately upon you sitting down and also giving menus. My first visit I tried the Daddy Burger since I'd read reviews about how good it was. I also got a side of onion rings. Man this burger is huge! Two giant beef patties, fresh beef that is. This isn't a boxed frozen patty, this is fresh ground beef made into a burger patty. The burger was huge, the beef was tender and flavorful and the condiments were fresh. The onion rings were crisp and yet soft and had a great flavor to them. Day two I went back and had a country fried steak with mashed potato and Lima beans. The steak was perfectly cooked, the gravy was flavorful and the Lina beans and mashed potatoes were delicious. Both meals were outstanding. My only complaint here is they are understaffed. This affects your drink refills greatly. It was mid to high 80's all day outside, I was really thirsty, and the refill never came even though I asked. I actually ate my entire meal without a drink. Hold back on the salt! The last 3 times I eat there I had to take extra blood pressure meds!

It was almost lunchtime but I was wanting breakfast and Daddyz turned up on a search. I cannot say I "stumbled on it" because I don't think I would have found it without the aid of GPS. It's not in the middle of nowhere, but it isn't close to any main roads or highways either. Definitely a local place. From the mixed reviews I expected a little weirdness, but I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. It was almost empty when I arrived, and the servers told me to sit wherever I liked. Later a couple came in, gave me an odd look sitting there, looked at each other, then sat at another table across the room. I think I must have taken their regular seat (Sorry, folks). A number of people came in while I was there and the servers knew many of them by name. I was not disappointed with the breakfast. I had a western omelette that was cooked to perfection! There is a difference between an omelette and "scrambled eggs with cheese and stuff." The cook here knows the difference and served up a winner. The rest of the plate - toast, hash browns, grits - weren't stellar but not bad either. The coffee was fresh and hot and the servers kept it coming. The total price was very inexpensive as well so no complaints overall. Everything on the menu seems to very affordably priced. The restaurant is one big room with a bar/counter along one side and a pool table in the corner. Seems like it might do double-duty as a honky-tonk bar on the weekends but when I was there it was quiet. The staff were all friendly and eager to please. I don't know if I will ever be in that part of the world again, but if I am I wouldn't hesitate to go back. I'd give them 4-1/2 stars if I could. read more

I eat there often and their portions are more than plenty. Owned by an Air Force veteran and the local VFW Post 5931 meets there every.2nd Tuesday of the month. The food was amazing! We were leaving NOLA & needed a bite & we picked this place. We were welcomed in & you pick your own table, it may seem a little sketchy but it's worth it & affordable. Inside it have an old school vibe with posters up. The gumbo was the best we had since we been out of town & the shrimp po-boy was the softest bread the most shrimp. Disappointed,we had breakfast and the sausage gravy over biscuit was very disappointing. iIt looked like they took a sausage patty crumble it up and put it on a biscuit and pour gravy over it. Service was vary bad. I like it's family owned but you can not tell them anything about there help. The Service you get is so bad if the person doesn't like the way you dressed are look they don't give you good Service. And if you don't like your food because it's dry are over cooked they mumbled under there breath. Are refuse to give you refills. Are anything. WOW, Been wanting to try this restaurant for some time now. Have trouble venturing away from BSL since the ease of golf carting to my favorite haunts is a no brainer. We were warmly greeted by Emma. Sat ourselves, Emma was there for our drink order and menus in hand. The place is spacious, tables well appointed, love Mom & Pop decor. What a gem of a find. Breakfast and lunch options. Good thing because one in our party had breakfast, another had a burger and I asked Emma what she would recommend. An emphatic "Brisket" was suggested. OMG! The meat was so flavorful and tender. I once ate at a place in Austin, TX who's slogan was "You don't need teeth to eat our meat" . Well I'd tout this Brisket to be possibly the best and most tender I've ever tasted. Honestly, I have to come back and try the other menu selections but, if brisket is on the menu it'll be a no brainer! This establishment gets 5 stars for several reasons... I've been passing this place for about a year n I could kick myself for it. The Burger was so Juicy n the TatorTots so fresh. My Hubby's Patty Melt was buttery and those grilled onions just melt in your mouth. The Sweet Potato Fries were offered with cinnamon sugar but he got the regular order and they were crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. Daddyz in the Pass offers reasonably priced food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also offer delivery. What They Do Well Daddyz does a good job on their lunch and dinner food, particularly their sandwiches. Burgers and po-boys are as good, or better than their competitors in the area. Extra points for having a Patton's hot sausage po-boy on the menu as that is one of my favorites. Service is very friendly both in person and when calling in an order. They offer delivery, whihc is very nice, but I have not yet used that service. Prices are very reasonable. Where They Can Improve Breakfast is rather ordinary. I stuck with my go-to breakfast order of a western omelet and hash browns. The omelet was cooked properly, but lacked taste. It was as if there was no seasoning applied whatsoever. I doctored it up with salt, pepper and hot sauce, but wish there would have been some seasoning done in the kitchen. While I'm not sure this is a huge negative, their building appears to have been some sort of bar room before becoming a restaurant. The ceiling is black spray foam, there is a giant bar along the wall, and an enclosed DJ booth that is now used for storage or an office.There is also a giant painted sign on the door that prohibits firearms on the premises which seems a little odd to me. I'm not sure if that is left over from the bar days, but it does make me feel a little uneasy that so many patrons were packing heat that they need such a visible deterrent. Despite the room for improvement, I like Daddyz and will likely return. read more

The soft shell crab tasted rotten. All of the seafood was so very salty. The roast beef Poboy was very salty as well and the roast beef was not house made.
