Fantastic food, very welcoming staff - great prices. But the best part is how family friendly they are!

Menu was amazing. I had a hard time deciding. Service was great. She offered me a smaller portion of shrimp and grits as a breakfast appetizer to go with my sandwich. lol, didn't eat rest of day. Ambiance was all family. I didn't pick this one and didn't realize until we sat down that it was Robin Robert's mom and her hometown. I heard two ladies talking. If you stop, be sure to detour down by the water. Beautiful. Only giving it a four because I think it was busy and they burnt my bacon and undercooked both our eggs, but would try again if in the area. read more

We've been twice and both times have had a great experience. It feels like eating breakfast at your grandparents when you were little. I asked the server if she recommended the shrimp and grits or the French toast and she said she could do a half order of each. Win! The shrimp and grits were some of the best I've had. The French toast was great both times I've had it. The staff is so friendly and it's fun to look at all the memorabilia about the Robert's family. We will definitely be back. read more

So here I am, two days into an eight day Gulf trip. Had a nice dinner outdoors at a harbor last night, then tried a local café for breakfast. Roberts Place Café is truly amazing. They have a front area where one can eat outdoors. They have three spaces inside, which all accommodate guests. The room I was in commemorated the father of the family, Lawrence Roberts, who was a true hero, graduate of the Tuskegee Airman school, a man who rose to be an Air Force colonel despite the color of his skin. Very inspiring! The other back room is a recollection of the mother, who also had a very rich history. The food was tremendous. I recommend anything with hashbrowns. I had The Nest, eggs nestled in hash browns, bacon or sausage, and toast or biscuit. Take the time to view this family treasure trove with food at some point, if you need food in Pass Christian. Food prices in 2025 being so high, there was $1 surcharge per egg. Prices were still reasonable, though. I recommend highly. read more

My husband & I both had the Deluxe Breakfast which came with two eggs, bacon or sausage, grits or hash browns, and two pancakes. Everything was great but the grits & bacon were next level good! What a great cafe!! I read about The Robert's Place Cafe on Facebook a few months ago. It was at the back of my mind that I would stop in when I was in "downtown" Pass Christian. Well, today was the perfect opportunity. My daughter and I stopped in after her cross country practice; I'm so glad we did!! It is a small house that was reconfigured into a quaint diner/cafe. Such a relaxing atmosphere and the staff was super friendly. There are two separate rooms and the main open room set up with seating. There is memorabilia on the walls with pictures of the Roberts family. It was heartwarming to see all of their dad's military pictures, newspaper articles, etc. There are pictures of the mom and dad as well, throughout the restaurant. This is a well loved family in our community and it is so nice to see the love they all have for each other. Well, the food is absolutely delicious!! My daughter couldn't even stop eating her eggs in time for me to snap a pic of her meal. The bacon was cooked to the perfect crispness. Flavors were on point! I can't wait to go back with the rest of my family!!! The breakfast and lunch cafe is just what we need in our quaint town of Pass Christian. We were hungry for brunch on a late Saturday afternoon and Robert's didn't disappoint. The owner is a friendly local who will tell you how her restaurant has two themed rooms for her parents. My husband had the Lucimarin sandwich and I tried the French toast with a side of grits. Service was quick even though they were busy and the food was tasty. read more

Robert's Place is a cute place with a lot of history on the walls. Servers are friendly and service is timely. I got a coffee and a lemon blueberry muffin which was delicious. Don't expect much more than a black coffee with cream and sugar. Grab your specialty caffeine drink elsewhere, then come here and have breakfast. Hopefully they expand their coffee selections - hence the name: Cafe. Can't wait to come here again and try their other food! read more

The place definitely had a home converted into a coffee shop vibe to it. But I liked it now. I didn't really like the hours because it's only open till 2 PM, which is not ideal, right? But I was able to get there fast enough, the coffee was the best block coffee? I've had probably ever and I reviewed a few coffee places already. The price was actually pretty good as well. It was only 270, including taxes. For a minute, small black coffee, so it's actually cheaper than Starbucks. And about a billion times better now, I will say it. It is in a kind of weird location. I mean, it's not immediately obvious where it is. It also, yeah, doesn't have the best seating right? And the coffee is obviously pre-made but other than that, this place is great. read more

Food was excellent down home cooking. Best red beans and rice I've had in a long time. Others loved their shrimp and grits and their hamburgers. Price was good service excellent. They accommodated our group in cozy mama's room and the history of the family and area was very interesting. Everyone could hear everyone else too. We visited the shop as well and got a few gifts which were attractively packaged by friendly attentive staff who made shopping enjoyable. We will definitely return. read more

My teen daughter & I spent the day in the Pass, and had a wonderful time visiting Robert's for breakfast & the neighboring gift shop. The atmosphere was akin to a visit to my grandmas, very welcoming with a down home feeling. We had the whole front dining room to ourselves, even when other party's entered. We appreciated not cramming everyone into one room. The wait staff was very attentive, accommodating, and friendly. It was also wonderful to read about the restaurant & family history. It is a encouraging story of perseverance & victory! My daughter & I shared the shrimp & grits, hash browns, & blueberry muffin. The portions were generous, as expected from grandma! I generally love shrimp & grits, and try them everywhere I can find them. Robert's is definitely in my best top 3! Well done! My teen loved the hash browns, hence is why they were half eaten before I could take the photo! Her only critique that would have improved her experience is to have had a premium coffee selection like the Mockingbird cafe in BSL. Roberts is a close 2nd for her! So I say well done, she is a picky eater! We will definitely be returning, and will be bringing visiting family & friends with us in the near future! Many blessings & continued success! read more

Well this is one hidden NEW gem of the Pass. We are staying at a local hotel needing a nice full breakfast and Roberts Place Cafe was on spot. They are new and just recently opened but owned and operated by a long-standing, local family. The prices and service can't be beat and we had a great meal. Amazing shrimp grits! Great breakfast/lunch menu. Three of us had the shrimp and grits. The gravy really makes it distinctive. One had a tuna salad sandwich and a caramel ice cream for dessert. Wonderful restaurant and a great addition to the Pass Christian restaurant scene. Ended up going here 5 times during our stay in town. Walking distance from our house. Excellent breakfasts. My pick would be the Nest which is a pair of fried eggs surrounded by hash browns. Very good quality bacon but all ingredients were top shelf. Food had a distinct home cooked preparation and flavor especially the biscuits. Had the Monday lunch special of red beans and rice and their BBQ special one evening which shows this is more than just a great breakfast spot. Two very clean comfortable dining rooms which feels more like eating at someone's house than a restaurant. Lots of family mementos as a tribute to the owners family. Staff and owner were very genuine, friendly, capable and polite. On my first visit I had forgotten my credit card. Upon realizing this I went back and they had it safely behind the counter which speaks tons for the caliber of this little restaurant. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. read more
