So many conflicting thoughts about this place! In many ways I loved it but in others I wish they didn't provide me with such an anchor. Intending to see more of the area, this bar sucked us in. The stay was supposed to be short but their hospitality, food, and drinks kept us from finding any alternatives. It's a very unpretentious bar with "basic bar food" and cheap drinks. But their service is what sets them apart from what I can only assume is the norm. The bartender was kind, professional, authoritative, and accommodating. The people that this establishment attracts are just my style. Honest, fun-loving, and personable. Sometimes it's refreshing to get away from the Chicago glamour and see other people at their finest.

These people are crooks who do not pay contractors. Do NOT support a business that rips off hardworking people.

My cousin was part of a contract crew to do some work at Cat-Man-do's. He did some fantastic epoxy work on their tables, but when it came time to pay the contractors, owners Curt & Kelly flat out refused. Do not support this business, owners are crooks. If you're contracted to do some work, be sure you have a binding contract or you will not get paid.

I would highly recommend this bar/grill for its food and drinks. The hamburger i ate was served on seasoned Texas toast that was toasted just right along with real homemade hand cut French fries. The food was was outstanding. On Saturday they offer slow cooked prime rib with homemade horseradish sauce. Highly recommend to give it a taste.

Kinda run down. Unprofessional bar staff! Toilets clogged in women's restrooms on several occasions. Beer pong game with dirty water & cups.

Better than most bars in the area. Drinks are cheap and the bartenders are friendly. They have a pool table if you enjoy that.

A group of friends and I were searching for a reasonably priced place to eat in the area and decided to give Cat-man-dos a try, and we have no regrets.

Unfortunately, there was no inside seating due to covid and it was a bit drizzly so my mom and stepdad weren't interested in hanging out. They do not have beer flights, but you can try every one of their beers. Since I had the Flying Fish earlier in the week and I have had the IPA . IPAs are my thing as well as citrusy beers so I tried the Lemon Fish and the Next Up. Now, I love citrusy beer, but this was the most lemony beer I have ever had. Not bad, just powerful. The Next Up... wow! It is a hazy IPA and it is an awesome beer. I got a pint. They had just finished canning the Next Up and didn't have any available for purchase but I did get a six pack at Meijers to drink during the rest of my time in the yoop. I also got a t-shirt because one can never have too many t-shirts and I needed a souvenir to show my craft brew friends back at my current home.

A flight is $12 for 4 - 5oz pours so not a bad deal. The Upper Hand lager and Yooper pale ale were both excellent and enjoyed the UPA pale ale also. The Upper Hand IPA was good - just a little too piney for my palate. Small indoor areas with northwoods decor and a nice outdoor patio area with tables and picnic tables. Good selection of brewery gear, t-shirts, hoodies and beer to go.

We wanted to visit Escanaba to see a beach, at Ludington Park, and a view of Lake Michigan, more or less (of the bay). We wanted to find a nice, casual dining place for 5 adults and our five year old. My son looked online and suggested Hereford and Hops. They seemed to have a good variety of food and a location less than a mile from the park. When you walk in the sign asks you to wait to be seated. Our server greeted us and took us to our table. She took the beverage order and made sure the child beverage had a lid to it. The menu has a variety of options, including appetizers, dinner salads, pizza, pasta, and entrees and daily specials. It was Wednesday and the special was a half rack of BBQ ribs and a potato. They had fish and seafood options, and my wife and I chose breaded shrimp. My Daughter in law wanted the BLT with a side of in-house homemade potato chips and a dish of French onion dip. My granddaughter requested the children's burger and fries. All of the entrees came with a choice of garden or Caesar salad. I believe all of the dressing and sauces were made in-house. We also ordered fried cheese curds, with marinara, and potato skins. Once the order was placed, it felt like we were waiting for the appetizers for awhile. One son said, I hope they don't just bring everything at once. But the appetizers did arrive first and they were very good. The salad I ordered was the Caesar. It was chopped Romaine, shredded parmesan, and croutons. Our server said that the croutons were made in-house, and so was my wife's Ranch dressing, so I assume they made the Caesar dressing, too. The point is making items from scratch suggests either unique flavor or fresh quality. The croutons were toasted bread, the size of game dice, with no seasonings I could see or taste. The Caesar dressing lacked the tangy flavor of bottled dressing. My romaine lettuce was chopped okay but some of the ends were a little brown. I was glad I passed on the Chicken Caesar entree salad. My wife said her garden salad and ranch dressing was very good. It had other greens and no romaine. The entrees were all very good. The rib dinners were, reportedly, cooked perfectly. One person felt the sauce was perfect, the other said it tasted great but there was too much of it. My wife and I had breaded shrimp. Again, I assume they made the cocktail sauce in-house. And we both had the same reaction, which was it tasted great but somehow had no coating quality on the shrimp. I dipped mine and it came up looking like it was dripping tomato juice, but tasted great. My Daughter in law loved the BLT, and the taste of the homemade potato chips. She thought they were cut a little thick, but shared with everyone else, who thought they were fine. Everyone raved about the onion dip. We had a great meal, pleasant service, even if it felt a little slow at the start. I suggest you try H &H if you're in the mood for good food, casual atmosphere and reasonable prices.

That is the last time the wait staff spoke with me for almost 15 minutes until I walked out. After 10 minutes I did the obvious look around trying to get someone's attention, but nothing. They were NOT busy (only 2 other tables of people) and now I see why. Sad service, sad experience
