My new favorite cannabis shop! When my friend and I were in Long Beach, we decided to try Catalyst as they had a 30% off sale in the store! I got well stocked on some high quality gummies and vape cartridges for a great deal. They had a good selection and thankfully everything that I wanted was in stock. The store is small but mighty, organized well with good inventory. Aaron helped me and my friend when we were in Catalyst and he was a gem! So friendly and informative, we had good banter and I wish he could be my local weed guy. All the staff was actually great here, even the security guy seemed friendly. This is my favorite dispensary because they always have good deals and promos going on and the staff is so awesome. Every single person (including security) is polite, friendly and helpful! I was down from the Coachella valley for a few days where there are plenty of dispensaries so out here in OC had to do a little hunting depending on where you are at. Or at least for me and my friend. I hardly smoke, but for this occasion since haven't hung out with my friend we decided to look for one before we got food and went to the beach. We found this and they have this dispensary also in the desert but like i said I'm just barely getting into it. That said the place inside looked very nice compared to some local ones I go to in the Coachella valley. As far as what I paid for and got, I was happy. The guy who helped me showed what was good for the amount I was willing to pay. He was nice and patient and understanding. There were was a line ahead and behind me but didn't have to wait long. I would be cautious about buying disposable pens from this location. I have bought two that have not worked and most recently tried to bring the second one that was not working back and they were not able to do anything about it. Unfortunately, this product was almost $50 and was a waste of money. I understand their sales are final but I wouldn't buy any disposable pens here given there is no guarantee they will work and there is nothing they can do about it. This happens and when it has occurred at other locations, they were able to replace. I heard a mixed response that all sales are final, but also that I was one day out of the guarantee so unclear about the policy. This is my local dispensary. Women get discounts on Wednesday, taxes are included in pricing, if you come often enough they'll ask you about your dog. David is the MVB (most valuable bud tender), he won't sell you questionable products for some sort of employee incentivized product push-- I'm a regular again because of him-- I'm not sure if he's the store manager, but he probably should be. *also a fan of the security guard-- He's the one who asks about my dog. Came in for my Monday Eatables (because today is Eatable Sale Day), and asked what kind of deals they had? I was recommended a 2 for 1 product, and. I was being rushed because the guy was waiting on two people at once. I don't have a problem with that, but I was sold an item w/out being told what flavor. Now I CAN'T STAND Coffee! And I was sold a Coffee Mocha Flavor and I didn't find out till I was at home and tried one. YUCK!!! Now I'm stuck with my weekly budget (being on a fixed income) for eatables that I CAN'T Stand. I've also found in my several visits, that if you tell them how much money you have they will start adding things to your bag that are on sale to try for things you don't even ask for.... but they still charge you for them. And If there is something for sale (like a 2 for 1 sale) that you do like, they will only sell you one for the 2 for 1 sale (unlike other dispensaries). I'm loosing interest in shopping there, and find better offers at other dispensaries I visit. Nice location, but not worth shopping there. read more
