I went here twice and not again. Place is not horrible, just don't feel like giving them my business. Large store with plenty of selection. Good promos for first and second visit. Parking is large and plenty, but the road on Cherry to get in and out is scary with 405 off ramp leading out RIGHT THERE, especially at night. Great deals and promos for my first and second visit. First visit was good, but service on second visit was terrible. The young man "helping" me seemed distracted and didn't real have much interest in helping me. When I asked questions his answers were short and seemed like he was annoyed. He was reluctant to help me. I took the hint and made a quick purchase so I could leave and stop ruining this guy's day. I had planned to make a large purchase for my second visit since there was a great promo, but decided to purchase one time and get out since I felt unwelcome. I always have trouble getting good service at this place. The dumb looking white guy should not be behind a counter. He's rude and tense and I think a little Huntington Beachish if you get my drift. Been shopping at this location for years and I manage to have an acceptable experience with even the most obviously disengaged and miserable of the select wooks they employ. There's quite a few people who have worked here over the years that are incredible employees who fully understand the job (Gutta, Layne, Alex, dude that kinda looks like Collin Jost, Kai, there are more and Im sorry if I forgot you), these are great people who are there to do well. In most circumstances there's little to it, i order online, show up and leave within about 3 minutes or less. Usually everyone is kind, or at least there to do what they have to. On occasion a sale day will make things run slow, or somebody will make a mistake but I am never upset by any of that, it's totally understandable. My most recent visit crossed a certain line. My budtender, who has helped me before, generally strikes me as very insincere but that doesn't matter much because things usually go smoothly and then i leave, no big deal i don't need my ass kissed. This time i added 2 items to my original order(i do this often without any issues), the girl got confused (i am giving her the benefit of the doubt here) about scanning in the additional two items and tried to overcharge me. When i pointed this out her tone became noticeably nasty, and she tried to insist she was correct. After noticing i was upset she attempted to figure it out correctly, offering a very insincere apology when she finally did. I said the mistake was not a big deal but the way she spoke to me certainly was, i demanded to see a manager and they called security over FIRST. After that she consistently denied everything, offering no further apologies. In my frustration i just wanted to leave, somebody who i think is management came over and i was given an expired vape cart for my troubles. I texted the ceo/'public liason' to let him know of their vast customer service deficiencies and he left it on read, classic. 1. I won't return, fuck catalyst for this bullshit and then not immediately offering anything noteworthy to make up for it. 2. That girl didn't give me a receipt with her information on it on purpose and I believe she was trying to rip me off now. Beware them indeed. read more

Catalyst is my favorite dispensary in California no matter the location! Every time I visit catalyst the greeters are always friendly and welcoming and the bud tenders are always so helpful whether you looking for something fun or something medicinal! They're selection is very broad and have some really amazing brands, they also have great knowledge about all of the products and what is in them, especially Gutta who always make sure I'm getting something clean, fresh, and strong. Even though their prices are amazing and fairly cheap they also have a great point system! It is a rare occurrence I leave spending more than $25! Not to mention catalyst does amazing things for the community and Even offers rewards if your participate, for example I recently participated in they're blood drive at the planet 13 opening and got $50 in points, a preroll, a discount and priority entry, and a shirt! Upon returning home with my items i noticed one of the 8ths i bought was discolored, lacked trichomes. Was cultivated on 12/13/18 and an expiration date of 12/13/19. i returned with the item un-open and asked to speak to a manager about a way to resolve the issue, being as i didnt not want to waste $60. The manager informed me that he acknowledged that the 8th wasnt up to the standards it should be, and the product was bad. BUT since the expiration is 12/13/19 they are still legally able to sell it. He mentioned to always check bag before leaving, even when placing online orders. Was offered 20% off a future purchase, but nothing they could do about the poor quality too shelf tree they sold me. They seem to value they're profits more than they're customers, who are the reason behind said profits. Summary: no value for customers! I bought a Plugnplay 2 days ago, and its quality was questionable. The high wasn't really there like it usually is. Since I've bought these so many times in the past, I assumed I just picked a dud. I came back the next day, and bought 2 lil stiiizy disposables. One had no taste, the other tasted like the stuff black market dispensaries used to get away with selling in 2019-2020. Both had little to no effect. I would've gotten better headchange from a nic vape. I came back today to see if the issue could be solved. 4 out of 5 times I go here, I get home and realize they put the wrong thing in the bag. Today they sold my a shorted out cart. I called and asked if they would swap it for a new one, they said that shouldn't be a problem on the phone. When I get there the "manager" come out and asked me for the cart, rather than saying anything to me, he takes in the back, comes out 1 min later and say this cart is fine, it's my battery. I show him it's not, it says it's shorted and I can show you that this is the only cart it says this on. He over to sell me a battery. Fuck this place. Service sucks all the way to top apparently. It's 40 dollars, you can't afford to swap this cart? You can see it doesn't work and you just say "not my problem"? So rude, so unhelpful, such a joke of a "manager".
