Only time she acknowledged me was when she stepped forward a step to let me pass by while she was talking with the customer. Store was not busy. Only one other customer and myself were there. Arrived at location today at 6:40pm and there's a sign on the door stating. "On a quick break will be back at 7:05" how do you even close an entire store for a break? I had to make a trip to vitamin shoppe today and this was my first time at this location. Upon walking in I was greeted by two smiling faces, one of which was Keshawn. He was super friendly ,welcoming and very genuinely personable. It's always hectic trying find certain thing but he aided in relieving my shuffling mind lol. This location is across the street from from the mall so it's a busy area. There's parking in front of the store but the lot is small and can get very congested. Watch Out Amazon!! I ordered Sports Research Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides from Amazon but the vendor sent me the wrong product. Darn! Now I have to mail it back and reorder. Or. . . . I can come to the Vitamin Shoppe after I checked online to confirm they did have the product I was looking for. Sure the prices was $33 instead of the $27 I paid on Amazon but I only had two servings left. So I walked into the store with my almost empty can and asked for this stuff. Erin took me immediately to the shelf and pulled that last can. I told her I was buying it here because my Amazon supplier messed up but that Amazon had a much lower price. She whipped out her phone, went to Amazon and fond it for $24! And she honored that price. Oh! I said, so you price match? Awesome. I'm coming here for my supplements from now on. I stopped in today for something I saw on their website. Says it was in stock at this location, and it was. Within five seconds of entering the store, I was approached by an associate who offered help. I asked where the tea section was. He didn't just point, he walked me to the section and pointed out "from here to here" with his arms. Nice. There was only ten customers at the time, tops. Most were still browsing the products, so I was rang up right away. I was in and out of the store within 7 mins or so. Not bad for a first visit. I'm happy with pricing/products/service here. I ordered and paid for my vitamins through the app ahead of time. I was told I would get an email when they were ready, but never got one. I showed up to the shop anyways and was told that half my order was no longer available because some woman went in and purchased the remaining pills. Mind you when purchasing these pills online it said 3 bottles were left in stock at this location. When I got to the store there was ONE worker and NO customers. He admitted that he didn't even start on my order which was placed over 2 hours ago. Bottom line this kind of laziness is UNACCEPTABLE especially when we're trying to take care of ourselves! read more

Great customer service!! A definite high five to the gal who worked this morning (3/19/15)....I apologize for not grabbing her name but she was fantastic. I've been a fan of the Vitamin Shoppe since I knew they were around! Each stores are a bit different but for the most part, they are big in space and offer a great variety of items of proteins and vitamins. They have some great hardcore protein and recovery products but there are products that you might have to go to another place such as Max Muscle. They have a good selection of energy drinks and pre-workout products in the refrigerator and they have another fridge stocked with flaxseed oil and such. They do carry a great variety of Quest bars and products which I love. Back to their customer service, she greeted me promptly and asked if I needed assistant. The product I was looking for forced her to go to the back to see if there were any new left and they didn't have any. She was quick on creativity and ended finding a way to put my products together and it was the perfect idea. Three customers came in while she was helping me (she was the only one working this morning) and she did a great job multitasking all the customers and me. I asked her to price match all the products I purchased and she did so without hesitation and including a coupon, I saved almost $25 in health products so that's a mega plus! With one in line behind me and two others waiting for assistance, she went as far as opening the door for me because my hands were full. That is great customer service! read more

The Vitamin shoppee is my "go to" place when I need supplements in a hurry. This particular location is on my way so it's convenient. The parking on the other hand can be a bit of a pain. Especially when it gets busy, but they do have a reserved spot for patrons so that does help. The employees here all seem to be friendly and willing to help. Always a plus. Especially when you can't seem to find what your looking for. All in all, this place is cool. I particularly like the cold case with a fairly large selection of drinks. From electrolytes and energy drinks to protein drinks. Nice and cold. Just the way you like them. read more

I'm not sure what the other first reviewer is talking about because when I went in to purchase some multivitamins, I got way more than I anticipated. I've been to other Vitamin Shoppe's in the Orange County and Los Angeles area. When I came in to this location, I was greeted by a girl who was doing some shelf maintenance. She immediately dropped what she was doing and asked what I was looking for. After telling her, she walked me to the area I needed to be in and started asking if I knew what I was looking for. I did, mentioned the brand I needed, she grabbed them and walked me to the counter. Check out was nice and speedy. Come to find out the girl who helped me was the manager. Way to lead by example! This place is overpriced and the manager is rude. I went into the store to get my monthly vitamins and noticed the prices were cheaper on Amazon. I ask for a priced checked and the manager only checked the vitamin shop online store. She did not explain the policy and she seemed bothered by me asking the question. I will not be coming back here. The prices are too high and the manager was rude. P.S The policy is they only check their own website or other local stores prices. Myself and my Aunt visited on Saturday afternoon at around 2pm. We came to get some oil my Aunt was looking to buy. When we walked in we saw only one associate was working and he was helping another customer at the time. We understood he was the only associate working, so we patiently waited for him to be done. We looked around ourselves while we waited trying to find what we were looking for. Again, I understand he was the only associate on the floor but you still greet and acknowledge any customer that comes through your doors. You can still let a customer know that though you are currently busy you will help us when you can. My elderly Aunt, who is the most laid back person was even upset about this customer service. She asked to leave so we did after waiting quite sometime for any acknowledgment. I was going to go back in and ask for the associates name but decided against it since others were waiting for us in the car. All I remember about him was he was young and had a ponytail. The Good: They have some unique product, which you won't find anywhere locally. The Bad: Higher prices on some items than competitors charge (join up for the frequent buyer program), and a lack of some of the basics (herbs, vitamins, etc.) that Naturway, Rite-Aid (w/GNC, like the South Street location), Vitamin City (in Long Beach) or Sprouts (in Lakewood) carry. I was there today Wednesday night and the lady at the register was rude and not happy about working there . the lady helping the floor customers was OK but did not know anything , needs some classes. Even my 10yr old daughter said they hate where they work and treated us like we where a pain . I am a long time customer and usually go on weekends after noons where there is two males working there , they are super nice and very helpful I will no longer be a customer to vitamin shoppe as they left a bad taste in my mouth. No smile, no thank you , no sales no customers they are bitter to work there. This is a great store of healthy items for your need to become in shape or just be in balance with your nutritional goals. The staff are very great, friendly, helpful and they provide excellent details upon the product that you are looking for yourself to buy. One of the lady workers reminded me of her looking like the actress of the show of family ties. The best thing is that in case you don't remember when or which items that you had bought in the past and wanted to buy more of the same kind, they can look it up if you are a member with them. This store is across from the mall, near the principal cross streets and you can maybe see great deals here alongside to know what samples might be available to take a zip of a taste. They got all kinds of things that you can take from weight gain or loss to just taking fish oil or toothpaste that is fluoride free with charcoal. Upon entering, I was set to purchase my items, but I quickly changed my mind as soon as I walk in and notice the manager and an associate more interested in talking to eachother than offering to help customers. I have had better customer service at other VS shops with more people. When asking the manager for help, she seemed uninterested and as if she wanted to end assisting us as fast as possible and go back to whatever she was doing. We came here to get a few things and the store looked like it was new and very organized and clean. The parking wasn't too bad. I liked the store and would definitely come back to get a few things. Poor customer service Lakewood store . Ordered online last December 24 , got a confirmation email on December 26 that my order was split and the 3 items is ready for pick up as the other one is just on the way to the store. Came to pick up the item on December 28 and was only given one item. Zach told me that it does not appear on his computer system that I have another item for pick up. I showed him my email confirmation and WO number , but still nothing. To make the story short ,, I called customer service and was told that i already picked up the item last December 26. I asked customer service how could that be if I am just coming to pick it up. I was told that David one of the sales person in the store is the one who released the items I ordered online . I went back to the store and saw David , I told David what happened, the items I ordered online that he released it on December 26 , he just denied everything and keep telling me " I don't know what you are talking about " . And when I asked him if they follow the company protocol of checking a picture ID when picking up an order , he repeatedly told me again " I don't know what you are talking about " . Very rude . To be honest, I've not had the best experience with Vitamin Shoppe stores. But today, Mike at this location totally made up for that. I came in because I needed Ostrim beef and elk sticks and the interwebs told me that Vitamin Shoppe carries them. Just across the way from my location, I jetted over before the holiday hours got me (no need to hurry though; unlike other stores holiday hours, they closed at 6pm and not 3pm). Spotted them right away, cleaned them out of teriyaki (yum). The boxes of Quest bars happened to catch my eye and I inquired on price. More than I'm used to paying, Mike quickly offered to match price, something I'm used to at Target or Best Buy, but have NEVER been offered at a nutrition/supplement shop. Mike let me leave my intended purchases at the counter while I looked around, and he allowed me to take my time (no up selling or sales pitching), browsing around the clearly labeled aisles. Even just browsing the wide selection wasn't overwhelming and I could take in everything because everything was so well kept on the shelves and it was easy to find things. If you've been buying your supplements at other places, you've been missing out on price matching (seriously UNHEARD OF for this type of store), great friendly customer service and a wide variety of brands and items. Manager thinks you're stealing because how you look. 10/15/18@12:20pm, went in for some turmeric, got asked what I was looking for as soon as I walked in. As am reading the labels I get asked again if am finding everything ok? I say yes, then go over to b12 section, as am looking I get asked again, if am doing ok...wtf. yes thanks, then I go to prioboticts section...the manager comes over next to me touches the label on shelf and slowly starts to walk away. She goes to register as I follow her to the register she looks up tells associate to ring me up and walks away. I ask to speak to her and tell her I noticed what she did, she tells me it's her job to ask if customers need help. I tell her yes BUT asking a customer 3 to 4 times in under 5 minutes is not. First how can we help you was fine but then I noticed the manager was doing it on purpose. By Manager doing this told me that the manager thought I was Going to steal.
