From the valet to the front desk, the standard of customer service fell drastically short, leaving an indelibly negative impact. As we pulled onto the property, the valet's prolonged and disconcerting stare demanded my intervention to establish basic parking protocol. His dismissive comment about the brevity of our visit set off immediate red flags. Entering the premises, two front desk associates were engrossed in conversation, indifferent to our presence. Notably, when a resident sought assistance, they were promptly attended to, further emphasizing our apparent insignificance. Only after this interaction were we acknowledged, with an inquiry about our purpose. Despite our 4 pm appointment, the front desk provided paperwork and requested identification. A disconcerting exchange between associates over the unavailability of water added discord to an already frustrating experience. Compounding our dissatisfaction, a policy regarding identification was communicated without finesse. The subsequent 15-minute delay until Eddie, presumably a representative, arrived to address the situation only heightened our disappointment. While I respect policy adherence, the handling of this situation fell far short of acceptable standards. Open to rescheduling or exploring virtual tour options, the cumulative effect of these incidents left an enduring negative impression. In the realm of luxury high-rise apartments, this encounter deviated starkly from the expected standards observed in my recent exploration of similar properties over the past two months. Acknowledging that individuals and businesses may have challenging days, the extent of our negative experience during this single visit was disproportionately severe. I did not have the opportunity to move to Houston, but wanted to tell my experience about leasing an apartment at Catalyst. I even made a Yelp account solely to write this review. I walked in FRAZZLED and only had a few hours in the city to pick an apartment before I had to fly back home. Enter the red-haired angel that came to my rescue. I didn't know what I wanted and was not pleased with the idea to moving to Houston, but Miss Natalie made me feel at home. (She toured me not once but twice that day because I forgot to take pictures... OOPS!) Miss Natalie bent over backwards to get to know me, what I wanted, and made sure to tell me all the things that would remind me of home in Chicago. (I believe she is also a transplant Midwesterner, so she had excellent suggestions.) I applied and had to cancel my application because I decided not to take my job transfer... Miss Natalie STILL was gracious and let me know she would be there if I ever needed her again. In short, ask for Miss Natalie as you do NOT meet people like her every day, in any industry... I loved living at the Catalyst when I moved to Houston. The location of the building was perfect, close to so many great restaurants, bars, theatres, and fields. The staff was so great, welcoming, quick to respond, very respectful and understanding, and created a wonderful environment to live in. The amenities were beautiful between the gym, the pool, the office, and the club house lounge. Annette was efficient in getting me the unit that I wanted, and helped me throughout the entire process, making it super easy and smooth. Eddie was also very helpful in further questions that I had. Chris was very helpful and quick to respond. And Ally helped me transition into moving as well. Overall, Catalyst has an amazing team that make living there even better. I am grateful for a wonderful year at the Catalyst. The only thing that I regret is not staying longer. I highly recommend Catalyst to be your home. I can honestly say this place is outstanding in every respect. From the responsiveness of the staff, the parking situation, the amenities and location. We came from another high end apartment in Houston and travel the world extensively. Catalyst is perfect for us. And this is my first yelp review. No one asked me to write this. Felt obligated to let people know how great this place is. Incredible views of the city, beautiful apartment and amenities, and great location. Been living at this High-rise for about almost 2 months now and I've had nothing but the most exceptional experience here. Amazing gym, pool and little self service coffee nooks with the absolute best selection of coffee!!. I'm greeted everyday, doors always held open for residents and guest. Extremely clean and beautiful place. Security here is great, you use a keyless sensor for entry to any area including elevators and garage. Was given all the rules in the beginning as in no boxes in trash chute and guest services. I've had guest over and they have had nothing but a great experience and service from staff. I absolutely love this place. I come from Vegas and know the quality in high rises. This one by far is my number one of the 3 I like :) can't imagine someone not wanting to live here. I've lived here for about 3 months now and I can affirmatively say I can't imagine myself living anywhere else in Houston. The leasing team, maintenance crew, and front desk employees are second to none. Annette made getting my unit a breeze and was so helpful throughout the process. Abraham has helped me in more ways than one, kindly helping any guests I have visiting, answering my questions, and even assisting me with heavy packages!! The location is absolutely amazing, and I also believe that staff is very important, especially when you are living at any property. I've had a few things that I've had to contact maintenance about. Some went ok and some were awesome. This time was an awesome response. My garbage disposal went out about 2 weeks ago. I didn't contact the office until 2 days ago. Pedro came in and told me that the part to fix it had to be ordered and it would be in next week. Ok, no problem.
