Projection TV

Memorably good, and a little quirky. High-ceilinged lobby is visually "busy" with colorful sofas, chairs, large windows, a work room, knickknacks and a breakfast grill. Rooms are colorful with a terracotta ceiling accent and beautiful deep blue bathroom tiles and a black shower window. There's ample floorspace to do yoga (mat provided) or watch the projection TV on the blackout blinds. The bed is raised abnormally high to accommodate a pullout hangar closet (impractical) and pullout work desk (not as impractical, but still odd,) but the high bed has a very narrow space to access the far side of the bed, constrained by a safety railing. It's designed for extended stays with a hidden-drawer dishwasher, and hidden full-size fridge, induction cooktop, and microwave. The rooftop deck and bar is generously large and welcoming with lots of comfortable sitting areas indoors and out. Overall, I'd stay here again because of it's unique design features, but the high bed does take some getting used to.

My husband and I stayed here for a work trip, and found this place to be great. The decor is beautiful and artistic, service friendly and quick, check in/out easy, the gym (located across from the main entrance) small but effectual, and the morning breakfasts hot and delicious. The room layout is quite unique, making the most out of the smaller space. The hotel is located within walking distance of amazing restaurants, bars, shopping, breweries and so much more. There is so much to do during a stay here. Definitely one of our favorite locations!

One of my favorite hotels in the Denver area! We only did a quick 1 night staycation, but I wished it could have been longer. The lofted bed/projector combo is incredible, we didn't want to leave! They offer self check in, and breakfast in the mornings! They also have an awesome hot tub on the rooftop.

4.5 stars. I'm obsessed with the vibe of this hotel. So modern and classy! Did an overnight staycation at Catbird. Didn't realize it specializes in extended stays. How I'd love to live here for a week! Plenty of street parking around, though you might need to walk a block or two because it gets busy in RiNo. There's always valet parking. Not sure about self-parking options. The one thing I hated about Catbird was the self check-in kiosks that kept freezing whenever I tried to switch my credit card on file. So annoying. Other than that, the room and common spaces were exquisite. Comfortable with plenty of appliances that will make you feel at home. Haven't been to the rooftop yet, but it's on my bucket list for the near future!

CatBird lived up to its reputation, both visually and professionally. Main standouts: Amazing, safe location in RINO, convenience to the train, and wonderful team. The front desk staff were welcoming and sweet. The self check-in/out can feel a bit foreign if you've never used a similar system, but a team member was always around the corner at the front desk ready to assist. The valet staff was also so helpful and provided a moped tutorial to help me get acclimated with the Vespa. Their patience was Greatly appreciated! The added touches of hosting themed events through the week and the accessibility to rent beach cruisers/mopeds definitely made this hotel memorable.

Great place to stay in the very eclectic RiNo District. I wasn't a fan of the self-check in, especially when arriving after a full day of traveling, but my wife and I got through it. Dawn and Juliet were amazing and made us feel welcome each time we passed through the lobby area. The day valet (can't recall his name) when we arrived was super accommodating, even though we self parked. In contrast, the day valet when we checked out on 11/27 was more concerned with his phone than assisting us. The night staff (Dawn and Juliet) were far superior than the day staff, who didn't really acknowledge us. Oh well, their loss, not ours. Our room was great, though we had to call maintenance to figure out the shower (perhaps a helpful sign on diverting from faucet to shower head?) We loved the automatic blinds and projector, though the cooling fan is super loud. Our thermostat acted very flaky as we were constantly adjusting it as it wouldn't hold a steady temperature. We also took advantage of the rooftop hot tubs and had a very enjoyable evening up there. We would definitely stay at the Catbird again when we next visit Denver.

I will make this post on multiple sites because I feel so strongly. Just might have been the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff was so friendly. Rooms just perfect. If we wanted to, we would have had everything to cook in the room. And watching TV on the big roll down screen was a treat. Towels and bathroom wonderful. They had everything including free laundry facility at the end of the hall. Free breakfast, amazing bar and top patio roof. And Uber always close by. Picture is sunrise from room 521

I have no idea why this hotel's average star rating is anything less than 5 stars. We've stayed here over 3 times & it's honestly our favorite place to stay in Denver. We decided to get an air bnb this time because we're house training a pup & wanted a backyard that was easily accessible. Our experience was so bad we immediately called Catbird to see if we could get into a room STAT & they were so quick to accommodate our needs, we asked for a room close to the floor & not only did they do that but they had a room available right away for us to check in & they brought us a dog bed to our room. From here on out we're regulars here. My husband was just saying "we could live here!" because we have everything we need right in our room, having a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, skillet, induction burner, pour over tools, seriously, EVERYTHING!

I stayed at catbird for an entire month and my stay was absolutely wonderful. From Colter on to the entire staff, everyone was extremely kind and accommodating every step of the way. The room itself was extremely clean (housekeeping was awesome) and had literally everything you could think of/need for a long term stay. The set up is also extremely practical for a long term stay, with tons of storage space an organized in a way so the room doesn't ever feel cluttered. The location in RiNo is also awesome as you are walking distance to so many different shops, restaurants and bars. It's a beautiful hotel in an awesome location with great service, not much more you could ask for. I highly recommend catbird

Food stains

First time at this hotel. The vibe was cool but this location was so dirty! From the luggage carts all the way to the room. Our room had stains on the bed. Their chairs were very dirty. Blood or food stains in the blinds for the windows. Hair left in bathroom. The hot tub areas had a lot of seating but most chairs were broken and ripped. We asked for a room change and that room was better but still dirty. The windows weren't clean and fridge was dirty. We were offered a complimentary drink for the inconvenience and we asked if we could just get the $50 valet covered and they said it was separate. The valet is not there after a certain hour so you have to park your own car any ways and still pay $50 our car wasn't even pulled up for us when we left. Has great potential but need some upgrades and a new cleaning company!!!! I wish I took more photos.

The location really can't be beat. You're right in the heart of LoDo. Coors Field is a few blocks from the hotel and Union Station (which connects directly to Denver Airport) is only about a 5 minute walk away. Tons of restaurants, bars, and things to do are all within walking distance, which makes it extremely convenient. When booking, I asked for a high floor, quiet room so I could work. Upon check-in, they honored that request and also upgraded my room from a Journeyman to an Innovator Suite which I greatly appreciated. That upgrade definitely elevated the stay! The Innovator Suite was fantastic. It had two queen beds, two TVs, a full sofa, wet bar, dining table, flexible workspace, and city views overlooking Denver's LoDo District. The bathroom had a large soaking tub, which I had to take advantage off. There's no balcony and while the wet bar includes a small fridge, it's not really functional for anything beyond drinks as there's no space for leftovers or larger items. You also get a token per night to redeem for a free drink at the bar during happy hour, plus free drip coffee in the mornings. Other perks include free churros during social hour, a courtesy car service within a 2 mile radius, and discounts at various shops. There's also a fitness center, although I didn't use it. There were some things missing though: no pool, no spa, housekeeping is by request only, and no breakfast included. Service throughout was excellent. There's 24 hour front desk service and everyone I interacted with was cheerful, helpful, and kind. Overall, a strong stay with great service, a fantastic room upgrade, and an excellent location, even if a few expected amenities were missing for the price. If I had to come back to Denver and the company was covering the bill, I would stay again. The location really can't be beat. If I were coming for a leisure trip with a similar budget, I'd probably look for a hotel with a pool and spa instead. This hotel is best suited for people who want to experience LoDo nightlife, catch a game, or just be right in the middle of everything downtown. The room I was upgraded to was probably much more expensive than what I actually paid, which definitely improved the experience. I'm not sure I would feel the same way if I had stayed in the original room I booked. 4.5 stars rounded down.

The hotel is located downtown and not far from Union Station, which made getting in from the airport via train very easy. The hotel is within walking distance (about 10-15 minutes) of most downtown attractions, including bars, restaurants, and Coors Field. Anything farther was just a short car ride away. The rooms were spacious and well- designed, contemporary but still comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was large. We also checked out the gym during our stay, which was bigger than expected and had a good mix of cardio machines and free weights. We did not end up dining at the hotel restaurant, but we did enjoy the Kimpton happy hour around 5pm, which was a nice perk and a fun way to unwind before heading out for the evening. Breakfast is served daily, it's supposed to be until 10, I would leave to drop my son off and be back at 0945 and daily they would be cleaning out the food options. The food was hot or miss with quality, and sometimes there were apples or sometimes bananas, nothing consistent. The first 5 days the cereal was Cheerios and labeled gluten free, the other container had lucky charms and was labeled as Chex gluten free. Thank goodness my child knew that it was lucky charms and indeed gluten. The internet was spotty, I was working from the premises the entire time and often had to use my own hotspot. The washing machine for guest use requires quarters, which you have to buy from the front desk with cash. Two times the washer broke during use and I had to bag soaking wet clothes to hand over to maintenance to take to be washed. There is only one washer and dryer. Very disappointing for a long length of stay. Also in the age of technology there are several hotels that laundry is managed with an app, allowing me to pay via app and see how much long is left and if the machines are available. There is a lack of trash receptacles in the hotel. There are none on each floor by the elevator. Myself as well as others on our floor would leave a bag of trash outside of our room daily as we don't want our room to smell like the food we ate all day/night. On our first full day here we took it down to look for a trash can and the one outside the front doors where people unload their vehicle was overflowing, we noted this multiple days of our stay. Housekeeping were friendly in the halls, they service rooms once every 3 days. Since I was working in the room and I kept the room clean we used the sign on the door to opt to have them come when we were ready. If I saw them in the halls it was easy to get trash bags, towels and cups. One day we requested service and sat in the lobby working all day and they never came by. Keep in mind it's a refresh, our bed was already made and we keep our room clean, I just wanted a tidy of the bathroom counter, towels etc. I had to reach out to the front desk to ask around 415 for service but it needed to be quick because we were coming back to the room. They were able to oblige and serviced it quickly. The refrigerators are very small and not cold, perhaps an option in some rooms for people with lengthier stays to have a larger refrigerator and freezer options. We couldn't purchase any frozen items for our lengthy stay with only a small fridge. The location is nice, easy to get to anywhere on campus or to the downtown area, performing arts area etc. several Ubers are often in the area for further driving needs. Over all of we came to Denver for a long stay I might consider staying here but would look at options with better amenities for food and wash. For a short stay it would meet my needs.

However, if your intention is to actually enjoy the pool and resort amenities during your stay, you may be very disappointed. Access to the pool area required being placed on a waiting list, with multiple guests waiting ahead of us while others continued to arrive hoping to enjoy the facilities included with their stay. For a property at the Four Seasons level and the premium nightly rates guests pay, this experience is difficult to understand. Following the recent expansion, I would have expected the resort to have adequately planned for guest demand and ensured sufficient capacity for its amenities. Guests should not have to spend part of their vacation waiting for access to the pool. While the accommodations and check-in experience were excellent, the lack of availability and assistance regarding the pool significantly impacted the overall experience and did not meet the expectations associated with the Four Seasons brand. Rather than feeling like a luxury Four Seasons property, the hotel felt more like a small boutique hotel with inconsistent service standards. On our second day, housekeeping did not service our room in the morning. Instead, they knocked on our door around 2:00 PM to ask if we wanted the room cleaned while we were still in the room. Later that same day, we left for dinner and a show around 5:00 PM and specifically requested that the room be serviced while we were away. When we returned at approximately 8:40 PM, housekeeping was still cleaning the room. We had to wait in the lobby before we could return, which was extremely frustrating. Even after the room was completed, it had not been properly serviced. Trash was left behind, used coffee cups were removed but not replaced, leaving us without coffee for the next morning, and bathroom amenities were not replenished. This level of service was extremely disappointing and did not reflect the standards I expect from a Four Seasons property. Unfortunately, this stay did not feel like a luxury hotel experience, and it will certainly make us reconsider booking future stays with Four Seasons. Denver , Colorado

The services were available but were not actively proffered. On the other hand, their spa was utterly fantastic! The hotel food was lackluster and focused on steak over anything else. They had other types of food, obviously, but steak was in plentiful abundance over anything. The housekeeping staff was amazing and on top of their game. The room quality was very good and spacious; larger than most hotels' suites. The in-room bar and mini-fridge were not free despite being labeled an "honor bar." I'm not cheap; I have no issue paying. My issue is the deceptive marketing of the so-called honor bar. The room's furniture was not cheap, but it did appear tacky with the illusion of being of quality. On the positive side, the staff were polite and attentive, and the room was cleaned while I was out. The view was also very impressive. Overall, with all things considered, I'd pick a different hotel; there are better hotels in the immediate area with a lower price tag and the spa is not worth it, despite its attentive and fantastic service.
