We recently used Catered Too as a recommended vendor through our venue, Blanco Urban. When we did the taste test, they were so receptive to our preferences and made changes to what we preferred and followed through on our wedding day. We also asked for a halo halo bar, which everyone enjoyed! We worked with Teri who was responsive to answering our emails and followed up on any dietary restrictions that any of our guests had. We received numerous positive comments on how good the food tasted! 1 star for food quality. Our company hired Catered Too for an event, so I can't comment on the service, as many reviews seem to focus on that. However, the food itself was disappointing and deserving of just 1 star. While I understand that serving nearly 2,500 people is a challenge, it still felt like the quality suffered significantly. The BBQ was cold from the start, and the taste was bland and greasy. The potato salad was greasy, and the Four Cheese Macaroni Bake with Lobster was also cold with only mediocre flavor. If I had hired them for my own event, I would have been very disappointed and embarrassed to serve food like this to my guests. read more

It was a pleasure to work with CateredToo leading up to our wedding. Susan was really responsive in our initial inquiries and provided a ton of options for us that aligned with the dinner experience we wanted. Susan worked with us to help us develop a menu that we were excited about and that did not stray too far from our budget. We also thoroughly enjoyed our tasting. The chef came out at the end of our tasting to chat with us and talk through different potential options for our menu. We could definitely see how much passion the team had for their craft. It was not until the day of the event that we realized there were a couple of instances of miscommunication between us and the vendor. We noticed that one of the dishes that we selected was changed entirely due to it being made gluten-free. While we appreciated their effort to be responsive to dietary restrictions, we had only meant to inquire which dishes contained gluten (not to actually update/change any of the dishes). Our entrees did not end up as expected, but the desserts were very delicious. Secondly, we did not fully understand the expectations for the caterer timeline, resulting in the team unexpectedly staying longer and us being charged for that overtime. Overall, we felt CateredToo was really professional, but we did experience some hiccups on the day-of. read more

We worked with Catered Too for our wedding in April of 2023. They were fantastic every step of the way. During the initial planning, we sat with the owner and event manager who walked us through each of the items we had requested to taste. They bounced ideas off of us throughout the entire tasting and we ended up with such a cool menu that was perfect for our event. I always had a dream of having a potato bar at my wedding and they made that dream come true with some truffle scented tater tots, regular and sweet potato fries, and potato skins as a late night snack! Catered Too knocked it out of the ballpark with my wedding! The process started with phone consultation. My husband and I were pretty vague! We were having a tropical-themed wedding, and we wanted to incorporate Asian (I'm Chinese Filipino) and French influences (my husband is French). Catered Too came back with a menu that was above our expectations and heavily Filipino-inspired, which I wasn't expecting - it turns out Chef Eric, the CEO & owner, is Filipino! We had our tasting with Catered Too, and they asked us for every detail of our opinion, whether it was positive or negative. We were SUPER happy about all of the dishes and just had minor nitpicks but were very unhappy about the fish dish. Catered Too really listened to this feedback and gave us 5 other excellent fish dishes to choose from and had us back for a second tasting to try the fish dish and our signature cocktail. I was just wow'ed by this! Teri and the whole team really cares that we felt good about the whole process and confident in what the food would taste like at the wedding beforehand, so we wouldn't be stressed out. The menu was: Cocktail hour: - Poisson Cru - Duck Confit Lumpia (my favorite among the hors d'oeuvres) - Scallop in grean pea puree and chervil sauce (favorite among many in our family) - Deconstructed charcuterie & cheese board Buffet: - Honey glazed peach salad (the peaches were so ripe and grilled perfectly!) - Adobo fried rice - Ginger scallion noodles - Grilled portobello steak "au poivre" - Australian barramundi - Asian-inspired porchetta with lemongrass, garlic, shallots, and cilantro (chef-carved!) Dessert: - Mini eclairs with macapuno pastry cream - White chocolate passionfruit pots de creme - French macarons (black sesame, chai tea latte, green tea, pineapple coconut) - Lychee panna cotta - Almond cookie Everything tasted so good! The porchetta skin in particular was perfectly crispy. My only regret was that I didn't have all the desserts at the wedding, because I was too busy dancing! The desserts are VERY good. Catered Too has an in-house pastry chef! I worked with Susan Arrghi on a socially distant Executive offsite meeting in Menlo Park, CA. From the start of the process, Susan was so accommodating and helpful. We did a walkthrough of the space and made some determinations. The Chef and day-of coordinator also joined us on the walk. We were able to talk through a COVID safe event and layout what we needed. The day-of staff was absolutely stellar. Events are hard enough to execute flawlessly, then you add all of the needed precautions, making it even more difficult. I recently had the pleasure of working with Teri on a wedding that we had been planning for a client of ours for a while now.....then COVID hit and we had to adjust plans. We had to change the location, style and guest count of the wedding and she was more than happy to roll with all of the changes and came up with many many great solutions. It is always great to work with someone who has so much knowledge, not only on food and catering but events and flow! When it came to the day of the wedding I was blown away with all of the precautions that were taken by the Catered Too staff. Everyone had many sets of gloves (for changing out when needed) mask and shields and they even brought their own washing stations to the site! Teri came up with the best solution for the appetizers during the short cocktail reception-everything was individually boxed and each guest were handed their own trio of the delicious apps. This style of service took so much more detail, time and work but everyone on their team was happy to do so. And then the event they catered for us was outstanding from start to finish. Teri is a star in her profession. They catered my daughters wedding at Muriettas Well just this a last weekend and the service and food was amazing. We received a lot of compliments from our guests, from the super yummy appetizers (the chicken pot pie, my friends, was so cute and delicious) to the tasty dinner with great portion sizes, to the dessert bar (I tasted everything to be sure, hehe), and the late bite mac and cheese. Even if you weren't hungry it was just too good to pass up. It really minimizes any stress when the caterer is experienced with the venue, so don't be put off when your venue has an exclusive list to choose from. Wow. My list of great things to say goes on and on for Teri and the team at Catered Too. Teri took a lot of time to answer many many questions regarding layout and time frame for our wedding and she was incredibly thorough and helpful. We were planning a wedding from out of state and weren't able to taste the food before hand, but that was not an issue- EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING- I mean it, absolutely delicious. It's a shame I was in a tight wedding gown I didn't get to eat more..but they did send us home with a large tray of leftovers ;) Another thing-24 hours before the start of our wedding we were shockingly told by our venue that we would not be able to hold our reception there. I called Teri and although surprised she did not skip a beat. They were able to show up the next morning at a surprise venue they had never been to before (and neither had we) and created a perfect wedding dinner, bar and wonderful service. They do it all. I really can't quite express adequately through this review how happy we were with everything that Teri (our catering manager) and the entire team did for us! I think one of the most memorable moments I had was just being able to witness the level of dedication Teri had for her job and to both my now husband and I. She always greeted us with a warm smile and had excellent follow through, even when I had 5 million questions that might've driven anyone up the wall. She helped with pricing (one of the only vendors that stayed within our slim budget), create a delicious, but ample meal, and all the details like what color table cloths/napkins to cover our tables with..! They made such a stressful time, a breeze! My fiance and I were introduced to Catered Too by the Glass House. We wanted Thai food for our wedding so here we are! Teri, the manager, is super sweet and responsive. Every time we send her an email she replies right away (or within a day) so our questions are answered immediately. Recently, we had our food tasting at their place and had the pleasure of meeting our chef Ngoc, who will be cooking for our wedding. That was the greatest experience that we've had. Catered Too! was very flexible with us as we had to change our 2nd annual concert fundraiser from June to October, 2020 due to the pandemic. By mid-summer we had to pivot from an in-person fundraiser to a virtual event. Terri worked with us and came up with great ideas and options to deliver a "Party in Place" to our Sponsors and VIP's to enjoy from the comfort and safety of their homes while they watched (and donated) to our event. We use these guys for events at work. They are very professional and punctual. They bring all the linens and utensils. Set up and take down. All you have to do is bring your appetite. Now to the food. Repeat after me...Waldorf Chicken Salad Sandwich. OMG, this one is my favorite. Although all their sammies are good. The Waldorf has chicken, apples and bleu cheese. Yum! We recently had them cater a Spring Fling lunch for our employees. David an executive chef at Catered Too! put together a terrific menu for us. Chicken with artichoke sauce-moist and tons of flavor Tomatoe risotto-very nice Salad with feta cheese, dried cranberries, and candied almonds w/ raspberry vinagrette-I had 2 helpings of that. Came here for their open house and I must say I enjoyed the variety of food that they offer. The place is not at its best location but it's fairly close to the police station. So I guess it's safe!!! The people here are very down to earth and hospitable. We were given a tour of the building: kitchen, storage, laundry room, etc. The building seems small from the outside but it's actually pretty big. The food were displayed nicely in small portions. In the beginning I thought to myself that I would not get full, but I was wrong. After I kept eating and trying out different types of food I was getting to the point where I had to stop and save some room for desserts. My wife should be the one writing this review, though I am going to take a stab at it. David(Chef) was phenomenal, he came out at the tasting and was talking with both my wife and I for 15 minutes really trying to understand what we wanted, and the sea bass was better than I have had at Michelin stared restaurants. Terri, though I didn't talk with her much, my wife loved her and Terri was more than accommodating of her preferred form of communication, email. And Stephanie, WOW, she was one of the most impressive human beings that I have encountered in my 34 years of existence. We had about 150 guests at our home and when Catered Too! left the place was in better shape than when they first showed up. The staff was on top it and never once during our big day did I feel like I needed to micro manage anything their team was doing. Both my wife and I are do it your selfers, and we had no struggles organizing with Terri what additional items we needed on the day of, things like napkins and knives, not to mention the gourmet kitchen, which they literally brought and set up in our courtyard...it was perfect!
