Kenneth is really easy to work with. I found him online and had 4 days to pull together a "photo booth" for our company holiday party. Luckily Kenneth was free. He arranged to have an assistant at our party that would help guests pick and print photos they wanted right at the event! The prints had our company logo, event name and the date on them and they looked amazing. He even added a snowflake at my request. I appreciated that although EVERYONE was late to the party due to an accident that had shut down 280, packed 101 and an accident on CalTrain that delayed people by nearly 2 hours, Kenneth was on time! I could breathe a little easier as I crept along in 5mph traffic knowing that at least that part of the set-up was taken care of. The event went later than expected and Kenneth just kept on working. He was very understanding about the party getting a late start. Once the alcohol started flowing and inhibitions were lowered, people really got in to the photos and I saw some great shots in the free online gallery Kenneth set up for us. He sent it to me just hours after the event was over (1:30am!) and I was able to send it out to all the attendees early the next morning. At our party, our company held a raffle and Kenneth donated 3 free 8x10 prints to our event which was awesome! Thanks for the generosity, Kenneth! Overall, he was great. Kenneth was amazing to work with for our executive photos/corporate headshots! We had used another photographer originally who unfortunately didn't have enough experience in this area and the photos looked like passport pics. Kenneth was very flexible with a tight schedule because we did these photos alongside a board meeting and made everyone feel really comfortable. Since getting head shots with Kenneth, I got a new camera over the holidays that I have not learned how to use yet other than the default auto setting. I heard that Kenneth also offers photography lessons for beginners so I decided to take a personal 1-on-1 class with him since I'm going on safari and I want to learn how to take awesome shots. Needless to say, it was fantastic! He walked me through the basics of what all the dials are for (P, auto, M, A, etc) as well as photography principles like playing with depth of field, ISO settings, aperture, and shutter speed. I hired Kenneth to do a 2 hr introductory class on food photography for my team - he did an awesome job! Pre-class: We worked together to define the exact curriculum & format of the class. Since most of the team didn't have a lot of photography experience, Kenneth recommended a one hour theory and one hour lab/practicum class, which worked out really well! Kenneth also had some really insightful questions that helped me think through what I wanted the team to walk away with. Class: Theory The content Kenneth covered was perfect - broad enough that the team got a sense of the concepts/equipment/techniques/vernacular of the photography space without being overwhelmed, but deep enough in specific areas that the team walked away with a pretty good understanding of 2-3 concepts. The examples Kenneth provided were extremely helpful too - you could quickly begin to see & understand the difference between a more "professional" shot and an off-hand beginner shot. Kenneth also talked through the artistic and technical elements of photos - I found that really helpful for internalizing the "photographer's eye". Class: Practicum This was probably my (and many others') favorite part - getting to take pictures and play with the photography equipment & techniques we'd just learned about! We set up a few scenes and talked through the various aspects- lighting, composition, etc. And both live, during the shot, and after, we were able to compare a straightforward shot with a more experienced and nuanced shot. I recently purchased Kenneth's Amazon Local deal which included three photography classes (Basics, Adobe Lightroom, & Hands-On Practice Clinic) for the awesome price of 79 dollars!!! This 4 hour session was super informative and very hands-on. I currently use a Canon 7d with a 50mm and 17-40mm L as my go to lenses. I have a very clear understanding of the ins and outs of my camera and now prefer to shoot in Manual. The other class member had a Nikon 7000 and was also able to learn everything I did from Kenneth. He has a full working knowledge of Nikon and Canon cameras. I worked with Kenneth last year on a home staging project, and he did such a terrific job that I decided to hire him for my fitness photo shoot. I live in CA and he in AZ, but he is so trustworthy and so talented that I didn't want to hire any local photographers but Kenneth. As for the fitness photo shoot, the shots had to be taken perfectly because the pictures were going to be submitted to a fitness competition that would feature me as a main model for a calendar. How well the shots were taken was the fine line on whether I won a main spot in the calendar or not. But Kenneth nailed it!! He really nailed the job perfectly!! Kenneth was so detail-oriented and so meticulous that he took the time to ensure the lighting was right, the mood was right, and the posing looked natural and beautiful. And Kenneth is so easygoing and has such an affable nature, that you can't help but feel at ease, even when doing a photo shoot in a bikini for a fitness competition. Kenneth made me feel so comfortable that my shots definitely showed how relaxed I was, rather than awkward or ill at ease. And what a creative mind he has. My son was part of my photo shoot and Kenneth made the session really fun and worthwhile for him. Because let's face it -- what child is willing to tolerate a long photo session? But because Kenneth encouraged my son to pretend he was a super hero, the photo shoot turned from a chore into a really energetic and fun session! When I showed the pictures to other people, one of whom was also a photographer, that person readily professed that Kenneth did indeed have talent and creativity in capturing the shots he took. Finally, I told Kenneth that the submission requirements for my fitness shots were extremely tight that he literally had only a couple of days to return the final shots back to me. And once again, Kenneth didn't fail me. He worked through his Thanksgiving vacation, which he could have otherwise been spending with his family. Kenneth edited and cleaned up the shots, and made sure that the pictures were of the correct format and size for the fitness photo requirements.
