We adopted two of our precious babies from this organization and had a great experience each time. The volunteers all truly care about the animals and they're kind and helpful.

I've adopted 3 of my dogs from Renee with catering to cats and dogs; Rosie (12), Bear(9) and Jackson(15) and our cat Ninja from Donna who is now (8). I love all my babies and grateful for this rescue. They are a wonderful group of people who save so many unwanted dogs and cats and take pride in their hard work to get them into adoptable condition.

We adopted our cat, Perseus, from C2CND. Having adopted dogs previously from shelters as well as from a different rescue, we were pleased with how quickly our application was processed. We wanted to adopt our cat from a rescue because we wanted to have an idea of the cat's temperament and whether it would be a good fit in our home. Roseanne was able to match us with a cat whose personality is absolutely perfect for our home (she even held a virtual meet with us with him, as COVID made an in-person meet unwise). We are in love with our newest family member and would highly recommend C2CND.

C2CND is amazing!!! Anyone who gets frustrated with their THOROUGH vetting for adopters obviously has the wrong intentions. We fell in love at first site with Roo (pit mix) at one of their adoption events a few years ago. We put in an application and had no issue at all with what they required from us: vet referral, home check, introduction to our other dog, lots of questions. They care so deeply for all their animals and do everything necessary to ensure they are going to good homes, to the right home! The woman that was fostering Roo was amazing and we have kept in touch since adopting. I ran into some medical issues recently and C2CND reached out to see if there was anything they could do to help with Roo. They are amazing, caring people and once you adopt, you are considered family. The entire experience was fantastic!

    My new baby Zoey!

They all just got spayed/neutered and were awaiting pick up for their new homes. A lot of the big dogs too. They were only about 4 available dogs. I got there about 3pm and also saw people leaving the clinic side of the building with their cone head dogs too. This makes my heart so happy. This place is doing wonderful things and making magic. They had adorable cats too, well 1 cat and about 6 kittens. ‍ also noticed they had a cat cafe but I didn't see a espresso machine and I only saw 1 cat. I don't know if it's only open certain hours but that's a wonderful idea. The sign said tea also so I hope they're able to get that going and they make need a volunteer for the cafe. Or a book club and other groups to visit! Wink wink

It's been a while since we've visited the humane society. I remember that we were able to interact…read morewith the animals last time we visited, which was quite a bit ago honestly. But this time it was different. You had to get on a wait list to be let in the room, and they watch you the entire time, and you have to commit to adopting in order to interact with the cats and dogs, which is so much pressure. I was told that they had to do it this way because the old way was stressing the animals out, because people had unruly children... I can see it both ways, but I was selfish in the moment and just wanted to cuddle some cuteness. I wish people would consider these things when they go places with their children, teach your kids how to properly interact with animals, and respect their space. That's how I teach my son, I point out the animals social cues to him, I tell him when to pull back if the animal is getting over simulated. We've never had an issue, we always enjoy our visits with our furry friends and it's always a great time! So, I hate that a boundary had to be set, most people are looking for their next pet and may not be ready to commit in that moment, had I known this prior to coming we would have not come at all. The facility is clean, but the minute you walk in to where the animals are being kept, you are slapped in the face with a really pungent smell... Some dogs had feces in the spaces that they were being kept in, which was really sad. Dogs are much messier than cats so I know it happens. Our visit this time around wasn't as pleasant, because of the changes. But the staff were super nice and attentive.

While there, I decided to look at the other cats up for adoption while hubby completed our paperwork. The staff led me to a lively playroom full of beautiful cats. I asked who had been in the shelter the longest and that's when I met Camille. She'd been at the shelter for just over a year and was extremely shy. I fell in love. They offered me some one on one time with her in a small room. They were all visibly excited someone asked for a private meeting with her. Such a sweet baby, I knew I had to bring her home. We didn't bring a crate to the shelter but I assumed they'd have a cardboard box to bring her home. I was shocked when they offered to let us purchase two small plastic cat crates for $5 each. Each one was clean and hardly looked used. These were the kind of crates you'd pay $25-$30 in a pet store to get!! Camille's adoption fee was waived. They loaded up two large shopping bags to the brim with new beds, toys, food, treats, and bowls. Several staff members had tears of joy to see Camille, and Ginger, had a loving home together. It was touching to see the genuine care of the staff and volunteers had for the animals in their care. I'm so happy to report my Ginger and Camille have been with us for over a year.
