In the last year and a half I have tried to change the way I interact with food... i.e.-take in less than I work off. I have done fairly well getting myself into a better, healthier version of myself and have proudly slain many of my former bad habits. I was rockin' along at a great pace.... and then my friend introduced me to the Espresso Shake from the Coffee Bean. Ice-cream has been my arch enemy since I was old enough to sneak a quick toddler tongue slurp off my Mum's cone when I was but a wee lass. That was the day I met my nemisis. *dramatic fist shake* Yes, my kryptonite is sweet innocent ice-cream. Lord have Mercy these shakes are so good! I just get the regular version without added flavoring. Apparently you can be transported to heaven by adding caramel, white chocolate, or some other flavor combination. I have a healthy fear of taking my new addiction any farther down the already scary road it's on without needing to add fodder to that flame. Right now I allow myself one shake MAYBE every two weeks because if I imbibe on that sweet dessert drink (do they add crack??!?!) any more than that I have a distinct feeling my friends would eventually find me curled up in a ball under the counter spying the baristas secret process so I can make them myself at home. Since I'm pretty sure none of my friends have enough money on hand to bail me out of jail, I plan to keep my interactions with the Coffee Bean on the up-and-up! Truth be told I have not tried any other drinks on their menu but I have it on good authority that they are as good and probably somewhat less lethal to a dieter. Currently it's too cold to sit outside whenever I go through the drive-thru but soon enough this spring/summer I look forward to chillin' there with my kryptonite in hand as I watch the entertaining citizens of Richland meander by. read more

What a gem! The drinks aren't too sweet, the snacks are handmade, and the service is delightful. For Halloween, they were totally kitted out. It's a drive-thru coffee stand more than an eatery (there's a little outdoor seating) but worth a visit. read more

Was excited to try this place, I arrived 15 minutes before closing and the first thing they said was they can't make blended drinks. So if you're looking for a blended drink get there before 15 mins.... lol. Asked for a scone and when she handed it to me it was frozen, rock hard and cold. Drinks tasted bland and watery. The two ladies working there had an attitude with my husband when he tried to exchange or get a refund of the scone... I used to go to Coffee Bean daily before work. The drinks weren't 't too sweet, it always had the right amount coffee taste plus perfect amount of flavor. The people were always nice & always greeted you. It would be busy but I never had to wait over 15 minutes regardless how long the line was. Fast forward to recent months, the wait is long even if there is only one car in line. Today took about 25 minutes to get to the window when there were only 2 cars in front of me. The ladies were not very friendly & definitely looked like they hated their jobs. There was no sense of urgency, I looked back & now the line was to the street when there were no cars behind me when I got there. Each person said at most 4 words that did not include 'hello' or 'thank you.' They obviously forgot to have their coffee this morning. Omg I am so freaking appalled at the coffee bean which by the way was my most favorite coffee stop in Richland until today now I am in raged I think my heart is going to explode. For the past month I have been in Kadlec trying to help my mom through Covid which she has been fighting for her life and Covid is winning so I went for drink that I love when I need some comfort but to my surprise as I sat thinking of my mom kinda not paying attention to the owner he was to busy with his conversation to somebody on the other side where they talk and overhear the conversation and then I looked up and couldn't believe it had I was seeing and hearing knowing all the people from Kadlec who always for years have been loyal customers well he doesn't wear a mask and was telling his friend well I untied some other friend over but he is one of those people his words that is worried about Covid. Well that is all it took to turn me from a twenty year customer faithful loyal customer to now the biggest hater of the coffee bean stand. Thank you for showing me how much you care about your customer and the general public I will make it my mission to spread the word to every social media ave I can think of already warned the Hosptial . He has been busy and Covid hasent really hurt his stand because Richland has loved that stand and kept him going all these year. I am sure all the doctors nurses and all the people like me watching there family die will appreciate knowing how much he cares about his community. I've driven by this establishment for years, and today while walking home, I thought I'd give them a try. Prompt/friendly service, and they make a decent latte. There is no indoor seating, so don't expect a cozy place to sip your brew and read the paper, but does that matter? I love this little coffee stand, Ive had many many drinks from here. It is family owned and operated and they make you feel like part of the family once they memorize your drink. Ive had girls bring my drink out to me while I was still in line behind three other cars! Brock is my favorite, he makes my mocha perfectly every time. My normal drink from any coffee shop as a test and regular day is a iced quad light ice americano with Carmel. With coffee bean I only got a triple and it was perfect for me. The Carmel blended well and there was no water in it so ice was perfect amount. I plan to come back and try more of there drinks in the future read more
