This isn't my everyday spot, even though it's literally on my daily route, because let's be honest, I don't buy chaos that often. But when I do stop in? It's always a treat. Like a little reward for surviving life. I remember this place during COVID. Empty. Deserted. Sahara level emptiness. One heroic worker holding the line, staring into the void, still making coffee like a champion. Back then my go to was their coconut cold brew... which, thank God, is STILL on the menu. Do yourself a favor and try it. It got me through lockdown emotionally. And yes, I still went to coffee shops during lockdown, coffee was essential, don't argue with me. Fast forward to today and WOW. This place has absolutely blown up, in the best way. Every time I walk in now, there are people ordering, hanging out, working remotely, pretending they're writing novels, the whole vibe. Clearly they've got regulars, but the coolest part? The baristas still help you right away and don't make you feel like you interrupted their coffee cult meeting. Immediate love. No awkwardness. Honestly, between the decor, the people, the drinks, and how clean everything is, this place just gets it. It's warm, it's cool, it's consistent, and it somehow went from "COVID ghost town" to "community hub" without losing its soul. My wife and I were in the area for a craft fair. So of course I was on Yelp looking for the perfect coffee shop! Cabana Coffee Company is right up my alley, extremely coffee focused! The perfect coffee shop for my wife and I has pour over for me and creative lattes for my wife. Cabana delivers that in a major way. They roast their own coffee and the baristas were polite and knowledgeable. I was tempted by their double dark roast or their hyper caffeinated El Chapo but the barista recommended their medium roast Legender for a first time customer. Glad he did, it was smooth and flavorful. My wife loved the foam on her chai tea latte. Plenty of comfortable seating, cozy and nicely decorated for the holiday season, and a clean bathroom rounded out a very pleasant experience! read more

This cafe is so close to me and I drive by all the time but have never been. Well that changed last week! I stopped in on Tuesday morning after an appt on Rt 23 and it was busy! The wait took a few minutes since there was only one person working behind the counter, but he was friendly and working as fast as he could. I ordered the Cream and Bean which is basically a Creme Brûlée latte. I figured that kind of flavor profile would be best hot, but really wanted it iced and I was pleasantly surprised! read more

Came in on a rainy Thursday and service was quick, and everyone that I encountered was friendly. I was informed about this specialty latte for a dog that's in a shelter, so I got that and was pleasantly surprised. It was a great pick me up for the morning. Some of the best coffee grounds around. I've bought from cabana a multitude of times and have always been impressed. Once I started buying their coffee grounds it got even better. I tried this ground of theirs called Mudd which is extra extra roasted, and it's amazing. Such a unique flavor and very fairly priced for a bag. I'll always be a customer here. read more

Excellent tasting coffee and they have organic beans which isn't overly common at many coffee shops. No drip coffee, because it's all freshly made to order via pour over. They roast their own beans, as well. Tried the organic Sumatra and was impressed. They have four reading chairs, a couple high tops, and a large 6 seater table. At a speciality coffee house paying premium for a coffee drink you expect consistency and attention to detail. 1st time here, we were super impressed with the quality of the chocolate covered strawberry lattes ( barista even drizzled chocolate on bottom of lattes) we didn't mind spending the $$. However the 2nd time, Chai latte was better from a supermarket paid extra for oat milk AND the chocolate covered latte was like a collata from Dunkin and barista didn't even bother to drizzle the bottom of cup with chocolate... So not sure if we will ever come back considering there within the neighborhood... super disappointed.. read more

Stopped in too support local business after seeing a recent social media post. WOW! One of the smoothest containers of coffee I've had. The coffee is a pour over brew. What a great experience. I Had the pleasure of meeting the owner Katie. After being a little overwhelmed by the menu, She enthusiastically made a recommendation which was right on point. Amazing! This place has been recommended to me numerous times throughout the years so I'm happy that I finally got a chance to try it. The ambiance of a locally owned coffee shop shines through and those helping you make you feel like home. I had to knock off a star because the coffee in the latte I ordered was burnt, but the beans we took home were amazing. Nice spot. Pros: 1) They have comfy couches with cozy lighting and window(s). 2) The hot chocolate on a cold rainy day is excellent. 3) The Chocolate Brownie Bar (confection) and White Chocolate Blondie Bar (confection) were excellent with the chai latte, coffee, or hot chocolate. Cons: 1) They do not have sugar free pumps (syrup). Wish they had sugar free walnut or chocolate pumps. 2) They close really early at 4pm EST. Wish they stayed open until 7PM EST. read more

What a wonderful, comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Their coffee is so delicious and fresh. All coffee beans are hand roasted by them. The flavor is exceptional. One of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. I loved sitting in the big arm chairs and looking out the window. I can't believe I've lived in Wayne for years and never knew of this place! First off the man at the counter is super friendly and the chai latte was delicious! The interior is very cozy with comfortable chairs and they play good music, definitely a great spot to work from "home". Best part is it's dog friendly and they offer puppacinos! 10/10 recommend I can't wait to go back and try some other drinks! I noticed they had maple flavor so I'm excited to try that! read more

The small coffee I paid a medium size for.... I always support local small coffee shops and Cabana Coffee is usually one of my go-to's. They have great coffee and atmosphere however after today I'm going to rethink about going to them. Today was the second incident where I asked for a certain size or certain coffee and they give me the wrong one and they don't acknowledge it and make it correct. Today I asked for a medium size latte with almond milk and a little cinnamon on top. They were busy which I understand but when my coffee came out, it was a small. I told the girl I asked for a medium and paid for a medium. Her response was: "I could change the cup but the medium is the same amount of expresso shots and just more milk." I looked at the time and was running a little late so I just said i'll just take the small. But in my head, I'm like, if I paid for medium, give me a medium. What's gets to me is that she didn't acknowledge she made a mistake and just fixed it. Another time I asked for hot coffee and they have me iced after I told them twice I wanted hot and still no acknowledgment. They do have great coffee and all but I don't want to keep paying more for something less. read more

Cabana Coffee Company is so much more then I could have ever expected. I stumbled across this gem while traveling through Wayne, NJ. Pure luck, and I don't know what I did to deserve such a blessing. The owners are true coffee enthusiasts and you can taste their creativity and pride in their coffee. They roast their own beans specialize in a brilliant pour over drip coffee. BUT they also do a unique collection of coffee on tap, this alone is worth the drive. They have built a great community of coffee lovers in this little place called Wayne. read more

From the Tolima to the Sierra Nevada everything is awesome here. When you walk in it's like walking into Cheers. Friendly staff and very good coffee! It's hard to find these types of establishments in this area, so was happy to see it pop up when I was searching for coffee in the area that wasn't a chain. I got the Brazilian medium roast pour over which was super hot (a good thing), and very smooth. Would go back whenever I'm home. read more

It all started with my passion for enjoying the best coffees from around the world. On a mission to find a commercial coffee roaster I came across a 17 year old Primo roaster located in New Hampshire so off I went and within two weeks I was perfecting my roasting skills. Our roasting is now done in our Franklin Lakes Coffee Lab. The roasting has been perfected and we are pleased to be able to bring our Coffee to Bergen County, New Jersey and to the rest of the country. Now Koffeewagon has expanded with its new sister company Cabana Coffee Company with all organic coffee line. Selling to retail, wholesale and to non-profits. To be sure, there are a growing number of coffee options in North Jersey and Pour City ranks at the top. Owners and staff are coffee experts who gladly share their coffee knowledge in detail. The shop is clean and hangout worthy. Most important, beans are excellent single source, roasted in house, packed and dated in one-pound bags, which is unique these days. Coffee beans are ground to order when sold, but not before two days after roast. This allows time for gasses to escape and a better taste. We usually choose a medium-dark roast that provides a balanced flavor. Not withstanding the 5-star there is a strong caveat that a few coffee enthusiasts may care about. The house grinder does not grind coarse enough for french press which produces residue in the cup and some bitterness in the brew.
