Exactly what a lounge should be. We stopped by this lounge twice. Once during our layover to Budapest, and the second on our way back to the US. Both times, the service and the food was impeccable. Having a truly relaxing lounge makes you feel more well rested during travel, and Cathay Pacific Airways First Class Lounge delivered well beyond my expectations. The decor here is beautiful. Think rich woods, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the tarmac and ficus trees elevating the space. The lounge on both occasions was moderately busy but not overcrowded. The first visit we camped out in a more isolated area and found some great seats with views of the tarmac and helped ourselves to some really delicious bites. I had a delicious smacked salmon finger sandwich, an Earl Gray Panna cotta, and a raspberry cheesecake in a shot glass. Everything was fantastic and tasted like great quality food. I washed it all down with some reduced fat milk, because if you don't know- the milk in the UK is phenomenal! On our second visit to this lounge a week later, we opted for the dining room experience and ordered some soups and fish and chips. Oh my word- this was THE BEST fish and chips I ever had! It was fresh and the batter was crunchy and perfectly seasoned- then the tartar sauce was off-the-charts good! It was tangy, zippy and was hands down the most amazing tartar sauce. I never knew tartar sauce could be this good! I polished off my meal with a strawberry pavlova at the end and it was a perfect meal! The restroom facilities are clean and peaceful. The lighting is low and relaxing. You have to exit the first class lounge and the restroom is shared between both the first class and business class lounges, but both times, the there were no waits and there were plenty of stalls. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at the Cathay Pacific Airways First Class Lounge. It truly felt luxurious and posh. Best of all, I felt like I was rebooted and ready to continue on with my travel refreshed and in a better state than when I arrived. Well done! read more

Out of Qantas, British Airways and Cathay Pacific, Cathay Pacific was the nicest lounge. They have made to order food during opening hours, and the food is legitimately restaurant quality. The mie goreng, soups and dumplings were so good. The restrooms and showers were also very nice and private. We will definitely return. read more

Service as expected is Excellent. Food choices for lounge is great. We like Asian food and hospitality. Even if we had access to other lounges, we will always choose Cathay Pacific lounge. This lounge is much smaller than the Hong Kong one. But it's still pretty good. read more

Awesome first lounge if you're in T3 at LHR, particularly for the dining room with the a la carte menu! We didn't come here on an empty stomach (foolish me!) so didn't order as much of the complimentary menu as we would have liked. I ordered the seafood tom yum soup which came with vermicelli noodles, while my partner ordered the dandan mien. Both were very tasty and we liked that it was a smaller serving so we could try other things in the menu. I liked the charsiubao as well to share, but would recommend ordering 1 dim sum basket per person since it only has 1 piece each. I loved how the hargow has thin outer skin, and everything tasted so fresh! We also ordered the coconut pandan rice pudding, but I didn't find the pandan or coconut flavor particularly noticeable. We were seated immediately in the dining room despite how crowded the first lounge was, and service was also quick after placing an order. Definitely a good stop to make even if you only have about 40 minutes before boarding! If in a rush, check out the tea selection and espresso machine as well as the small plates including the nice dessert selection in the fridge! Seating can be a bit crowded if there's a Cathay flight boarding/departing soon, but we found that it cleared out a lot when boarding started, so we felt like we had the lounge to ourselves before our connecting intra-EU BA flight. We didn't check out the showers, but I found the bathrooms very nice with tall ceilings, dark wood interior, and spacious stalls. 10/10 would come back again if transiting T3, it's too bad we rarely fly out to the UK as it's not our preferred destination or for layovers currently when routing read more

Definitely the best lounge I've ben to in Terminal 3 at Heathrow. Don't even bother with Qantas here (really underwhelming) and AMEX (lol you'll be on a waiting list) because this place is relaxing, well-designed and serves delicious food. You'll likely be impressed when you first walk in. The space is immediately striking in its subtle wood details and relaxing lounge apperance. As you start walking through you'll already know you've made the right choice on where to kill some of your time before the flight. Food and service here is quite nice. While not having as many options as say the Qantas First Lounges, all of the food offered is fresh and delicious. We had a small dim sum set with delicious dumplings and really savoury dan dan noodles. Everything was delicious and brought right to our seats by very pleasant staff. They also have a wide selection of spirits, wine, and snacks for you to choose from to make your stay comfier. Big fan. read more

Another excellent lounge from Cathay Pacific. If you're a One World Emerald why bother with American's Flagship Lounge (which doesn't have Flagship Dining yet) when you can experience the more luxurious and far less crowded Cathay Pacific First Class lounge and enjoy their full-service dining room. The first class lounge is down a small hallway on the right upon entering the main lounge area (business class is straight ahead). The lounge has a strong resemblance to Cathay's awesome Pier lounge at Hong Kong though sadly it lacks the spa area so no foot or back massages here. :( The seating is varied and comfortable and modern including comfortable chairs with ottomans with a great view of the tarmac and runway. There is a large open bar area where you can serve yourself and a small "pantry" area with refrigerated drinks and snacks and a small display of room temperature snacks. The highlight is the small full-service dining room where you can select from a variety of restaurant quality meals from an expansive menu. We were there for breakfast and found the English breakfast and waffles to be excellent. A variety of cocktails and other beverages are available as well (never too early for a mimosa). If you are eligible and flying out of Heathrow by all means try this lounge before visiting the far less luxurious AA or BA offerings. read more

Friendly staff upon checking in. They have a great selection of food and beverages. It was quiet, with sofa seats, recliners, and other types of chairs to lounge in. Their restrooms were clean. Great selection of drinks from a nice tea assortment, coffee, sodas, and water to beer, wine, champagne, and liquor. All self-serve. Our view was not the nicest, but what do you expect at an airport? This is a review for the Cathay Pacific Business Class Lounge which is located directly opposite of the First Class section. To be honest, reviews seem to hit on both key points that truly make this one of the best that Heathrow has and solidifies why you should be a Oneworld alliance member. CX has pulled the stops to open up this new lounge that mirrors its "Pier" product at HKG. For business class travelers and Oneworld Plats, we get an invitation to one of the most comfortable lounges in the series of Terminal 3. There are multiple sections to the lounge that I'll highlight: lovely private showers with individual toilets that allow for comfort just before a long flight, restaurant dining section with noodle bar (limited to wonton and dan dan mien) and a few dim sum options, open wine bar with self-service buffet, and private seating areas for you to watch the tarmac. I was a huge fan of how quiet the lounge was which allowed some much needed relaxing before our long flight back to the states. The noodle bar is a staple of CX lounges and I was thrilled that they had a mini version of that here in Heathrow. With the help of their hot foods bar, my friend was finally able to enjoy an English breakfast. Cathay continues to produce some amazing products in the aviation world and I feel lucky to be able to experience it even when I'm not transiting through HKG. I have been visiting this lounge regularly and so far it has not disappointed . The Food is very good, theres a decent selection and they always have a hot selection. Coffees are decent but from a machine (Quantas has a barista style one, just in case you are a coffee lover... You may be better served over there ). My husband tells me the alcohol selection is generous. Staff are very polite, friendly and efficient. The lounge has a relaxing atmosphere with a modern, masculine and moody decor which makes it quite comfortable abd welcoming. Free wifi for guests, showers and toilets are also available. A haven from the madness that is T3. You use the elevators to get to the lounge(s), and they direct you to the First or Business lounge depending on your status. If you blink you'll miss the entrance to the First lounge, so if that's your destination make sure that's where you're going (it's the smaller one!) The food selection is not as good as at the HKG lounges, but the dan-dan noodles are still stellar, and the staff is just as friendly. Note that the food is catered straight out of the business lounge - so if you want the "bar" experience, just wander over to the biz. lounge, get your fill, and then wander back. Much more importantly, unlike the AA flagship lounge, you've got plenty of windows that look out at, well, the airport (but that's better than looking out at a wall!). The lounge itself was relaxing with few guests when I visited. There was plenty of soft drinks, wine and champagne although the champagne has been downgraded due to cost cutting. The restaurant was another story. I was seated by someone who did not act like a host but maybe a server-substituting-for-a-host? I was never offered any water I had to ask for it. The restaurant was not busy when I was first seated, I counted four tables, however, the food was very slow coming out. I waited 25 minutes for my food but I noticed that other patrons who ordered from the Asian menu had their food come out quite quickly. The food was mediocre, the cod in my fish and chips was clearly frozen, not fresh, as were the shrimp in my pasta. All in all, It's still a nice lounge but certainly pales in comparison to The Pier and The Wing in Hong Kong. read more

The Cathay Pacific Lounge at T3 at LHR is one of the worlds best kept secrets. With four available OneWorld lounges, people tend to crowd the AA or BA lounges. I checked out the new Qantas Lounge, which was quite nice, but this place has them all beat. For example, it is 11:30am right now on Saturday, and I'm currently the only person in here. There are all kinds of options, from 1st class lounge full service restaurant, business class fast casual noodle bar, the buffet usually has some kind of curry, then there's the bar and plenty of comfy seating with views of the runway. It's nice to have a sanctuary away from the hordes of people who always frequent Heathrow, but comparatively there are other much nicer first class lounges. That said, the main issue here is size... it's a small lounge, but very nicely furnished and comfortable. It wasn't crowded when I was there, but definitely couldn't handle more than 2 flights well. There are lounge chairs throughout, and several work desks. Staff is very friendly, as is always the case. As always, there is a self-serve refreshment counter, the highlights of which are steamed dim sum and an automatic cappuccino machine. Some negatives though, besides size: - No WiFi available. - The dim sum should be better for a first lounge. - The hot "noodles" really is just Cup O Noodle served in a bowl... you can taste it. It was a nice lounge with a made to order noodle and dim sum bar. We thought the wonton noodle soup was quite well done for a lounge. The broth was aromatic and gingery, the wontons were well seasoned and the noodles were nicely cooked. The dan dan noodles were a strong pass for me. It was drowned in a Chinese sesame sauce. Not at all what dan dan noodles are supposed to be like. The dim sum items (3-4 in a steamer) were mostly dry and underwhelming except for the pork bun. Next time I'll order the wonton noodle soup only. Clean and spacious bathrooms and shower. read more

Hands down the best oneworld First lounge at LHR, dont even bother with the other First options in Terminal 3 (BA Galleries First or AA Flagship), Cathay absolutely trumps both. Dim sum is very decent (which actually comes from the adjoining CX Business Lounge), however I find the a-la-carte options in the First lounge to be a little disappointing which is why ive given this a 4 star and not a 5. I was only here for a short time because I just wanted to check this place out, the only other Cathay Pacific lounge I have being at was the Wing in HKG (which was AWESOME by the way). I wasn't even flying Cathay but status has its privileges, I was welcomed by a friendly attendant, since there was no Cathay Pacific flight for another 4 hours it was empty, no hot/cold food for self serve, but the bar was stocked. It wasn't top self but hey it is better than the stuff they had over in the Admirals Club. But no is lost for food, there are 3 selections of made to order noodles you can order. Dan-dan noodles, wonton noodles and I forgot the other one. I had to get me a wonton noodles, and it was really serviceable, not huge it was one noodle and like 4 wontons, more like a snack sized serving for me. Every time I use this lounge, it reminds me of the KLM Lounge in AMS .. except that every time I use this lounge, I've had most of the space to myself. This lounge has none of the frills like the Virgin Atlantic Club House in the same terminal. This lounge provides the basics and lots of free space. I've seen the strangest retro-diner semi-circular cube seating in this lounge. These are red, and probably the most uncomfortable spaces I've gotten in and out of. The food bar is like a regular Hilton breakfast, with the same cereal brands, baked goods and fruit. I've mostly been here around breakfast time, so maybe this limits my experience. The wine, spirits and beer selection is average and comparable to the KLM Lounge in AMS. Maybe its me but the espresso machine here spews out some outrageously fantastic coffee. All in all .. this place is okay, but I would still prefer the Virgin Atlantic Club House or the BA lounge next door. read more
