I can't believe I paid to sit in here. We had a longish layover in Heathrow, and we're not quite fancy enough to be qualified for the BA lounge. So we opted for Plaza Premium in hopes of a quiet place between flight It's ... definitely a place to sit. There are chairs here. There's food. How you can make Mac n cheese taste like oniony slime is a mystery. There's like three ingredients to Mac and Cheese and onions is not one of them. Even in fancy mac. Panko, yes. Onions? No. There's waaaaayyy too many people here. You have to crawl around people to get anywhere. There's bathrooms, but lines to use them. There's also screaming kids. I'm not a lounge expert or anything, but I feel like maybe if a kid (not talking baby here. More late toddler) is screaming outside the lounge, the staff might ask the party to cool off before coming in and leaving a sonic trail of chaos inside? I dunno ... I've been up for 20 hours now. So I'm throwing two stars for now. Probably should be one but I'm the kind of tired that makes me question my overall perception of reality.

A good place to come before my early morning flight. For breakfast they had yogurt, bread, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, and mini croissants and pain au chocolat. There is also tea, coffee, infused water (two flavors, which was a nice touch), juice, soda, and alcoholic beverages. The food was fine although I was disappointed by the sausages. The staff was courteous and cleared things quickly. They do have showers as well as restrooms. It would have been great if they had more plugs and outlets. Also I found the fact that they had bread but no toaster a bit odd. Overall, adequate. About the same as the Aspire Lounge but with restrooms.

Low end of the culinary spectrum as far as lounge food goes

Food is not good and coffee tastes like water. But at least this lounge has restrooms unlike the Aspire lounge.

Definitely the worst lounge I've been in hands down. It's dirty old and no one cares bout keeping it clean. Service was sub par. Good just okay. Half the coffee machines weren't working. The selection for breakfast was basic. Not worth the 47 pounds If your a Capital Venture or Amex member it's a option if you want free drinks

Cool lounge! Asian ramen station. Fruit Station. Lots of sandwiches. Lots of drinks to choose from. Good seething selection for various use cases.

This beyond terrible, Had to wait in long line cause they are selling tickets to anyone who is willing to pay, inside there was no chairs ... if this place max is 100 , there were 200 people inside and still selling tickets... Food was awful, like cheap 10$ buffets except this one only had 6 items compared to 20+ in the 10$ buffets You couldn't even walk around cause too many people standing and kids screaming..and lots of people who bought tickets complaining to employees what is the point of buying tickets if there no where to seat them I had to leave after 10 minutes and site outside in public area Was much better place

They seriously overbook and can't find seats. The worst lounge I have been to. Way too many kids running around.

Review Highlights - Plaza Premium Lounge

Honestly, the main reason I liked it so much is because it's miles better than the other Priority Pass option in this terminal, the truly dreadful Aspire lounge.

Reason being relative to the amount of traffic this terminal gets, the lounge capacity is very limited. The waitlist can be up 45+ minutes and it's not guaranteed that everyone on the waitlist can enter before they need to board their flight. This time it appeared they were giving some priority to people who had to board sooner as long as I was willing to share a table with another customer. In this lounge the staff assign seats to each customer which isn't something you usually see, though made sense based on the small size. Since I had only about 15 minutes prior to boarding time I wasn't choosy about comfort, really just wanted to grab a quick breakfast prior to getting on the flight, so this was fine by me. There's a small bar with breakfast selection of the day being "English breakfast" items: scrambled eggs, baked beans, crispy bacon, sausage. They also had some fruit/veg juices, pancakes (via a nifty little pancake machine), a bar with limited alcoholic drinks, and regular coffee/tea options. Functional enough for a quick stop though less comfortable than some other international lounges in terms of space, but still better than many lounges in the US when comparing quality of food.

This lounge has the space as in a huge area, the relaxed vibe, the very comfortable chairs and sofas to make this the perfect stop and break when taking that 15-20 hour flight to Asia with the one stop in London. Well this stop is the best. The team here is outstanding. They have a greeter 30 feet outside the entrance. There have always been 3 staff members at the check in which is in seconds. Love the selection and top shelf beverage and wine variety. Really love the ice cream cart. Get a genuine and full English breakfast here. The handy QR codes make it so easy and convenient to order and instantly receive food, drinks and amenities right at one's seat. Enjoy the ultimate shopping experience as you jump on the " Reserve and Collect" computers to reserve and shop from any store or boutique at the airport. All this while checking out the sun teasing with a ten second appearance and the planes entering and exiting the gates a few hundred feet away The team here keeps the buffet stocked and picks up used plates in a jiffy. The sad part is leaving after settling into that beautiful LazyBoy armchair and hopping on the sometimes crowded elevator( excuse me lift) as the escalators going down are temporarily out. First Class all the way.

We didn't have a whole lot of time between connections to order from the QR menu which could have made this review higher. First of all, it's a modern looking lounge with great accommodations. I love that they have a row of private & clean restrooms that have their own sink and scented diffusers. They are very spacious with no unpleasant smells that I could detect despite it being a public restroom. It appeared to be very well-maintained. The coffee & tea bar was a huge highlight. It had French croissant pastries and Union Hand-Roasted Coffee. It was the best part of the lounge in my opinion. The views of the runway were also wonderful. We saw some very large jumbo planes taking off and landing from our comfy seats. It was a relaxing lounge. We were there at breakfast time. The breakfast bar had a good variety. It could have been better had the English muffins been toasted. I'm not sure why British Airways doesn't have toasters in their lounges. What's the point of having butter nearby? I tried to make a bacon roll out of it, and it just didn't work for me. My husband asked if there was any way to toast it, and they said no. So, they won't toast it for you. I did see other rolls there that may have been a better choice but I'd already placed the muffin on my plate. Other than that, it was an okay buffet for a British breakfast. I didn't see the ice cream cart that everyone talks about. That may be because it was too early for that. There's a good selection of alcohol as well. I have a feeling that ordering from the made-to-order menu is the way to go here, and especially if they have that Loch Fyne salmon that I had on the way back from Edinburgh. It was still a nice upgrade from the typical British Airways Lounge. Hopefully I can update this review again when we return.

It's a lounge for First British Airways customers located in Terminal 5 at London Heathrow. The most premium feature of our visit was being able to dine in the private pre-flight dining booths. This is basically a restaurant-type experience. The food (we ate breakfast) was good and the high partitions in the dining area gave a nice sense of privacy. The service was top-notch and this was the best part of visiting The Concorde Room. After eating, we camped out in the lounge for what was thought to be about an hour, but turned into 3 hours with multiple flight delays. Good news is that the lounge is nice and does offer some outdoor dining as well, so there was plenty of natural light, but the lounge could've benefited from more partitions and more privacy. The decor is fine, but lacked the elevation and sophistication of other first class lounge products. The part where The Concorde Room loses a star is in the bathrooms. They are rather small, gender-neutral restrooms with poor lighting and they really felt like something you would've seen in just a regular terminal. Nothing luxurious about the restrooms whatsoever. Overall, The Concorde Room definitely delivers in the dining realm, but loses its luxury focus in other aspects of its execution.

The long walk to the bus transfer between terminals is really what brings the rating down. It's always very crowded due to the fact that it's the primary terminal for British Airways. I corrected a mistake in my previous review of Terminal 3. The Fortnum & Mason shop is actually in Terminal 5. It's so easy to confuse the two after a long flight. Anyway, this particular location even has a bar in front of it where you can sip on champagne and nibble on canapés (if that's your thing). I just love to browse through the tea & biscuit section of the shop to see what's new. Sure, there are other great shops as well as food options on this side of the airport. I just love F&M tea! The British Airways Gallerie Club and First Lounges are above it. There's also an exclusive lounge called The Concorde Room that I'd love to try one day. So, I've read that British Airways will be starting a new direct route from Tampa to Heathrow (replacing Gatwick) towards the end of this year. I hope that this means it will arrive at BA's Terminal 5 hub. If so, then I'll be super grateful for the convenience of a smooth connection. If not, then I'll just be happy to have more connection possibilities to other countries. Either way, I'm thinking this is great for OneWorld travelers booking through American Airlines out of TPA. I'll update this review the next time we fly into this airport. Here's hoping for good vibes and good connections when passing through London.
