I worked with Jana for two years during my time in Chicago. She was such a source of light,…read morestrength, and stability during an otherwise challenging time in my life (and many others). I began working with her on the heels of a difficult break up, and she patiently helped me to find a path forward and regain my power. Within a couple months of our first session, the global pandemic hit and we moved from in person to video therapy -- the transition was seamless. I was single and living alone during that time, and Jana's empathy and support were a life line for me. She is kind, compassionate, and really takes the time to see and understand the full person. I still refer back to conversations we had and resources she gave me to navigate new challenges that I encounter in life. I am healthier today because of my time with Jana. When I started to consider a move away from the Chicago area, a major con on my list was that I could no longer work with Jana. I will be forever grateful to her for her time and heart. If you have the chance to work with her, cherish every moment. She's one of the best out there!

I stayed on with her when she graduated and was a hired as a clinician and saw her continuously until I moved out of the Chicagoland are. I wish I was still in Chicago because I would likely be seeing her to this day. She is kind, compassionate, understanding. She is a skilled therapist and I'm sure a great mentor to her colleagues. I am of a minority background of both race and religion and a lot of my struggles with anxiety were rooted in this. She really took her time to understand the nuances of my experiences, their social impact, and their impact on mental health. I have worked with about 10 therapists in my adult life and Jana is easily in the top 3 of my favorite and most skilled therapists to work with. If you are working with her--cherish your time together! If you are thinking of working with her--please take my recommendation in doing so. I have nothing but love and respect for Jana!

I now look at my life a lot differently after talking with him so many times. I am sad he moved away, but I am happy for him, and I am so glad I put in many hours of hard work with Michael. One of the things that sticks with me from our sessions is his gentle prodding to get me to understand and describe how I physically feel when talking about upsetting or uplifting emotional feelings. Where do I feel it? How does it feel. The words "bad" or "good" just weren't descriptive enough, and he encouraged me to more fully process my feelings. I really enjoyed this new take on therapy and it worked well for me in understanding my own feelings and telling others how I feel. This approach greatly improved my ability to communicate with people that are important to me. The tools I gained while working with him are priceless. It wasn't always easy, but I learned the most during the hard times. He was forever willing to give me and my wife another chance to connect emotionally and encouraged us to slow down and be open for each other. He is a talented therapist, and I have a feeling he helped a lot of other couples connect and communicate better than they ever had before.

From the first time we met, I felt very comfortable with Michael. Being newer to his profession, I was a little hesitant but my fears were unfounded and I would recommend him to anyone who really needs to slow down, and someone who is ready to get into some deeper work. Michael Glavin is a true resource. It's unfortunate that he is moving, and I wish him all the best. Anyone who's looking for a very centered, caring person, would be very comfortable with his skill set. I can't imagine how much more effective he will be as be develops his practice. Sincerely, RL

I'm honestly surprised by all of the positive reviews. My experiences were nearly all negative…read more My first appointment here was with Dr. Robin. My first impression of him was that he was incredibly awkward. Once I was in his office, he asked me for all of my contact info again, which seemed odd, and he was terse when I questioned why we were using my limited appointment time to re-enter all that info (painfully slowly, I might add) - turns out he was leaving the practice, and he used that info to contact me directly about a month later in hopes that I'd follow him to his new practice. When he finally asked why I was there, I explained my history and described my current Rx. Apropos of nothing, he suggested increasing my Rx dosage and adding a second medication. When I asked him why he was suggesting this, he offered an extremely off-puttingly vague answer along the lines of, "it might help." This went on in circles for at least three rounds as I grew increasingly frustrated and ultimately refused the changes. On my way out of the building, I ran into his next patient. I wouldn't normally do this, but I asked him if he had been seeing the doctor for a while and if he liked him, and he confirmed my impression that the doctor was awkward and not so great - he told me that he kept coming back because he just needed his ADHD meds refilled, and it was easier than finding a new doctor. My insurance company than raised a fuss over my Rx despite nothing having changed other than the prescribing doctor. The pharmacy sent an authorization request to the doctor, and I must have made half a dozen calls over many days before UB&B figured out what to do and finally completed the requested authorization - this is routine stuff, so I don't understand what the problem was. Thankfully my pharmacy gave me free meds for a few days to hold me over. Fast forward to Dr. Robin leaving this practice right after my intake. They brought it a new doctor who seemed promising based on her profile. I made an appointment, met with her, thought she was wonderful, and was thrilled. So what was the problem? Apparently the practice messed up the paperwork and the new doctor was not in-network with my insurance provider as I was originally promised. This caused my bill to be significantly higher. I asked if they would waive some or all of the extra amount, given that it was their mistake, AND THEY WOULDN'T BUDGE AN INCH. I've worked in multiple doctor's offices, so I know that there is always some leeway on these matters, so I'm disgusted that they would do this to their patients.
