My rating is for the new location downtown specifically, not the Lincoln location or any shipping aspect as many of the other reviews have entailed. When I visited the Lincoln location on the night they would be opening the downtown location, there were a few items, but really not a lot. However, since they were working on moving over, that made sense and was to be expected. Downtown there is a nice open space where they had live music, and would make great space for extra inventory and speakers depending on the time of year. They had a nice variety of items to choose from, much of which was locally made. My only minor criticism is that there were a bit more general secular items than I would have expected (a shelf-full, whereas I would have expected all religious items). Most of those items were locally made also, so that was at least nice, but I just personally think a religious store should focus on religious items. Besides that, they had several items I had not see before, and I was impressed with the artwork selection and prices, especially with again, much of this being locally handmade. A great bonus is that they process payment with Shop, so to my surprise, I got a little cash back on Shop for making my purchase! read more

I have done business with this company for 15 years. My recent, order, however, will be my last. I placed an order on May 16th. My credit card was charged immediately. It has been 3 weeks, and they have not shipped my order and are refusing to provide any information about it. I have contacted them by email 3 times. If you check their website, you will notice it says that, pretty much, they have better things to do than provide customer service, so you should just sit back and wait and they'll get around to you when it is convenient for them. Let THAT be your warning of what this company has become. One of the items I ordered was a gift for an event that took place a week ago. My advice, go to Amazon. Catholic to the Max has plenty of time to fill my inbox with ads, but no time to respond to requests for information about the order I already placed. If I could give this business negative stars, I would. On one occasion, I ordered two laminated posters. When the order arrived, they were filled with air bubbles and wrinkles. I had to re-order, and because the company took so long to respond, we could not use them for the season in which they were intended. Wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt, I placed another order for desk plaques to be used in my parish's catechism classrooms. The first order arrived nicely in individual boxes. The second order, which I placed in mid-September of this year, was poorly done and arrived six weeks after I made the order. The image of Our Lady on the plaques was severely scratched and had some sort of debris on the bridge of her nose. I advised Karen, the customer service manager by e-mail, and I attached images of the damaged item that was still in its shrink wrap. I asked for a replacement, and I had to give the damaged item to a parishioner at a Mass that evening. I was so embarrassed about the delivery time and the condition of the plaque. Imagine just throwing the image of Our Lady in a flimsy envelope. Karen said the item would be replaced but weeks went by again with no follow up. Finally, I inquired by e-mail and left a voice mail with no reply. Luckily, I paid using PayPal, and what do you know . . . . The company finally found its voice and responded. The item arrived on Dec. 16th. Once again it arrived in a flimsy envelope, and the plaque was merely in shrink wrap that was torn. The envelope too was torn, but somehow the image of the Blessed Mother was intact. I suppose divine intervention was in play. Certainly, there was no care or love put into making and sending the plaque. In total, a simple order took three months to fill. I received either no response from "Catholic to the Max" also DBA Mark Nelson Fine Art & Gifts." Their customer service--when provided at all--is rude and flippant. Their quality control is hit-and-miss, and their responsiveness is apparent only when a payment processor such as PayPal forces them to move. read more

Nice people! I bought two "I LOVE POPE FRANCIS" tshirts online. Before even wearing one of the shirts the lettering came off in the wash. I ordered two boxes of Christmas cards on November 30. I received an email on Dec 1 that my order was ready to be shipped. After 7 days I sent an email inquiry if my order had been shipped and asked the company to respond. They did not. Two days later I inquired again. No response. Next day received an email the order had shipped. As someone who worked in retail and banking, this was poor customer service. I would not do business with this company again.
