We've passed this restaurant many times and decided to give it a try. We arrived at noon and were able to get a table outside. The majority of the tables are outside with a few tables and full bar inside. They stop serving breakfast at 11am so we missed that. They have a large menu of sandwiches, salads, burgers, and wraps which are served with fries or chips. We tried the crabcake appetizer and the Brie chicken wrap. We split a slice of key lime pie for dessert which was creamy. Everything was fine. They have Pepsi products. There is a parking lot. Other people came in while we were there but no one had to wait for a table. With so many options in the area, we have checked this one off the list and will try another place in the future. read more

Have gone to Cathy's many times. Food is ok service good. Went for breakfast today. French toast stale as if it was frozen beforehand. Omelette dry and bacon overdone, almost black and obviously reheated over and over. Asked for new bacon and was given the exact bacon that was served to us the first time. Waitress put on the table and said "I told him not to overdo it". She really didn't care. Will not be going back. read more

Cathy's is a very casual little restaurant located at the end of the retail strip, next to Capt. Charlie's Reef Grill. I have not had their breakfast, but I've had lunch here a few times over the years. they've got a small area of indoor seating as well as covered outdoor seating on the deck in front of the restaurant. I placed a pick up order today and enjoyed a delicious blackened dolphin Cesar salad wrap. The fish was seasoned nicely and not overcooked. It paired very well with the Caesar salad/dressing inside the wrap. It's certainly a dish I would recommend. Opted for coleslaw instead of fries as I was taking out (fries don't ever seem to travel well). The coleslaw is Mayo-based and has some red cabbage in it. I've eaten at the restaurant next door quite a few times and always wanted to try Cathy's, but for some reason or another I couldn't. Well I swung in for lunch and I will definitely be back. Small place with limited seating, but the atmosphere is great with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and very attentive, even when every seat in the place is taken. I really wanted to like this place. I enjoy the small, hole in the wall atmosphere. It's a cute little spot near the beach that has a decent lunch crowd. However the food left a lot to be desired. The dolphin Caesar wrap was inedible. SO fishy and salty. I actually took one bite and didn't finish. The fries are very thin and they were pretty undercooked. No seasoning on the fries. Food- took ages and wasn't good. My ham quesadilla was palatable, it's deli sliced ham for anyone who might care. But my fiancées dish was atrocious. His over medium eggs were ridiculously watery, like he cut into them and a ton of water oozed out, he had to mop up his dish with a napkin. The (I think $4) side of corned beef hash was a laughably minuscule amount, and we each got the potato soufflé, both came out suuuper late, like when we were pretty much done, and mine was burnt. I would have been embarrassed to serve one that was charred on top, next to another one that was simply golden brown. I mean, they could've even picked the burnt stuff off? Not a whole lot of pride here. Service wasn't great either, we were there for far too long, for a variety of reasons but we even waited a while for a to go order that wasn't even put in, which we scrapped once we found that out. This is a nice little spot near the beach for what it is. There is a lot of fly's on the patio near your food and you may get bit like my girlfriend did unfortunately. The food is average but that's ok we expected that. Kinda reminds me of hospital cafeteria food. I think the breakfast options may be better than the lunch options read more

I am so sad because I wanted to love this place. I enjoy supporting local places like this and everyone seems to love it! It's a great location and the menu has so many options. Sadly, our experience was not great. Perhaps it was an off day for them but there were no other patrons in the restaurant. The food still took 25 minutes to be ready, but we assumed it would be really fresh! To our dismay, both lunches were pretty awful. The chicken was so rubbery and chewy in both the taco and the chicken cheesesteak. The chicken cheesesteak was flavorless and still expensive. I pulled the chicken off and just ate the bread. The tacos completely fell apart after the first bite of the hard shell. The same issue with the chewy chicken applied here. I would not recommend this place. I've lived in Jupiter for many years but somehow never noticed this little restaurant. It's right by reef grill, the more popular local spot with fresh fish. It looked very appealing with a casual confidence and outdoor seating. I passed it then turned around for a double take. I walked in not knowing what to expect. I was greeted at the door by very friendly servers. It was tiny with only a handful of tables and a counter top bar. You could tell the staff knew their customers. I ordered a cup of chili with a BLT. The chili was delicious topped with cheese, onions and sour cream. I only wanted a taste but it was so good I had to finish it. This left me only able to eat half of my bacon filled sandwich. Both were terrific. I felt very welcomed and will be returning soon. I highly recommend this local dining gem. read more

Laid back mom and pop hole-in-the-wall place that's right around the back corner of Reef Grill Juno. Decided to grab a bite here since Reef Grill was closed and French Connection looked happening. Thought this place offered French food from the name but it's basically a local neighborhood burger, sandwich, and wrap joint with beach-related decor on the walls. We had a fish wrap and hot dog with fries here and both were decent but nothing too memorable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I've been coming to Cathy's for 2 years now and can say it never disappoints. The staff is always attentive & usually sit on the outside deck. They recently built a bench & table right outside the patio deck which is their only pet friendly spot & is first come first serve. My Australian Shepard has never loved me more on Sunday mornings! I've been coming to Cathys for years, and always overlooked the run down feel of the place to get my favorite crunchy grouper sandwich. Over the years I have sometimes ventured out of my comfort zone and gotten a chowder or appetizer, but there has never been anything that was quite as delicious as the grouper sandwich and for the $12.99 price, it was a decent deal. However, with the price of grouper being so expensive, they have now switched to a white fish. I completely understand the business decision, but they kept the price at $12.99 which to me seems expensive when Dune Dog serves a similar but more delicious white fish sandwich for more than $5 less. Cathy's Beach Connection is the kind of place that typifies local Florida. There's a big deck and the bathrooms are outside, so if you just came from the beach you can cleanup without tracking sand inside. It's small so go at odd times. The food is surprisingly sophisticated and upscale. You'll even find escargot on the appetizer menu. Most of their business is breakfast and lunch, but they do serve dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. For lunch I went with the basic sliders and fries, which came with lettuce, tomato and onion. My only ding on the sliders is that to really be considered sliders the onions should be caramelized. Outside that tiny infraction they were excellent, so I stopped short of reporting them to the International Slider Standards Committee. The portions are big, the prices are reasonable and the beer is ice cold, another Florida tradition. If you want to hang out at a true beach burger joint, stop by Cathy's Beach Connection and pull up a stool. read more

The service was terrible; when I asked with the fish of the day was the lady said "mild Atlantic fish", so I said "oh, which kind?", and she replied, rudely, "it's just called that"... What kind of South Florida restaurant doesn't even know what their fish of the day is... This is not a real restaurant, and the seating area outside smells like a garbage dump, even though it's a cold day out. We ended up ordering hotdogs out of the fear of getting unknown fish, and the hotdogs were pretty gross. I expected something like what Dune Dog Café offers. There wasn't even anybody here, even though we came at lunchtime on a Saturday during season... This place will likely be gone soon, and hopefully replaced by something better. read more

I've had better. Wanted to like this as they're local but just not feeling it. We've eaten there a number of times, food is never consistent. Fries are always awful, stopped ordering them. They can never get order right - missing extra sauce that was requested, always have to remind them. One time they missed an entire meal ordered and we had to wait for the food. By the time we got the missed meal the other meals were cold. Wouldn't redo the others. Employees dress like they're doing housework and not working in a restaurant. Brownies are way to 'wet' - if they sit too long in the plastic they wrap them in they can get moldy....not good for your health. Their 'customer service skills' need a bit of adjustment too.
