It was really expensive and traumatizing to fly my cats here from Los Angeles and I certainly could not fly them back and forth over the holidays, so I was faced with finding a pet sitting service that was affordable and trust worthy. I was stressed out about the whole ordeal until I came across Cats Pyjamas. I contacted them and set up a "meet & greet" before booking them and to my surprise it was a huge relief! There was some paperwork involved which I found to be thorough and thoughtful. It literally covers everything and it's nice to know that they want the best for your pet(S) while your away. Raisa and Mitch are friendly and respectful. I walked them through feeding routines, toys, etc. and they took notes! I had no hesitation handing over the keys to my place and care of my cats. They emailed me with photos, videos and everything my cats were up to while I was away. I had no doubt that upon my return everything would be as I left it...and of course it was! I hired her for the first time when I went on a trip to Montreal for a few days and she definitely put my mind at ease with the amount of detail she put into ensuring both OJ and myself feel comfortable. She gave me an update after every visit and even took pics for me. She also didn't make any decisions without running it by me first. OJ didn't need insulin for one of the visits and she confirmed with me first before making any decisions. If that were someone else, they probably would have given him insulin anyway even if his sugar was too low, which would have endangered his life. She's simply amazing! And she cares! She knows what she's doing and her attention to detail is something that anyone with a cat with special needs requires. No need to worry because she knows what she's doing! Then during our face-to-face meeting I knew I had found the perfect walker in which I could entrust the care and safety to for my Beajou. As a person Jeremy is kind, caring, personable, polite, intelligent, very punctual with an extremely pleasant disposition. Jeremy took his time, approached Beajou on her level while kneeling patiently, called her name and waited for Beajou to acquaint herself with him. I was thrilled when she came to Jeremy immediately and was completely comfortable with him stroking her back while we continued to talk. Now every morning from the moment I say Jeremy's name my Beajou sits up and with excitement stares at the front door anxious for his arrival. Here's the biggest surprise, I no longer have to chase Beajou around the apartment to put on her harness!! Because she knows Jeremy is coming and it's time to walk with her new friends, Beajou sits perfectly still and with no struggle at all I put on the harness and she's more than ready for her walk. I had a session with Michelle who did an amazing job with my bichon frise. My dog's round hair cut came out perfectly and we didn't have to do any touchups at home ourselves (my family has a very keen eye for my dog's haircut). My dog has a lot of allergies so I told them not to give her any treats. You are able to bring your own treats for them to give your dog which I'll do next time. They do the intake and payment outside and I love the report card they give you at the end. Sometimes grooming is like a black hole and you wonder how it went so I thought the report card is an adorable and nice touch. I paid around $110-120 before tip which included an add on for hypoallergenic shampoo. I thought this was really reasonable especially since they take care of your dog for around 5 hours so it's essentially grooming and daycare together.

I stayed around to watch how the groomer dealt with him just because I half-expected to end up aborting the mission. Long story short, Benji loved the experience and only cried during the hair-drying part. After it was all done and we were out walking around the city, we have never had so many compliments on his appearance. My dog is on a lot of medication and I know I can leave her with Ellen for extended periods and she will be taken care of. They are the only ones my dog trusts to groom her, even more then me!
