I stopped by Catty Corner Cafe on Friday, when I spent a few hours exploring Leesburg. I had a good time! When you walk in downstairs, the friendly staff explain how the cat cafe works, get you a cookie (you get one with the cost of your visit), and have you sign a waiver. (They also have a self-service are where you can make a few different beverages.) You can visit for as little as a half hour, but each subsequent half hour costs less than the first half hour. I only had a half hour to spend, which was the perfect amount of time for me. As soon as I was all paid up, I wandered up to the second floor, where the cats are. There were several cats (at least 10), and they're all up for adoption (there was a staff member there who could you tell you each cat's name and other information). I had bought a Churu downstairs and had no qualms about bribing the cats to be my friends. I played and pet several of them; I fell in love with Russell, a Ginger and a chonk, and Peach, a playful kitten. Whether you just want to play with some cats (it helps with their socialization) or are looking to adopt a cat, cat cafes can be a lot of fun. I came here to celebrate my daughters birthday. Making a reservation was very easy - I emailed and they responded within the hour. Walk-in's are welcome, but I wanted to ensure we could come at the time we wanted. Parking was a but limited, but available early when they opened. The shop owner was so kind and was very thorough. She was hospitable and walked us upstairs to the cat room, introducing us to the cats and telling us about each of their personalities. The cats are all rescues looking for a forever home. What a great way to introduce them to people! There were tons of toys to use to interact and play with the cats. There was a basket of combs and some really enjoyed being brushed. They had several bowls of food and water and were very well take care of. The warm cookie was delish and tea and coffee were also available. Upon leaving there are lint rollers available because cat hair is inevitable; however, the cat area was very clean and tidy! The air purifiers helped, especially because the doors couldn't be opened in the winter. There is a screened in balcony I assume can be used in better weather. My daughter loved this place and wants to go back! While the experience was a bit pricey, I know it's going toward a good cause. read more

I had a wonderful first experience at this cat café! My friend and I decided to walk in while we were walking around downtown Leesburg. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who explained how the facility works. It's $25 per person for an hour session a lounge visit, which includes a warm freshly baked cookie and a self-serve beverage. The cafe is on the first floor when you first walk in to check-in and the lounge is upstairs where the cats are housed. We decided to get our cookie and drinks on our way out so we headed upstairs where we were greeted at the door of the lounge to the sweetest, friendliest cats! The space was well-maintained, clean, cozy and decorated cute! It did not smell and we could tell the staff takes really good care of the cats and their living area to ensure they feel clean, safe, and comfortable. All of their cats at the café are available for adoption through their rescue partner Last Chance Animal Rescue. Such a great way to meet and interact with the kitties (and fall in love with all of them!) before deciding if you mesh with one and are interested in adopting. They also have a book of information on adoption details and a bulletin board that features the cats in a humorous way so you can get to know them! We've had two birthday parties here as my daughter loves it. We have cats of our own but not this many. For birthdays, you get an hour upstairs with the cats and an hour in the cafe. The staff is super nice, helps downstairs with the cake, decorating, etc. They water and lemonade for the kids and have coffee to purchase. There's a neat gift shop setup in the entrance way. Upstairs has plenty of seating. There's toys available to play with the cats. Almost all are friendly and playful. If you love cats and coffee this is the spot. read more

Leesburg's first cat cafe is an absolute delight! Highly recommend making a reservation online (cattycornercafe.com). One hour reservations are $24 per person which includes a warm cookie and self-served drink at the beverage station by the entryway. The cafe and check-in area is on the first floor; upstairs is where you will find the purr-ecious cat haven. Three green flags I look forward to on my visits: #1: While the well-maintained space is aesthetically pleasing, their primary focus is most importantly on the cats and their well-being. A majority of the cats were sweet, trusting, and comfortable in their cozy environment. #2: They also have a humorous bulletin board featuring the nice and naughty cats of the week as well as a binder full of helpful information on the current cats and adoption details, located on the coffee table upstairs. #3: The friendly team works hard and cares deeply about their four-legged residents. They are knowledgeable, happy to answer any questions about the cats. As an added bonus, a myriad of fun cat-themed trinkets by the cafe area make lasting gifts and fun souvenirs. Very disappointed. I drove 45 minutes to this cat cafe after calling the day before to confirm their hours. I was told they were open until 6 PM, and even made an appointment--which they confirmed. When I showed up, they were closed by 4 PM with no warning or notice. I wasn't contacted about the early closure, and it completely wasted my time and gas. This kind of lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable. I was really looking forward to this visit and left feeling super frustrated. read more

Went here on a random Sunday and it was lovely. They give you cookies when you book, and those were delicious. Also there was cute hello kitty merch you could purchase! The cat area was very clean and cute and had lots of toys so you could play with the cats. Plenty of beds for the cats, plenty of cat trees and climbing spots. The cats seemed happy. I'll start with the positives, really nice customer service, you get free coffee, lemonade and freshly baked cookies as you check in which is wonderful. The cafe is upstairs, very clean, and the cats are very friendly for the most part except the house cat who's an adorable ball of fluff great Coone and very moody. There was a girl there asking if anyone needs help and I really liked that aspect. Now for the bad, they overcrowd that place which is tiny, you can have a reservation and there doesn't seem to be a limit to how many people can come in at once! For a tiny space when we visited with a reservation (party of 4) there was also a party of 7 (originally 1p but 3 cancelled) and 4 other folks crammed in 1 place trying to pretty much get time with cats. A bunch of teens kept taking over all the cats being a party of 7, so my kids and another couple hardly got time with most cats as there's try to take up 2 cats at once bringing them treats. If they manage that better, limiting how many persons are allowed at once so everyone has an enjoyable time and get to play with all the cats that would make this place perfect read more

The cats were awesome and so cute! When we walked in we were told we couldn't pay for an hour because they were closing in 45 mins, which was fine! As we were leaving we were told we had to pay extra because we were there for over an hour, and that they work on an honor system so we were supposed to clock ourselves which we were not informed. I gave 3 stars because it not a cafe place as expected. I actually expect to drink a cup of cake and have some snacks. But you actually could only have bottled water, and fast coffee. I don't even see the cookies then I just left. It is just a place to rescue cats. Simply think you are donating money to help cats survive. Cats are cute though. Seriously don't waste your money. $22 for an hour with the cats seemed reasonable at first because it came with a drink and a cookie. The cookies were very clearly old and just from a generic cookie dough. The drinks were Minute Maid lemonade and waiting room coffee, and you're only allowed one drink. When I got up to the room, it's an awkward silent room with cats who very clearly don't want to be there. Half the cats were sleeping so deeply they seemed to be sedated (not responsive AT ALL) and the other half were mean. I paid $22 to be attacked by a cat, drink waiting room refreshments, and sit in a very awkward room. Not sure where the money is going since they're feeding the cats a very cheap canned cat food with garbage ingredients. Definitely never gonna go back, and will tell everyone not to waste their time. read more

Catty Corner is a great place to spend an hour. The cats are very cute and sweet, the space is very comfortable and good for all ages. There is a bit of a boutique on the first floor where you can purchase cat themed items. The coffee tea and lemonade are located in the boutique nook as well. The owner is on site and can tell you anything you want to know about the cats. She partners with Last Chance, who rescues the cats from kill shelters. Another great feature, memberships are available, which make the visits even more cost effective. read more

I was a bit disappointed with this location. Made an appointment to come in, and paid for a full hour, only to leave after a half hour. The girl at the desk was incredibly kind - I think she was just super overwhelmed. We got our cookies, but never got our drinks. Went upstairs to see the cats and there was WAY too many people up there. There was at least 15 of us in this room and it is not that big to have that many people up there. Each person was stepping over each other/the cats looked super fed up. Some of the cats I think are overstimulated by how many people are up there at a time, that they were hissing at you if you pet them or hiding. It was super stuffy and smelt very bad. I understand that it is a cat cafe, but I do not wish to drink or eat my cookies in a room that smells like a liter box. Some cats look a bit overfed/to where some are obese. One cat looked like it was having issues with it's eyes/some eye goo. This place has potential of being really nice but it felt more like a pet store than an actual cat cafe. read more
