Not a coffee expert just love good coffee. I recently got into making espresso at home. Results have been ok with store bought espresso coffee. The typical lavaza, San Francisco roasters, starbucks. I thought maybe my cheapish grinder and espresso machine was holding me back but found LoCo beans. OH MY Goodness! Got a bag of espresso grande. (Btw: lock box makes it so convenient to my schedule) using my cheapo grinder and machine I pulled the creamiest, chocolaty double shot! Lots of crema, rich. Pulled 2 more double shots and each came out better than any starbucks or loco coffee shops (except king street RIP). So i am a little wired but the smile has not left my face. The roaster and beans are more important than equipment for sure! And the price.....biggest bargain in coffee around. read more

I was in Leesburg on a business trip for over a month, and LoCo beans was about the only thing that got me through it! What an amazing little spot. Every bag of beans I tried was absolutely phenomenal. The roasters could not be more friendly. When it was raining they invited me into the silo and I got a little education about their beans. I could not recommend this place enough! Thanks to Paul and Chau for getting me through a month of work away from home. For anyone wondering, I tried the house blend, the Brazilian, the Ethiopian, and their new Colombian. All were fantastic but far and away, the Ethiopian and Colombian were my favorite. Incredibly well roasted beans. Complex, sweet, and full of incredible flavor. Can't wait to make it back to Leesburg and get a few more bags! read more

Great stuff. I'd like to try more of what they offer, but the +3db Blend is so good it is tough to stray. For a "dark" roast, you get the rich taste, but it is not even close to burnt like you get with some mass produced beans. Unless I forget to get over there when they are open, I doubt I'll be buying many store bought beans anymore. Only downside is that shopping center gets so crowded in the evenings from Fireworks and the other restaurants that it can be tough to find a place to stash your car while you grab some beans. read more

Chau and Paul know coffee. I have been drinking coffee since birth not since starbuks. I know good quality . Their beans are fresh..your coffee will be maximum 10 days old if that. I always get their yirgacheffe bean. Makes a great pour over. When I am lazy and do a drip coffee I go with their colombian. I've only just gotten into freshly roasted coffee. If these guys are the norm, I'm all in. Went to their kiosk on a frigid Tuesday night and was recommended their house blend... delicious! Two weeks later I needed a refill, so I went online and ordered a bag of their Yirgacheffe beans late at night - it was ready for pickup less than 12 hours later. Tasted phenomenal as well! If you live anywhere near Leesburg and like coffee at all, these are your guys. read more

AMAZING coffee! I bought a bag of the house coffee and hid it so my roommates don't drink it without me! Keep in mind, they have limited hours but totally worth planning a trip to swing by and pick up a few bags. They can grind the coffee for you OR you can take home the whole beans and grind at home (ideal). read more

Wanted to try the difference between fresh roast and store bought beans. So glad I stopped. The owner brought my family into his small kiosk and gave us a great 10 minute tour of the place, which was really cool. I left there much smarter about coffee and I am a new customer. Love it! I finally bought a bag of their fresh roasted coffee beans after smelling the yummy aroma of roasting coffee for the last couple of months as I been coming and going from Flow Yoga. I asked for the strongest blend and was referred to the +3dB blend (love the engineering nerd humor.) I came home and brewed a pot to eat with a slice of fresh pie from nearby Mom's Apple Pie, and the coffee lived up to my expectations. Bold, deep and tasty without being burnt. I will definitely come back to try other blends like the Kona (which they said they source directly from Hawaii.) At $10 a bag, their prices are very reasonable for making great beans and being local. I only wish they sold coffee by the cup for those days you are just too lazy to brew, but I understand they're not operating as a coffee shop and instead selling to local restaurants/shops. read more

I am enjoying the LoCo coffee very much. The roasts are perfect for my tastes and avoid the burnt overtones that seem so prevalent at other places. The proprietors are very friendly and engaging, and have helpful advice on grinding, storing, and choosing your coffee. The freshness really makes a difference in the cup! I'm hooked, these guys sell some truly amazing coffee at roughly the same price as the Starbucks coffee available in supermarkets (10$/12 oz.). Tastewise, though, there's no comparison: this stuff blows Starbucks (Charbucks, more like) out of the water. read more
