Free parking at the back and a homey atmosphere with a variety of seating. They offer a selection of house made muffins and sandwiches as well as an oatmeal bar - the real star here is the coffee. Seasonal flavors as well as the standards and the house specialty (my favorite) the Valencian which is mocha and orange. All coffee syrups are house made as is their cashew milk which is so creamy and delicious it beats out regular dairy for me. Service is friendly and fast and the ambiance is homey and peaceful. Popped after hitting all four corners of the square. I loved everything I ordered. I went with an iced strawberry latte and the chocolate chip banana cookie. I live in Baltimore, I will drive back for that cookie alone!!! The cookie was delicious and cooked just the way I like. There was a complete balance between the chocolate and banana. After a weekend camping with fourteen girls, a pit stop at Doppio Bunny was much needed! The Valencian latte (dark chocolate mocha with bits of valencian oranges on top) is my absolute favorite but all of their drink options are absolutely tops. I was driving with a few girls and they were obsessed with the cute decor, snack options (Uglies chips for the win), and the fact that they could sit down with a game of chess. Bathrooms are clean and the staff is just lovely. This is truly my favorite coffee shop of all time. read more

Mrs. K. demanded "Coffee. Soon!" and so I asked Yelp for coffee along our route. It sent us to Doppio Bunny. Easy enough to parallel park along the street nearby and climb the three steps for the front entrance. I do not know if they have a ramp around back. After browsing for a minute, we ordered. A latte for Mrs. K. and a self-serve drip for me. We also enjoyed a muffin to go with it. Mrs. K. replied, "One of the top three lattees I've ever had in my life. Creamy. Delicious." This is a BUSY place! If you love to support great family-run businesses, this is the coffee house for you! It's in downtown Purcellville. They are busy but the line moves quickly. If you want a specific seat, arrive early. We visited on a Friday in mid-March at 9:00 and it was standing room only. This is a testament to their great service and coffee. They sell muffins and cookies but we didn't try any. They also have local artisan hand-made gifts (soaps, jewelry, lotions) and even some re-sale clothing which are great if you're looking for something last minute. One of their best features is their "buy a cup of coffee for someone else" board. This allows folks to pay for a future cup of coffee for someone in need. As the buyer, you're given a coffee sleeve to decorate and pin up on their "free cup" board. This allows guests to discreetly take a sleeve to the counter and get their cup. Unfortunately, I did see a political statement on one of the sleeves which made me sad. read more

Back again this morning. I really want to like this place, but I can't. I drink tea, and their English Breakfast is made from concentrate instead of a tea bag or pour over -- completely bland. My annoyance from a couple of years ago continues: The music is way too loud to be able to have a conversation or concentrate on a book or work. read more

This coffee shop is located near the start of many of our bike rides. I stopped by this morning just to grab a sweet treat. They have a baked goods case at the counter. After you pay, it's self serve, which I liked since I could pick the exact cookie I wanted. I ordered just one of my favorites: a chocolate chip cookie. I didn't have a lot of expectation for it. But it turned out to be a nice one. It had a lot of chocolate chips and the cookie was of the soft kind. The space inside is spacious and has a good amount of tables and seating. I didn't get coffee this time, but will next time. It's a good location and convenient to stop by before and after rides. I've grabbed a coffee to keep me awake on my hour drive back home. Very cute coffee shop in a quaint town. I stop here for a breakfast sandwich every once in a while. The food options are pretty much limited to cookies, muffins, and paninis. I was surprised to see this doubles as a bike store; not sure the association there! But somehow, it didn't seem out of place. Doppio Bunny is a small, eclectic little coffee shop in The Plains, VA. It occupies the space formerly occupied by Happy Creek Coffee - which recently went out of business. As before - Doppio Bunny continues the partnership with Haymarket Bicycles - meaning that the existing bike shop in the building is still operating. I've been to the old Happy Creek Coffee many times (all 3 locations). Apparently, one of the former Happy Creek employees is the proprietor of Doppio Bunny. I've been in for the cold brew. It's a chilled, Nitro delivery system. As such, by default, they don't put ice in the cup, unless you ask for it. The largest cup they offer is 16 oz. I wish they offered a larger cup - so I could get some ice in there - without losing the volume of live-giving caffeine! What a cute coffee shop! Their own sauces are to be savor sip by sip. I order the Maple Cinnamon latte, Matcha and a plain latte it was unique and good quality coffee bean. BLUF: A nice place to stop in for a cup of coffee but the food wasn't anything special. Priices are fair. Smooth cup of java with nicely designed foam. Appealing for the eyes & taste buds. Breakfast sandwich tasted, felt, and looked like warmed over day old stuff. Hot (reheated) but soggy, dense. If I wanted reheated, I would have gone to a fast food joint. Chili was watery and sitting lonely in a warming pot. No fresh condiments like freshly grated cheese or peppers to top off my decent tasting but ordinary chili. I can understand why the cyclists might like stopping here (there aren't many other places to stop for one), but it wasn't worth the drive. Great quaint, rustic place to stop in for java if you're a local or a passing through non-local who needs to stretch the ol' legs. Hospitality rating when I walked in & ate in? A weak 5 outa 10. Minimally polite, disinterested in being hospitably helpful and difficult to engage in cafe-related interaction (for example, what do you recommend, do you have____? what's in the ______?). Now, I ate in with the main intent to see how others were greeted & what kind of service they received. Stark difference. I'm not wanting to say that this was color-related, but it sure seemed that way. Neither of the two young women who were there were especially friendly to me & one kinda looked at me as if I had crawled out of a spaceship. One other similar experience like this in Fredericksburg, VA. Would I go back? Maybe. Only to see whether my experience would be any better. Anyway, I don't want to leave this on a negative note. I support small biz, afterall, and this is a woman-owned small biz. This cafe location is cute. Coffee is smooth, not especially strong but tasty. This is a lovely little coffee shop with lots of options whether you are vegan or gluten free. The baked goods are amazing and the staff is friendly and outgoing. I want to start off with the fact that the staff is kind and helpful. I also love the decor! It seems like a great place to just sit and read a book. Their breakfast sandwiches are filling, but lack a bit of flavor, even with the side of salsa. Unfortunately, the most important part of the experience was pretty lacking. I got a latte, and the espresso was INCREDIBLY sour. As a barista, I recommend they let theirs shots pull a little longer to get a balanced flavor out of their beans. Otherwise, I would have loved to come again! Hopefully it was just a fluke. I'll give it another shot next time I'm in the area :) read more

The coffee is really good! Just a couple negatives, the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich isn't very good. I like the crispy bread, but the bacon seems slightly undercooked and the egg seems like it was made from powder and then microwaved. There are no scones, which I like with my coffee. read more
