I hired CAV Drywall to built my office at a building I took over. I got 3 bids from different drywall contractors I found on yelp. My friend refereed me the CAV, they framed his custom home in Beverly Hills. Even though CAV did not have any yelp reviews I just like the fact they were qualified, honest and reliable based on my friend. Carlos came out and bid the job and he was also the one who framed, drywalled and plastered the walls. He left the walls skimmed coated just how I wanted them. All the walls where nice and straight and there was no issues. Carlos and his helper did a great job, always curious and respectful. Also they where always on time and never had any issues. We're just about done with a complete renovation of my house that was built in 1957. I wanted to give a Yelp out to CAV Drywall who did all the interior walls and ceilings. A lot of new construction and getting rid of old "popcorn" ceilings and textured walls. I heard about them through my contractor and they also did the work on a friend's house. They were very accommodating about the timing of the project. I added about 500 sq. ft. of new space and was living there while the construction was going on. That made it difficult because we had to block off sections of the house to complete the work. When it was time to open it up, the new and old had to match perfectly. Carlos and his crew were very professional and completed different sections of the house at different times and they were able to get it all to look perfect. The living room-dining room area is where the old and new came together. It turned out seamless and open. I highly recommend CAV Drywall. They were very professional and friendly. Carlos and his crew are amazing at what they do. I had a concrete popcorn ceiling that was unscrapable due to the fact that the concrete was part of the drywall. I didn't want to drywall over it because i would lose 2-3 inches of ceiling height. The only solution was to do a light scraping to knock it down and then mud over it to make it smooth. This is not something the average home renovator could take on. Only a talented crew of specialists can handle something like this and CAV drywall was that crew for me. They came in a covered all my floors and furniture to protect everything and was very accommodating in moving around a few things. In the end they did an amazing job. My ceiling is now smooth and looks like a custom feature. It was the best money I've spent on my home reno so far. I couldn't be happier and how it's transformed my condo. I have to add to the other 5 star reviews for CAV. We hired them to skim coat the highly textured walls in our new Redondo Beach home and they did an amazing job. Our living room has 12 foot ceilings and then we have a skylight that goes another 4 feet higher, so it was not an easy area to access. The walls are perfectly smooth and it really transformed our house. Their price was also very fair and they completed the job very quickly. from the reviews that I've read, I assume that CAV does a good job, when they actually begin a job. that's what I would guess. I wouldn't know for sure. in my case, I had some drywall installed by inexperienced, untrained, unsupervised workers; they made a mess of the Master Bathroom. I saw CAV's reviews on Yelp! and called them. CAV came out, told me what needed to be done, gave me a rough approximation of price, and said that they'd send an estimate in a day or two. seemed great. but, I didn't receive an estimate. so, I texted CAV a couple of times. I received no response and just assumed that they were busy. I waited a couple of days more and called. I was told that I would receive an estimate that day or the next day. that was about a week ago. nothing. in my last unanswered text, I said that, on the assumption that their quality was good, money would not be an issue. I asked them to let me know if CAV wasn't confident about the quality or had some other problem. I didn't hear anything from them. nothing. disappointing experience. read more

A pipe broke inside of my bathroom wall, causing me to have much of the drywall removed. I was in a serious situation, which required me to hire a experience drywall professional.
