Okay...I get the hype now. This was my first time trying CAVA, and I'm honestly wondering what took me so long. The woman I'm dating put me on, and I'm glad she did because my steak bowl was SO good. Everything tasted fresh, the steak was seasoned just right, and all the toppings came together perfectly. I cleaned that bowl up! The place was packed, which usually tells you everything you need to know, but the line kept moving and the staff handled the rush really well. The prices were actually pretty reasonable too, especially for the amount of food you get. And can we talk about the drink machine? I definitely wasn't expecting all the different seltzer options. That was a nice little surprise and gave me something different from the usual soda choices. Safe to say CAVA has earned a new regular. Whenever I'm craving a salad or bowl but still want something filling and full of flavor, this is where I'll be. Pretty tasty. I had CAVA for the first time yesterday. I ordered a grains bowl with hot honey harissa chicken, rice, broccoli, pickled onions, avocado, hummus, and hot harissa vinaigrette. The bowl was so packed with flavor I didn't even need the vinaigrette. The rice was a little salty but I liked the heat of the chicken and my bowl was accurate and fairly well portioned. It is a little pricey but I felt good after eating it. I felt like I ate something healthy and filling. You can essentially customize everything so check out the website and see the options. Now normally I love me some Cava but today was just not it! I came on a Friday afternoon and was able to order quickly. It wasn't crowded at all. The employees that were there were nice and friendly. I ordered a greens and grains bowl. This comes with a base, 3 dips, 1 protein, unlimited toppings. I chose the grilled steak as my protein bc I'm tired of chicken. Worst decision ever! Idk if they use 3D meat or something (totally kidding but wth) EVERY single piece of steak i had was inedible. So tough to chew. I spit out every piece. Im so disappointed because it's an up charge and u spend your hard earned money expecting good food. This was not it. Everything else was good just don't get the steak! The costumer service was great as this was my first time through the line and I didn't feel rushed. When I think of bowls, Cava is one of the first places that comes to mind. As a bowl lover, I have to say that theirs are amazing. One of my favorites is the Harissa Steak Bowl, and I always add corn and avocado for extra flavor. The hummus is delicious, and the cucumber mint drink is just perfect light and refreshing. The place also has a great atmosphere and a comfortable setup, with seating available both indoors and outdoors. I'll definitely be back! read more

Why does Cava continue to employ people that clearly don't want to work? I come weekly for my kiddos and it's their favorite. Food is always great but the service we receive in a 3 min span is insane. Katrina looked at me and was annoyed that someone had the audacity to place an order. Like girl it's 12pm. If you don't wanna work DONT. I'm not a difficult customer. I'm order is easy and basic. Another girl that is shorter and always has her yellow headband is the same. I walked in last week 40 min until closing. She sighed 4 times that I had walked in before closing (Mind you... I still had 40 min and my order took 2 minutes) it got to the point where I had to ask her multiple times if she's ok. IF YOU DONT WANT TO WORK THEN DONT! Cava is a delicious Mediterranean style fast food place. Similar to the service at Chipotle and Qdoba, they serve bowls and pitas. The food usually is really good and pita chips fresh. I went in the later hours so it was a risk, but I'd definitely go back! They are in a location that's close to lots of shopping. They have plenty of parking. read more

The first time we visited Cava, it was good. This visit, not so much. We walked in to a fairly busy place after 7pm. We stood around for a bit before a girl walked over and didn't say anything. We had to ask her if she was ready to take our order. She said yes but she never welcomed or communicated with us in a friendly way. We ordered a bowl and a pita. When we got to the meat, we were told it would be 10 minutes for steak to be ready. On top of that, they were out of several toppings. We also wanted to order the limited edition garlic ranch pita chips but those were also not available. Once the meat was ready I walked back up. The young man that rang us up didn't put any toppings on my pita. I asked if it came with anything and he said oh, yea, I forgot. He then tried to wrap the pita up but couldn't figure it out. Both people working behind the counter that helped us seemed to be off. Either it was their first day on the job or they were on something that made them nearly incapable of doing their job. In the end, the food was decent. $40 for a bowl, a pita, pita chips and two drinks. We'd come back but not in any hurry. read more

Quick trip to Tampa Bay and Cava made it just a tad better. I arrived 30 minutes prior to close. The crew was cleaning and organizing but jumped in to take my order with no complaints. Make your own bowl is the way to go here. Super greens, white rice, harissa chicken, hummus and other tasty sauces along with lots of pickled veggies and other Mediterranean inspired add-ins make this the perfect spot for me. Ugh! I love CAVA but this Brandon location. Please get it together! No reason people place orders at a designated time and still wait for 15-20 mins and the order to be missing items requested. This by far is the worst experience I've had, I'll just stick to the Tampa location. The Brandon staff seemed off, slow, and incoherent. I've been to this location roughly 4x now and as a CAVA lover, this location is disappointing. I don't know what it is about this location but it's always dirty. Tables are never cleaned, the area where you get your drinks is always wet and disorganized. The service isn't much better either. I've been given attitude twice and once had a girl roll her eyes at me when I explained an allergy. Is the food good? Yes. Practically ran to place an order cause I've missed the restaurant since moving to Florida. What a fun place if you're looking for a healthy bite to eat, I would say, is a take on chipotle, however, less Mexican more Mediterranean salad bar. They have salad, bowls, rice, bowls, and pita wraps. I had the Greek salad which was very tasty and fresh. They also have some fresh lemonade juices which are very tasty. When the line extends to the door on a random Thursday night at 8:30pm, then you can almost guarantee it's worth it. I ordered the Greek Pita. It was packed with flavor and honestly the portion is enough to share but I'm way too greedy for that nonsense. I would suggest going on an empty stomach and be prepared to skip next meal as it's filling. Pricey but quality food tends to be. The ingredients are fresh and made to order in front of you and you can customize accordingly. They have a variety of teas and lemonade flavors that you should replace your soda with...just do it! They offer bowls and pitas with a Mediterranean twist. Healthy is on your side, unless you get crazy with the pita chips and dips. If you just want to get your tummy teased, you can opt for a kids meal too! It was a nice portion controlled option to try the menu.
