I've litertally been going to Taiga for 10 years since I used to work in an office across the street. Back in the day you'd get an all you can drink wristband for $20 and they had an amazing little hidden nightclub upstairs. It was always a great time. The good ole days can't last forever. Went with a small group on a Friday night to celebrate a birthday. $20 cover for men, $10 cover for women (cash only). Security folks were real cool and we were inside after a short wait in line (maybe 2-3 minutes). Once inside the vibes were chill, the music seems catered to an older 40s+ crowd, but I'm knocking on the door of 40 so that was fine for me. What wasn't fine though is how bad the service is, one of the bartenders must have been on pills or something because she was the slowest I've ever dealt with, I'm talking 5 minutes for her to make 2 simple drinks. She also skipped over my group to help someone who walked up that was her friend. We got our drinks and found a table outside. Spent probably an hour here, the vibes outside were what you expect from most bars like this in Tampa. Very few people dancing or having a good time, most are standing on the wall trying to look cool or scrolling their phones. The DJ wasn't the problem, the crowd was. Food was pretty bad as well. They should just hire some food trucks, the wings were disrespectfully bad. read more

I went after 10 pm on both Friday and Saturday and there was a great DJ who played all the up-to-date music that you most- likely hear on your local pop-culture radio stations. This is the only place of its kind in Brandon and I think it's worth a try if you're looking for good music, decent hookah, inexpensive but tasty food and a great DJ. I've come here on Friday night and Monday night and I enjoyed myself both times. Of course Friday night as more of a club feel and Monday's felt like a sports bar and grill. The lemon pepper wings and chicken fingers were delicious and had plenty of flavor. My hookah lasted quite a long time on both nights and they made sure to constantly change the coals without me having to ask. The staff is attentive with no issues--especially Melanie who always gives great service with a smile. I also like that they're always doing drink specials through the week and women have no cover on Fridays. A really nice and comfy place to have drinks, smoke a hookah and enjoy music. I went on a Saturday night. I got there at 9pm and after 930pm I observed that they started charging an entrance fee. I'm not sure the cost but safe to assume it was $10 or $20. They offered a drink special had about 5 items on the list I stuck with the crown royal, $9. The hookah was $30 and they refilled the coal periodically, you don't have to ask and it's free. The DJ was awesome, the music was really good; hip hop and R&B. I can't rate the food, but it's a simple bar food menu i.e. wings, chicken tenders, fries. Parking is kind of limited, the gas station charges $10. An honest review: Ok. This is a lounge/night club, and it looks like it probably gets pretty seedy/ghetto as the night goes on. But, that being said, the food is surprisingly good! We asked for a Greek salad to start, which showed up with the rest of the food, so service fail there. But it was awesome, and the plates were HUGE. I stopped into Tiaga because a friend of mine was Dj'ing an event for the PLUSH club of Tampa Bay. DJ Chef Zulu was in the house for Partygras 2015 and the music he was spinning was HOT. Everyone was dressed to thrill and the beads (And drinks) were being tossed back. The venue allowed us to have the top floor dance floor, and the patio for our event, and we filled it. It was very subtle in taste. Immediately burnt the shisha but the service there was subpar that i didn't bother asking for something else. I have never been here but I live across the street and when there music is playing it is quite loud but I normal can't hear it in my apt but one night they got a new dj and the bass was loud and it was slightly shaking my windows so I called them and the nice man that answered told me that they have a new she and offered to ask the Dj to turn it down I was like ok so he hung up and said he would try to turn it down I thought it was a done deal then 5-10 mins later he called me back and said is that better then asked me where I lived and now he moves the speakers away from my apt complex. So I just want to say thank you very much, I think that is the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life and probably every will. Food was ok but the overall experience is terrible. You probably didn't realize this place serves food. I didn't. It is far more known as that weird club attached to a gas station. But for $12 on groupon I'd figure I'd give them a shot. As we walked in, there was a DJ blaring rap to a crowd of zero. When we walked into the restaurant part, it was a ghost town. Just a bartender who seemed surprised we wanted to see a menu. This was 6:30pm. The fact nobody else was there was a little weird. We show the bartender who would be our waitress the groupon. It says dinner and drinks for 2. No dollar amount. My friend and I both order the gyro and she suggested the platter. She said it would be fine with the groupons so I upgraded. The platter just adds a small half salad. My friend just went with the gyro. Since the groupon said drinks I also added a Diet Coke. Meal arrived. It was good. Not great. As we waited for the food, I read the Yelp reviews and noticed others have had issues using their groupon. Sure enough when time comes to pay a guy who was not seen until now insists on taking my phone to use the code. He comes back to the table and the groupon has been marked used. He starts to tell me that's the way it was when he first saw it. I was firm in letting him know that I'd never been to this place ever. He comes back and all seems taken care of until I open and see a bill for $10. He insists the groupon is worth $20. Nowhere was this on the groupon. So with tip (it's not the waitess' fault) we ended up paying $27 ... Full price. Meanwhile the blaring rap outside and blaring country inside really made it an uncomfortable place to be to dine. My friends and I were at my place having some drinks. I let them know about this place and we just wanted to have a girls night and enjoy our Christmas Eve together. The place was empty which to us it does not matter cause we know how to have a good time no matter what. We bought a hookah and had some drinks. Enjoying the night so far until one of their bartenders (white girl) came up to us saying we shouldn't be drinking unless we show her proof of our age. I didn't hear her so I asked my friend what was it that she wanted and the bartender comes back and says "what did you say?! I'm here if you have anything to tell me" right after she got in my friends face. Obviously that did not end well. The owner instead of making things right roughed me up talking about he's the owner and i told him I didn't care who he was for him not to put his hands on me when his obviously very jealous bartender was who had no right to do that when we showed our ID when we came in and after they are who served us the hookah and the liquor we bought. If it wasn't for her we would have definitely came back to this place even if it did seem ghetto but that to us does not matter. If you're a good looking female, do not come here at all!! The owner needs to do better and makes sure his employees do not act this way. As a manager myself if one of my employees did this to a customer she would have been fired! read more

My daughter and her wife went to this club on a Saturday night. Ladies enter free. My daughter paid for a male friend to enter but the person on the door also charged her. When she clarified she should enter free because it's ladies night, he asked to see her ID a second time. She gave it to him and he apologized, as she was walking away he again stopped her and again asked for her ID! She gave it to him for the third time and again he apologized but now she is so frustrated and angry she couldn't enjoy her evening. They stay for 45 minutes and left but not before using some words that expressed her feeling to the employee that caused this unpleasant scene at the door. I don't condone her words but I truly understand her frustration at a club that would allow employees to treat patrons with outright disrespect. Both my wife and I after reading previous reviews seriously considered cancelling our Groupon. But we didn't really read much on the quality of the food, so we decided to check it out for ourselves. I told Jessica our waitress about what the reviews had said. She told us that the food was really really good. She recommended "Chicken Sharma Plate" as being her favorite, which I ordered. My wife ordered the "Mediterranean Sampler". Both of us were very pleased with how good the food really was. All the food was seasoned just right and we couldn't stop eating it. Food that was suppose to be served hot was hot (meat, rice, pita bread and etc) and food that was suppose to be cold was cold (lettuce, tomatoes, hummus and etc). We also asked if they had a house Merlot wine. She said that they serve "Barefoot Merlot". I asked her if she had anything a little better. She said, "The owner also owns the liquor store next door. What brand do you like? I can get you a glass." I thought, "Wow, this is a first". I told her that I like the Australian Yellow Tail Merlot. She said, "I will go, get a bottle, open it up and get a glass for both of you. We were both impressed. The reason I'm only giving 4 stars is we went at 4:30 in the evening. Both my wife and I felt the music was a little loud. Jessica said in the evening the music is much louder. When my wife and I go out to eat we like to be able to talk to each other. It'll either take you forever to get service or you'll have to deal with rudeness. On Ladies Night- where ladies drink free before 11pm- it took almost standing on top of the bar to get one of the four bartenders to acknowledge our group of only three people.
