Family have been telling me about this place so I had to give it a try. I got a bowl of spicy chicken + avocado oommmggg. Best dinner bowl ever! All the ingredients are fresh. Love this place! I used to go to the Cava on Guad in Austin-next to UT Austin. I went there once a week, pretty much and felt sad when I moved out of Austin-because I wouldn't have my cava anymore. That being said, when this location was opened, I was very excited. The service here is great, with the workers being very helpful with new customers, walking them through the ordering process. I noticed that a bunch when I first started going here. The food is great, as usual, and I feel like the portions are bigger than other Cava locations I've visited. I love you Cava. The "person" behind the countrr who supposedly completed my order was so RUDE and arguementative when She was asking questions and blamed me for not understanding what she was asking with a fast rate of speech that was not clear to start with! She charged me extra for 5 pita chips which should already come with the order and then literally threw the items in the bag and then after I paid I did not want the eggplant dip to leak on my order and I told her she threw the items in and she then argued saying NO I DID NOT and when I asked for a receipt she said you said you didnt want it and then didnt hand me the receipt I asked if the print out was my receipt and what "SHE" said again was extremely RUDE and said "you"re the only one in here!" I told her she was argueing with a customer and she said NO I'm NOT She DOES. NOT deserve to work behind a service counter!!!!!! She was RUDE!!!! read more

UPDATE: husband got sick from their food. Original Post: Food was okay. The soda on the floor by the soda machine was so sticky that it took my flip off. The soda didn't have any taste. Although it was colored brown like cola, it tasted like soda water. The tables and seats were dirty. For two people, two meals, and one drink, it cost us $30. Not sure I'd go back. Aladdin's is hands down better. read more

I'm quickly becoming a regular. The food is great. It at least feels like I'm being healthy, and the portions are generous. My disclaimer is I don't eat much, but I can generally get 2 meals from a chipotle burrito, and I can get 2 meals from the Pita or Bowl meal. The service was fast. They aren't super friendly, but definitely NOT rude. I wish there was more indoor seating. Outside is just too hot, and there isn't enough shade to keep it cool (but we do live in Texas) :-) Overall, I will keep Coming back and am grateful for this new quick dining option in Burleson! read more

Very skimpy on portion sizes here. When comparing to other bowls (e.g. Chipotle), the value just isn't there. I'd eat here alone once in a while for a quick lunch but you'd be breaking the back trying to feed a hungry family here. With the prices of everything going up, folks are looking for good value and this Cava location just doesn't provide the value I'm looking for in a fast casual experience. The food is generally solid and I've not had any negative experiences with staff but this will be a monthly treat as opposed to a weekly stop for lunch. Not great Cava, not great. read more

We went for our first time yesterday. The employees were super helpful and answered my questions without making me feel dumb, lol. The food was really good! My husband got the steak & harissa, and he enjoyed it. I built my own bowl with veggies and falafel. We also got an order of pita chips. It was SO good. I cannot wait to eat there again. I hate writing this review. I LOVE Cava, it's one of my favorite spots. This location gives poor portions and really needs customer service work. I haven't gone inside, but I used the pick up lane. I was told there was no record of my paying for a drink, I showed the receipt, and was given a water cup. Just go to a different location or Torchy's next door. read more

I LOVE this CAVA! The people here make all the difference. The manager, Daniel, is so helpful and friendly and the staff are happy and service-oriented, which is rare in this day. I always feel like I am being served by people who know their product well and care about me, the customer. The food was delicious as always, fresh and healthy, and the serving line and restaurant were both clean and neat. I love CAVA's unique selection of drinks and teas. Restaurant was out of steak, falafel, and spicy lamb meatballs. The girl at the counter wore gloves to make our food, then handed us our cups with the gloves on, meaning food residue was all over the outside of the cup. One table didn't have a large amount of trash and crumbs on it. All others were dirty. The girl that "cleaned" the tables (after I asked if someone could come clean them) took dry napkins and wiped the trash into her hands. No disinfectant or sanitizing spray was sprayed at all. I have eaten many times at the Water Side location. First time at the John Jones Burleson location. Extremely disappointed. read more

Not a good experience today at the Burleson location. Went in to order a Harissa bowl and was asked if i wanted the Harissa bowl special. The girl behind the counter said it was available for a limited time. I didn't know about this special so i simple said ok. As she started fixing my bowl, i pointed out that i wanted the Romaine lettuce. The manager overheard and quickly said "that's not on the special but I'll let you have it THIS time". Very snarly attitude (might i add from a manager). So, then they tried to give me spicy pita chips... i said can i have regular pita chips and the manager steps in again and nastily says "NO... that's not on the special". So i said... hey ya'll tried to sell me the special when i initially came in and asked for the Harissa bowl... finally i just said - never mind. The manager must not have heard me.. so she says again... That's not the special... then i said I'M NOT GETTING THE SPECIAL! Such rudeness from a manager. She could have done one of 2 things for great customer service - 1. Just switch out the lettuce/pita and said next time the special comes as is and explain what the special actually is before trying to sell it to a customer 2. Just kindly explain that the special is as is; sorry mam - no substitutions.. .but her attitude! I won't be coming back and I wonder why when i do go to this location... i never really see customers. This place is my new fav! Not anything like it in Burleson so it's a great addition! I love their healthy bowl options! Visited Cava last week and had a good experience with food and service. Today 5/18 at 3:00pm was a complete 180 on Service. I ordered a Spicy Chicken and Avocado Pita with no crumbled Feta. Alex was making the order and seemed indifferent and bored from the start. He started the first Pita but put regular chicken which I noticed and another employee pointed to the correct chicken. Alex's indifference turned to annoyance. He grudgingly started the second one but again was paying no attention and added crumbled Feta. When I told him "never mind" he turned to a co-worker laughed and raised his ands like "oh well". We immediately asked for a manager and was informed that was actually Alex. He could not have cares less and I'm shocked Cava has him as a leader in that store. Showing your employees it is ok to belittle customers and not provide any semblance of service is amazing. We will be contacting the GM Daniel and ask he review in store video of actions for order AC2TJL9AACD6. UPDATE, nobody ever responded. Tells everyone exactly what type of place this is. read more

When the employee drops your food on the ground, picks it up and places it on the serving line/prep area, then serves it to you.....(with her gloves unchanged).....I'm no longer interested. I've waited for months to have my first cava experience. People have said how amazing the food is at other locations, yet this is what I experienced within 30 seconds of walking in. When I called her out on it, she tried to play it off. NO THANKS.....I'll find somewhere else to eat that isn't serving from the floor where everyone walks. Would you lick the bottom of your shoe??? I love Cava so much, so when we moved to Burleson a couple of weeks ago I was so excited to see that there was one down the street from me. The first time we went we experienced a super rude employee who informed us they were out of mostly everything, followed by a snarky "have a good day" as we left because they didn't even have chicken or rice. Decided to try again only to be disappointed in the crunchy rice pieces, undercooked chicken, squishy old tomato, and small portion. So so so disappointed that this is the Cava near me. Maybe management can change this location around, because Cava really is so good, and after reading the reviews this is too common for something not to be done. read more

That said, the experience quickly slowed down -- and I mean really slowed down. First tip: do not go here if you're in any kind of hurry. Service was incredibly slow from start to finish. Our waitress also had a noticeable undertone of attitude, which didn't help the pacing issue. We ordered iced tea, an appetizer, and a salad to start. The salad unfortunately came absolutely drenched in dressing. We also ordered the garlic cheese bombs, which were actually very good -- though by the time they arrived, we were so hungry from waiting that anything might have tasted amazing. There were several small service details that added up. We had to ask for straws, we had to ask for plates, and we even had to ask for ice for the iced tea. We were never offered drink refills the entire time we were there. Everything is served on small appetizer plates, and when our pizza arrived (which was good -- fluffy dough with great flavor), we had to ask for new plates. The response was, "Do you want more plates?" which felt a bit strange. We also weren't given any pizza serving utensils, so we ended up using butter knives to cut it. The service felt detached, as if the waitress was distracted or simply going through the motions. The overall vibe in the restaurant -- felt unusually downcast, which affected the dining experience. *Would I Return? I would absolutely visit this franchise again, because the food is worth it. But returning to the Burleson location specifically is questionable based on the atmosphere and service during this visit.

It is affordable which is much appreciated during travel. We had garlicky wings and spring rolls (vegetarian deep fried) to open. Wings were crispy and tasty - not buffalo in size. Had Tom Kha soup, pad see ewe, green curry, drunken noodle, vegetable fried rice, Thai iced tea, lime coconut drink, and the ice cream sandwiches macaroon. Thai iced tea was pretty standard. The soup was sour and yummy. My family is mostly vegetarian so all of the dishes except the drunken noodle and wings were with tofu. The green curry had warmed up green beans and peas from frozen-nothing to write home about. Pad see ewe and drunken noodle were decent. I didn't try the fried rice. The fried spring rolls were more wrap than vegetables. The vinegar sauce was a little bland. The dessert was delicious - lighter in sugar than a usual macaroon. Cookies n crème was dairy, and the blueberry was nondairy, tasting like a blueberry bagel, per my niece- and at the end had a floral lavender rose note. The wait for the food wasn't too long. The takeout containers vary from plastic utensils to bowls, to cardboard box for wings, to foam for smaller bowls, and wooden chopsticks. It was disappointing to not have the option of fish sauce with peppers. But the sriracha sauce and separate dry peppers were offered.
