It's a Mediterranean style restaurant that has an endless variety of combinations, as you can choose each ingredient that goes into your bowl or pita! I really appreciate the inclusion of vegan and vegetarian options, not only in the sauces available, but in the protein choices as well. For my bowl, I choose the jasmine rice, the harissa spread, roasted veggies, and my absolute favorite was their skhug sauce, it was amazing! I am an avid sauce lover, and this one was a delight. I'd buy a bottle of it if I could! They have indoor and outdoor seating, and it's a great place for a quick bite or a cute lunch catch up. Just...wow. Talk about blown away. Definitely NOT what I was expecting. If you look up "fresh" in the dictionary, a photo of my create-your-own bowl would be featured there. AHHHH MAZING!! I played it safe this visit: Saffron basmati rice, topped with lemon chicken and standard gyro toppings. Next time, I'll be more adventurous...and spicy. Get a side of pita chips! Cava is a fresh, fast Mediterranean restaurant. They offer bowls and pitas as entrees, sides and cookies. They have craft sodas and fresh juices like mint, lime, and cucumber juice (it was similar to a limeade -- very good!). My husband had their version of lemonade. Also very fresh. Once you get in, you'll decide bowl or pita. Each option comes with a small amount of up to three spreads. I tried the hummus, tzatziki, red pepper hummus. My husband had the tzatziki, crazy feta, and harissa. The tzatziki was my favorite but I'm biased. My husband said the crazy feta was awesome. Then you can pick your protein. I had a traditional falafel so I had a baseline. My falafel was very good. My husband had the spicy lamb meatballs. He said he would get them again but with a bowl next time so he could break it up. Finally the fun part - toppings! There is such a variety of options to put in your pita or bowl. My husband's favorite was probably the roasted corn. He said it was the best roasted corn he's had. They have pita chips that you can add as a topping which I highly recommend. Gave a great texture. Sauces - My husband went with the lemon vinaigrette and said it was incredibly refreshing and would be great on the bowls. I had the lemon tahini. It was really good and although it would be hard, I would probably get it on the side just so I could try a different dressing too. So many of them looked so good! Went to this new location a couple days after their grand opening. It was mid afternoon and not busy at all. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and seemed excited to help me build the perfect bowl for my first visit to a Cava. Mediterranean is one of my favorite cuisines so I was excited to try it out and I was not disappointed. I ended up doing the build your own bowl with greens and grains. I did half romaine and half basmati rice with the grilled chicken. The crazy feta is I also had the tzatziki and red pepper hummus. I would probably get the hummus on the side next time for dipping my pita in. I got almost all the toppings available except the pickles and cabbage. I'm not a tomato fan at all but LOVED the tomato and onion medley they had. The tomatoes were sweet and fresh. The Persian cucumbers were awesome as well! Everything was delicious and I will absolutely be back. The staff asked what dressing(s) I'd like. I thought I could only get two but the encouraged me to get as much as I want so I tried six different ones! I'm a sauce guy through and through. You start off by picking your base which includes either rice , a salad , pita, etc. then you pick up to 3 dips/spreads (I picked the 3 listed above and the red pepper hummus was by far the best ). Next you pick your protein option which includes falafel, different chicken options, lamb, and more! Last but not least you can top it all off with some toppings and dressings for added flavor. Overall, I absolutely love this concept and wish I had one closer to me. Cava is the best spot in the SoDo area for a quick guilt free meal! Plus, they're usually open a bit later than other places. The bowl is a great size, I love being able to split my base between splendid greens and rightrice as well as my protein - usually a combo of falafel and chicken. Their signature bowls are a great way to start and usually have delicious flavor combos, if you're not sure what you want to get. The staff is always kind, friendly, helpful and efficient. Oh, and don't forget to try the pita. It's usually warm and well seasoned so you can never eat just one. Parking is easy too. read more

This was my first time here, and I'm slightly picky, so I didn't know quite what to expect. What I found was a Mediterranean Chipotle-style line, with a lot of options. None of the pre-curated options called to me, so I customized a bowl. I liked that all of their options lean healthy, as I am trying to be more mindful. They also had a lot of vegetarian and vegan options which was perfect for my fiancé. Pricing is decent to what I would expect, and portions are great. Tried CAVA on Michigan Ave, Orlando. Ordered a grain bowl with about 8 items on line. Waited over 40 minutes passed the pickup. Had to keep begging them for my order. There were people there waiting longer for their pickup orders. Finally got it. Looked decent at first glance. Had other groceries in the car so I couldn't wait any longer as they were starting to spoil. When I got home my 8 item "grain bowl" had only lettuce and lentils in it. SERIOUSLY! Wrote corporate about my experience. Got the "We're sorry and here's a future credit for another visit", per bla bla response. I demanded a refund which they finally did after several more exchanges. What I did promise to do was tell others of my experience. I would highly recommend not going to CAVA. Restaurant was filthy on top of everything. read more

I love this place. I feel like when I eat here I'm eating actual food, not cheap pre-made microwaved garbage. They have a lot variety to the bowls and salads, and different flavors you can create. You have a wide variety of ingredients to pick from and everything is so fresh. And the best is you get your money's worth as they don't skimp on their serving size like other places. Even when there is a long line, it usually moves fairly quickly since the employees work very efficiently. I ordered a "build your own" grain bowl with brown rice, lentils, hummus, grilled meatballs, pickled onions, fire roasted corn topped with lemon herb tahini dressing. As always, the food was fresh and delicious (the meatballs are my favorite). The only critique I have is I feel there should be seafood added as protein options (shrimp or salmon would be ideal). This place is my new favorite obsession! It's like a Mediterranean version of chipotle. I usually create my own bowl and get rice/arugula, chicken (the original is better and not spicy), crazy feta, tzatziki, avocado, corn, lentil tabbouleh, salt brine pickles, pickled onion, and yogurt dill dressing! I came here because it was the only Greek food place somewhat around the airport (which was where I am staying). This is a good Greek food place if you are just looking for bowls and wraps. They don't have any Greek desserts either. The service was slower than I had hoped for, however I came in just after a rush and the staff had to restock the food in the lineup.
