Jesse and his crew were responsive and eager to coordinate directly with my insurance provider, which helped move the process along--but not without some concerns. To start with the positives: Jesse is communicative and aggressive about pushing the claim through insurance. Once work began, the repairs were done relatively quickly. He clearly wants to keep things moving and keep the client informed. However, the full process--from damage to completion--dragged into early April. A lot of that delay falls on the insurance company, but not all. CRE can be a bit too eager to upsell or stretch the scope of work to fit what insurance might cover, and that added some complexity and delay. More importantly, the execution left a lot to be desired. The fascia and trim work ended up dented, scuffed, and uneven in places. Nails were bent over instead of properly seated. Cosmetic flaws that shouldn't be present after a professional repair. And the biggest issue: the roofing subcontractors were extremely sloppy. They left debris scattered across my yard and nails in my driveway--one of which ended up in my tire. That kind of carelessness really undercut any goodwill. In summary: Jesse is responsive and energetic, and CRE will push your claim hard. But expect to keep a close eye on the job, especially the subs, and don't expect perfection on finish work. Daryl responded promptly and the team of himself, Norman and Javier did great work. While for some speed might be a priority, Upscale focused on getting it right. There was good communication and any problems that arose were discussed and dealt with. In the end they did really great work at a very competitive price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and in fact am considering them for another project inside the house.

A couple of things: 1) Bad Scheduling and Communication - the original work was supposed to be done in 2 days, but they said they needed a third day to complete the job. This is very unprofessional and inconvenient since my tenants set aside their day to make sure they were available to let them in. 2) Unprofessional-ism - As we scheduled to get the job done, more of the ceiling cracked so I made a mistake by asking them to fix the additional spot and see if other spots needed to be fixed proactively. They said yes, they can fix additional spots and paint the entire ceiling and the job will take 3 days. The worker comes to do the work on the first day, and never showed up on the following day. Again, no notice that they weren't going to show up and again, my tenants had set aside their days to let them in. This is the second time now so I was about to ditch this contractor, but they said they will absolutely finish the job on the next day 3) Bad Quality/craftsmanship - I posted before and after pictures. While the ceiling is "repaired" -- it looks horrible and I'll most likely have to get it redone. I had this done by another contractor 10 years ago on another spot and the finished product looked smooth so that you couldn't tell that the ceiling had been damaged at all. Not with this finished product though. I would have let #1 and 2 slide IF the end result was high quality of work. But the result is unacceptable to me and I worry that the more of the ceiling will crack since I have no confidence in their skills in this area. Beware other yelpers -- they don't have many reviews for a reason.

While the workers replaced less than 15 sheets of plywood, I was charged for all 38 panels. After 2 months of trying to get this resolved, the Area Manager for CS1 was to come out for this and other issues. No one EVER showed up or called. I have texted CS1 numerous times, with zero resolution. They even scraped my brand new picture window and front railing. I had to have another company come out and do mold remediation in my attic as they did not even replace panels that should have been replaced. I also never received an itemized bill or warranty for the new roof. VERY DISAPPOINTING and would NEVER recommend this company for anything.

It is currently raining in my half-bath because I've been asking them since August 2020 to fix the leak they created when replacing the house trim. (A job that they had to be pestered to finish, that left black paint on the rest of my house that they just tried to cover with the existing lighter paint, and the trim is already showing damage.)
