There's a reason we drive an hour each way up and back from Phoenix EVERY time we need to board a dog. We've had dogs our whole lives and have been faithful clients of Angelo's since we our new blended family found him in 2016. Our last 2 dogs have been working K9s with specific needs. Angelo is very familiar with these dogs as well, and Ares and Hades have always returned home happy and healthy. The facility is fully climate controlled with individual indoor/outdoor runs and is very clean. You won't find 20 dogs rolling around in unsupervised chaos while a bored attendant scrolls through a cell phone here. It's also not a place where your dog returns to you nervous wreck; but fluffy and smelling of baby powder with a ribbon on its head after being confined in a tiny crate for 2 weeks. All things to consider when entrusting your pup to someone else. Angelo knows and understands dogs and is beyond competent with all manner of breeds. Shawn answered and immediately assured us that his staff would standby to take in our pup. As stressed out pet parents after a 7 hour drive, the whole thing was a bit hectic trying to find a safe and reliable boarder on such short notice, but that staff was calming and friendly. Intake was smooth and gave us a lot of relief. After a couple days, we called and asked for an update. To our surprise, they sent a full report card with pictures and videos to reassure us that he was having a great time at daycare. I appreciated the detail and attention they gave our little guy. When we picked him up it was clear that he was very well cared for. Thanks to Anya, Auntie Em, the chill guy who checked us in, and the awesome kennel tech to checked us out. 10/10 would recommend.

The staff on the phone were very friendly and clear about their practice and made me feel comfortable right away. When we arrived, we were greeted with friendly staff and our pup, Tucker, immediately seemed at home and relaxed, which of course put me at ease as well, especially since as a rescue he has some separation anxiety. They were great at sending us some updates, including some videos, along the way where I could see that Tucker was enjoying himself along with a couple of other small dogs his size. When we picked him up, he was relaxed and not the least bit anxious but at the same time happy to see us. Overall, a very good experience and we would not hesitate to leave him there again, perhaps even overnight if needed. I do not know where we would be without Monique. I truly do not. Our dogs Morgan and Joey had…read morelived together without issue for 11 months and then we started having major problems. Fights would erupt out of nowhere (or so we thought). We were living with them separated. Two different trainers we worked with were biased regarding mixed breed/rescue dogs and left us with little hope. The rescue we adopted Joey from recommended Monique with Elite K9 Training Ranch. Our evaluation was unlike anything I have ever experienced. SHE KNOWS DOGS!!! Like, really knows dogs. Truly, she is a dog whisperer. Joey had a 4 week board and train. She gave us homework to work on with Morgan at home. I was apprehensive at first about leaving my 'kid' for 4 weeks but now she is the one we board our pups with when we go away. She cares about them like they are her own and she provides a secure, protected and balanced environment. We have now worked with Monique for over a year. Board and train for Joey in 2023 then weekly group classes in Prescott with the occasional get away boarding. Every time I am around her I learn something new and my relationship with my dogs has never been better. Looking back on the past year I can now say that I am glad our dogs fought and led us to Monique. I am a better leader and advocate for my dogs. I am a better human too. Monique's real ability is teaching us, the humans, how to be better for our dogs and how to listen to what they are telling us and be the leader they need. I do want to clarify that…read moremy concern wasn't about the grooming itself as much as the lack of follow-up after I reached out twice over the span of six days. I'm still hoping to better understand: -Where the matting was on both dogs and how severe it was -Why such a short shave was chosen without checking first -And to request that I be contacted before any future decisions like that or a sanitary shave I had my two dogs groomed here on March 26 and had a mixed experience, but what's most disappointing is the lack of communication afterward. To start, I understand that my Great Pyrenees had some matting since she's newly adopted, and I do appreciate that the groomer took care of her. However, I was surprised at how short she was shaved and would have really appreciated a call before making that decision. For my Husky, I was told he had "severe matting," which was confusing since he's been consistently groomed for years and has never had that issue. His coat also didn't appear heavily impacted afterward, so I was hoping for clarification on where and how severe the matting was. Additionally, a sanitary shave was done without checking with me first, which I would have preferred to approve beforehand. What's most frustrating is that the owner specifically told me to reach out if anything seemed off and that they would follow up. I sent a detailed message the day after the appointment and a polite follow-up a few days later, and I have yet to receive any response. I value communication and transparency, especially when it comes to decisions about my pets' care. Unfortunately, the lack of response has left me feeling unheard and hesitant to return. I would have preferred to resolve this directly, which is why I messaged twice before posting. I'd still appreciate that clarification.
