Great atmosphere with tasty wines, yummy food, and the cutest winery pup. Inside and out, it is a peaceful and fun spot to enjoy with friends and family. Different options for glasses of wine and wine flights (one person & two person flights available at good prices). Service was great and let us sample before ordering. All the food options were delicious and paired well with the wine. You can checkout the website to see what events are happening ahead of time too (we enjoyed live music). Overall 10/10 recommend and make sure you get to pet the winery pup who walks around.

Cavender was a great stop on. This was the second vineyard we stopped at on our little wine tour of the Dahlonega plateau. We walked into a place that had lower ceilings and a lot more cedar. It gave the impression of a cozy cabin. We ordered flights and grabbed a sofa in the indoor area. The outside had a lot of people already so our spot looked perfect. After a taste of our first white our food came out. A nice cheese spread. It was really good and a great accompaniment to the tasting. And the wines were solid as well. A respectable tasting for sure. We had a guest of a big shaggy dog come through as well. He was a resident there it seems. I'm not big on random dogs wanting attention but this big older guy was just a lovable fella. Cavender, one of our favorites in the area.

One of my very favorite wineries in Northern Georgia! The selection offered is diverse & tasty. Their covered area is very comfortable & spacious. You can select different sitting areas like chairs, sofas, bench. While the outside tables are shaded with umbrellas & trees overlooking the barn & vineyard. Such a beautiful property! Service is friendly with a smile! This includes the smiles from the resident donkeys! So stinking cute! This is our second time visiting & won't be our last!

We L-O-V-E this place so so soooo much!! Although it has grown quite a bit, it is still so full of love and warmth. Some of the best wine and people watching! Summer, Winter or fall, this local spot has grown into such a lovely little gathering area. Can't wait to visit again, and can't wait to see what the future holds!

Food: 2 Service 2 Ambiance: 1 My husband and I decided to take a day trip to Dahlonega Georgia! Do not trip we decided to try one of the local wineries and decided to give this place a try. We chose the Blackberry wine and a charcuterie board and they were both absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere there is very relaxing and beautiful, we will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful vineyard!! My friend and I stopped on a whim...what a fabulous find! We ordered a flight with a flatbread pizza.everything was amazing! We will definitely be going back. The only draw back was the 5 kids running around so it wasn't very peaceful like a lot of vineyards.

I haven't been to Cavendar Creek since the pandemic. We'd pack a picnic and enjoy our day in the country, generally with only a handful of tables occupied. A quickie update: -- outside food is no longer permitted. -- the price of wine has gone up, considerably. (What hasn't?!) On a beautiful fall day expect crowds. Yesterday, the vineyard was packed with folks enjoying the weather and the live music. Per an employee, things are quieter during the week. "Can we bring our lunch then?" I asked. Nope. They sell charcuterie and the like. BTW, their white sangria is quite good.

Wow, what a beautiful property a Vineyard walking up and they have donkeys levels of outdoor seating with lighting and picnic tables and chairs inside. It's like a log cabin. That's very Homie and comfortable and fun and exciting. That outdoor area has patio has a fire pit bar area areas, tons of couches and chairs and rocking chairs just to enjoy a tasting a glass of wine with family and friends service was helpful. They talk to you like your family. They allowed us to sample to sample wines, and guiding explaining about their wines and the process even with a ton of people waiting, you felt like you were the only person in the room because they want you to enjoy the wine that you pick . excellent customer service. After picking our Wine we purchased a charcuterie board they gave us a vibrating pager so that when our charcuterie board was ready wherever we were on the property, we could come back and pick it up so that we weren't wasting any time being able to experience this beautiful Land and winery that charcuterie board was excellent. It had H cheese Meat, fruit, nuts, olives and a mustard but I would asked them if they had a honey and a jam they went to go check and they came back with a honey and a jam that they added on the charcuterie board at no extra cost was perfect. Presentation was perfect. while waiting for a charcuterie board we picked a picnic table out on the hill area overlooking the vineyard. The mountains and the donkeys. were able to enjoy our glass of wine, sunset, and the donkeys. Let's talk about this amazing Cabernet Frank, rich, medium bodied, driven by bold fruit, and spices perfect wine to go with meat and cheese. I have gone to a lot of wineries and I have never liked a wine to buy a bottle and I am am over the moon about this wine that I bought my first bottle. And I want to shout out to the manager, Cathy thank you for taking the time to stop and talk with us. You're you are a rare Gem.

Cavendar Creek is located in Dahlonega, GA and it is an extremely popular choice in wineries. It was packed on a Sunday afternoon and little to no seating available. We settled on the patio area which was nice and they had live music to enjoy in the background. Unfortunately, the petting farm was closed upon our visit and service dogs are not allowed of any kind! The grounds are OK but nothing impressive. I really enjoyed the peach white wine but the snacks and dips weren't great. I personally have other favorite wineries in Georgia.

Wonderful!!!! Beautiful vineyard. Really enjoyed the GSM. Food choices were great for a vineyard. Beautiful and fun atmosphere.

One of my favorite wineries in the area! They have a great wine slushy and cute animals next to the farm with a pretty vineyard to work at. Though all the staff was in high school or college they knew their wine well! Very nice area with plenty of sitting options.

Outside porch seating with rocking chairs and a large fireplace.

In Dahlonega there are a lot of choices if you want to try a winery. One of my favorite is Cavender Creek! It has the feel of a county cabin and is a relaxed atmosphere that will make you feel like you are right at home! Comfortable indoor group seating areas and a large outdoor porch with a fireplace and rocking chairs. A lawn area with tables and chairs to spread out if you want some privacy with your friends and family. The flowers and fenced area with their mascot donkeys will keep you and your friends entertained! They have a nice menu with many wonderful wine choices and some snacks and charcuterie board choices! Check Cavender Creeks website for the event calendar. On the weekends they usually have live music with some terrific entertainment! Cavender Creek also a great venue for weddings and parties! The staff is always in the best of spirits, friendly and eager to make sure you are enjoying yourself. It's a perfect atmosphere to have the best day and who knows you might make a new friend!

This was about…read more10-15 minutes from campus (downtown Dahlonega) I attended a wedding of my friends Katherine and Chris at the winery - honestly I didn't taste any of the wine (yes I know, bad) but enjoyed myself. The venue is pretty spectacular with great views of the surrounding hills and valleys along with the vineyards as the hang of the side of the mountain. There were two aspects that pushed my opinion down a bit, neither are really the fault of the venue or business so I've stayed with the 5-stars. The wedding was held in an outdoor pavilion with great views, but during the first week of August quite hot. There are ceiling fans but they didn't help too much - I was sweltering in my jacket and tie by the time the ceremony ended (just be aware if you book something here during the hot season). The second, there are a lot of stairs as you are on the side of a mountain. If you have a hard time traversing a lot of stairs, there are other means of getting around so once again be aware. The main "hall" has windows with fantastic views. I thought the food was exceptional and wish I had taken more photos, but there were a lot of poor lighting (I was seated next to the dance area). My apologies for the missing check in and the lack of photos but I didn't want to be obnoxious at a wedding. Overall I love the rustic charm of this place and plan to return and more fully explore the wine offerings. I thought the service was exceptional with very accommodating staff, especially the bartenders.

We parked at the bottom of the venue and had to climb the stairs to the top. If you're lucky, you might catch a ride in the golf cart, but if you're seated in the back, hold on tight because it's a steep ride! We came for the Sunday brunch buffet, which features a different theme each month and never disappoints. If brunch isn't your thing, you can enjoy a wine tasting in the tasting room located below the main dining area. If you're there for brunch, you're also allowed to go back and forth between the tasting room and dining room during your allotted table time. I definitely recommend visiting any time of year; the views alone are worth the trip!

We didn't realize how grandiose the property was as we drove down a winding path throughout the estate to get to the restaurant. The restaurant was so beautiful. The front area has a gift shop filled with amazing smelling candles featured in their repurposed wine bottles and great sugar scrubs that'll leave your hands as smooth as a baby - they let you sample it in the bathroom. We were escorted to our table that overlooked the patio of the casual restaurant below, the vast vineyard and pond. I couldn't stop looking out there. Overall, our food was delicious but our waiter was super slow. He was nice but quite odd to us and disappeared for several long moments at a time. The dining room was mostly occupied but not entirely packed. I had the Amalfi dream, Greek salad and the shrimp scampi. All was great. The almafi dream was sweet but not too much, it was smooth. The shrimp scampi was so flavorful and cooked well. The Greek salad was such a fresh and flavorful start to our meal. We were celebrating my partner's new job, so I requested for a celebratory dessert for him. It took a while to come out and when it finally did, the ice cream was melted to the point where it looked more like milk floating atop as if it was sitting there for a while until it was served to us. They didn't even say anything or make it special. It was just silently placed on the table - QUITE UNDERWHELMING. It was still very delicious regardless but that diminished the presentation and joy of the moment. Since the food and beverage were quite pleasing along with the ambience, I'd love to come again but to have a more efficient and attentive waiter who wouldn't drag out our dinner for 2+ hours. I'd expect more attentive and focused service at such a nice establishment.

WINES: Tyler, owner & winemaker, poured for us and provided excellent details on his wines, the winery, and North Georgia winemaking in general. We spoke with him for quite some time, enjoying our shared tastings, and even getting to sample a couple barrel tastings of some upcoming reds. Tyler uses fruit from Georgia, as well as California, Washington, Texas, and more. He offers a wide variety of whites, reds, and dessert wines, including a couple varietals not commonly known to the everyday wine drinker. There are also wine cocktails and mocktails, should you desire something a little different. As I always say when it comes to wines, what I like/dislike may be different than you, so I suggest that you give them a try for yourselves. The quality of Accent's wines was the best we experienced on this trip to the North Georgia Wine Country, and the ambiance and service were fantastic! I highly recommend you check them out.

It's not super easy to find! Dahlonega has lots of interesting twists and turns and back alley shops and some shops blended in so well with other places, that a random door opens up to more unique experiences. So, that's how we found this place. We were waiting to get our names in for Bourbon Street Grille, and this random door behind us boasted wine tasting. I thought it was just a one room deal behind us. When you see the door and the shop, you'll fully understand. If you like wine, this is worth it and a MUCH better deal than the Wine Festival (which is what we came for). It's not a big place and technically only has about 8 seats at the bar for tasting. Thankfully, it seemed all the festival goers didn't know about this place (bc it's totally a Harry Potter hidden type of deal) so we got 4 seats. The kids roamed around the shop while we tried wine. The flights are $12/$16 based off the wines you want. They have white, red, blended and rose. Oh, check in on Yelp and receive one free taste of any wine (I used mine)!!! I did the Rose, Merlot, Vidal Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and the Petit Manseng. Loved the Merlot (had a spicy after taste) the most! Then the Pinot Grigio. The Petit Manseng is their strongest wine but was my least favorite. However, I tasted the Trillium from someone else's in our group and LOVED IT. We ended up buying a bottle of Mtn Harvest Red plus the Apfelwein (the lady described it so well and made us want to get a bottle). I can honestly say I had such a buzz from the flight that I stopped drinking when we went to go eat. The wine was really good and certainly hit, so be careful! Totally worth checking this place out, if you can find it!!!
