I went here with the girls and it was so fun! We started off eating at their sister restaurant which is right next to this then made our way here for couple more drinks and dessert. We got a bottle of their white wine which had nodes of apple and mango which was delicious. We also got their tiramisu which was a little dry but presentation was beautiful. Our waiter was very attentive to us and held our stuff so we can go run around in the vineyards and take cute pics for sunset. It literally felt like I was in Italy for the day

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Spending the day at Montaluce Winery and Estates in Dahlonega felt like a total escape to the Italian countryside without ever leaving Georgia.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had my crew up from Chattanooga in town, and we couldn't have picked a better spot to celebrate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We kicked things off at the main restaurant for brunch, and honestly, the vibes there never miss.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wanted to keep it a bit lighter since I knew we'd be exploring, so I went with a crisp glass of wine, some fresh focaccia, and the Thai Butternut Squash Soup. That soup was incredible. It was perfectly creamy with just the right kick. Everything hit the table so fast, and the service was on point. My friend even surprised me with a lemon drop cupcake, which was the sweetest touch to a chill afternoon on the patio. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After we ate, we headed out for a tour and I was honestly shook by how massive this property is. I've been here before, but I had no idea the trails went back that far. The views are unreal and made for the perfect post-brunch stroll.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] By the time we finished the trail, we'd worked up a second appetite, so we finally hit up Trattoria di Montaluce. I usually skip it because the brunch normally leaves me stuffed, but I'm so glad we went for it this time. That wood-fired Margherita pizza was easily the best I've had in a minute. There's just something about that wood-fired crust that hits differently! This has seriously been the best birthday month ever, and everyone coming into town to celebrate has made it so special. Of course, I couldn't leave without hitting the gift shop for that coconut scrub. If you know, you know. This stuff makes your hands feel like velvet. It's a total staple. I'm already planning my next trip back to see more of the grounds. No wait time on a friday. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Lots of variety of wine and other spirits so there is something for everybody. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food was underwhelming but the scenery made up for most flaws[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Beautiful winery amazing views! You definitely feel like you've been transported to a European winery. Wine was very good service amazing .. if we could change one thing it would be the food - it was decent but could use more flavor

Very nice winery. Good mix of wines for a tasting. Definitely try their dessert wine it's great. View is amazing, beautiful location. Calamari is delicious and branzino good too. I loved their spinach. Only negative was it took forever for them to take our order for the tasting when we first got there. After that, everything was smooth.

This was one of the first wineries we visited during our vacation in the Blue Ridge area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we entered the vineyard it was as if we were back in Italy. The surrounding homes were built in the Italian style and the winery was very Italian designed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were not aware of the need for a reservation but we were lucky to snag two seats at the outdoor bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It actually was very nice outdoors and we were lucky enough to see a wedding down under the big oak tree.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our bartender was Taylor and he was exceptional. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and then took a walk around the vineyard. It was so peaceful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a beautiful setting for any occasion.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We look forward to returning, this time with a reservation!

I hadn't read the reviews before coming here, but I'm glad I didn't because the ratings are low on the side. I wanted to take my husband on a nice little day trip for his birthday and I'm so glad I did! We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite the drive but well worth it as others have mentioned. It was our first time in driving down the winding roads in Dahlonega is definitely not for the weak of heart. Once we arrive to the restaurant, we were told by the hosts that they were full for the evening and that we could try the other restaurant. Well lo and behold we go down to the other restaurant and there were two seats left at the bar. It was a beautiful sunny day with blue skies so we decided to stay and eat at the bar. It was a nice shaded area outdoors and it was perfect. It was really packed for a Saturday afternoon in October. I would say that Montelo is great for everyone. We saw young couples, families with newborns, large groups with friends, people from the town, just stopping by to pick up food. The food was good. We got a pie and branzino and then we did the wine tasting. Definitely delicious! I really can't explain it, but we experienced such serenity while walking down the rolling hills filled with vines. I haven't felt like that in a long time and it was just the most perfect day. That was definitely a core memory. If you're wondering if you should go, please make the drive and just do it.

Plan your visit to Montaluce soon as possible. This Winery nestled in Northern Georgia is fantastic! A Sunday brunch at the Main Dining room was magical. The Main dining room has the option for outdoor seating on the second floor patio overlooking the vineyard and it was quite breathtaking. Having a reservation is preferred. Make sure you check the weather first and ensure you dress appropriately so you can traverse the grounds after your meal. For the brunch portion my fiancé and I ordered the Italian Breakfast then followed with our entrees the Ribeye & Eggs (added Home fries too) and the French toast. Make sure to order a bottle of wine with your meal as it comes straight from their vines. The Apple Wine is a huge recommendation.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is beyond stunning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went to the main restaurant/bar without a reservation and were greeted and seated immediately. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We chose a spot right in front of the fire.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We both ordered at $35 wine tasting so that we could try each offering. They also snuck in an extra pour for us to try. We ordered the charcuterie board which complimented the wines perfectly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views are amazing and the winery itself is beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter was very knowledgeable about each pour. Enjoyed the experience immensely.

    Cheese and Charcuterie board

My friends and I have been meaning to check out a winery as I had never been to one before. This restaurant is located at the very center of one so we could enjoy our Cheese and Charcuterie board with Focaccia bread service and wine over the beautiful views. It was a gloriously sunny and light breeze day. The wine itself was a little too sweet for our preferences. So sweet, the fruit flies couldn't help but dive in the glasses one right after the other. The charcuterie board had a good spread but the chopped pecans was a little unnecessary since we felt like squirrels picking up the small crumbs. Quality of cheeses and meats varied. We enjoyed the bread but were confused since it specified "bread service" which does NOT mean free refills unfortunately. Considering it was $7 for the two small pieces, we were very disappointed. The balsamic in olive oil was good but like with everything else, very skimpy. Overall, we had a great time enjoying the view, weather, and food. But given the prices and portions, we were left to crave for more. Even so, we would come again especially during the spring time otherwise it can easily be overwhelming sitting outside even with their overhead fans.

My hubby and I decided to do an early Valentine's Day dinner at Montaluce. A colleague of mine visited and posted photos of the elk Wellington. Hubs was too excited to try it so it was a must. First the ambiance of the place was just stunningly romantic. Gorgeous lights for a date night. We got two starter soups that were the perfect appetizer. The wine was delicious too. Hubby of course got the elk Wellington entree and I got the red snapper. Both were fabulous. Lastly we ended the night with coffee and tiramisu! I love that the portion sizes were satisfying. Not too much, not too little. We will definitely be back.

Dry salty pork chop with soggy potatoes
    Jskilicious S.

Came here from out of town to try wine and enjoy the view. It looked very promising online. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The grounds are beautiful, but you can tell the upkeep is not what was intended.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restrooms had overflowing trash cans and water everywhere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not what you would expect from a high end establishment. Even though we had a reservation they wouldn't sit us near the window like we requested, and nobody sat there until the very end of our meal. The service was very spotty. The waiter didn't know much about the food, and seemed pretty disinterested with what was available. The drinks were very simple. We they arrived they weren't mixed (separated). Not sure how long they sat before getting to us. The appetizer was the best part of the meal. I suggest the goat cheese flatbread. The soups we got (gazpacho, French onion, and squash) were all very spicy, but did not get served with any bread. The dishes sat on the table for so long that the food runners had to bus the tables. The pork chops we ordered were extremely salty. Almost inedible. The potatoes were supposed to be fried but were soggy and cold. We told the server, but he just said he'd tell the chef. No manager, no effort to fix it. For the cost of this restaurant it is not worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Maybe come for the views. I'd skip it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A lovely vineyard and winery! The establishment is well kempt. There are 2 restaurants; a casual dining with pizza on the lower hill and a fancier uphill one where the wine tastings are. There is a small market to buy things and the staff is knowledgeable. There are several levels to see how the wine making occurs and there are tours if you get one. I just enjoy the grounds and the outdoor patio is nice as well. We enjoyed our tasting and would love to try the food next time:)

It's not super easy to find! Dahlonega has lots of interesting twists and turns and back alley shops and some shops blended in so well with other places, that a random door opens up to more unique experiences. So, that's how we found this place. We were waiting to get our names in for Bourbon Street Grille, and this random door behind us boasted wine tasting. I thought it was just a one room deal behind us. When you see the door and the shop, you'll fully understand. If you like wine, this is worth it and a MUCH better deal than the Wine Festival (which is what we came for). It's not a big place and technically only has about 8 seats at the bar for tasting. Thankfully, it seemed all the festival goers didn't know about this place (bc it's totally a Harry Potter hidden type of deal) so we got 4 seats. The kids roamed around the shop while we tried wine. The flights are $12/$16 based off the wines you want. They have white, red, blended and rose. Oh, check in on Yelp and receive one free taste of any wine (I used mine)!!! I did the Rose, Merlot, Vidal Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and the Petit Manseng. Loved the Merlot (had a spicy after taste) the most! Then the Pinot Grigio. The Petit Manseng is their strongest wine but was my least favorite. However, I tasted the Trillium from someone else's in our group and LOVED IT. We ended up buying a bottle of Mtn Harvest Red plus the Apfelwein (the lady described it so well and made us want to get a bottle). I can honestly say I had such a buzz from the flight that I stopped drinking when we went to go eat. The wine was really good and certainly hit, so be careful! Totally worth checking this place out, if you can find it!!!

They had live music the day we were there, but he was just finishing up when we sat down to taste. WINES: Tyler, owner & winemaker, poured for us and provided excellent details on his wines, the winery, and North Georgia winemaking in general. We spoke with him for quite some time, enjoying our shared tastings, and even getting to sample a couple barrel tastings of some upcoming reds. Tyler uses fruit from Georgia, as well as California, Washington, Texas, and more. He offers a wide variety of whites, reds, and dessert wines, including a couple varietals not commonly known to the everyday wine drinker. There are also wine cocktails and mocktails, should you desire something a little different. As I always say when it comes to wines, what I like/dislike may be different than you, so I suggest that you give them a try for yourselves. The quality of Accent's wines was the best we experienced on this trip to the North Georgia Wine Country, and the ambiance and service were fantastic! I highly recommend you check them out.
