Empty bottle Mountain Harvest Red
Chelleigh C.

Went here for a family get-together at the Dahlonega Wine Festival. Found this place while waiting for the lunch waitlist. This pace was the highlight of our visit as the Dahlonega Wine Festival was not that awesome. The arts and shopping tents were amazing but the wine tent was pretty lame. And they were out of souvenir glasses! Anyways! I digress. Naturally Georgia really made our wine tasting plans happen! They have plenty of spaced out seating options, spread throughout their shopping areas. The prices of the flights were great, as were the wine selections! I really loved the Apfelwein, which taste like delicious juice! And the Mountain Harvest Red. Definitely recommend you check out this place!

We ended up buying a bottle of Mtn Harvest Red plus the Apfelwein (the lady described it so well and made us want to get a bottle).

Spending the day at Montaluce Winery and Estates in Dahlonega felt like a total escape to the…read moreItalian countryside without ever leaving Georgia. I had my crew up from Chattanooga in town, and we couldn't have picked a better spot to celebrate. We kicked things off at the main restaurant for brunch, and honestly, the vibes there never miss. I wanted to keep it a bit lighter since I knew we'd be exploring, so I went with a crisp glass of wine, some fresh focaccia, and the Thai Butternut Squash Soup. That soup was incredible. It was perfectly creamy with just the right kick. Everything hit the table so fast, and the service was on point. My friend even surprised me with a lemon drop cupcake, which was the sweetest touch to a chill afternoon on the patio. After we ate, we headed out for a tour and I was honestly shook by how massive this property is. I've been here before, but I had no idea the trails went back that far. The views are unreal and made for the perfect post-brunch stroll. By the time we finished the trail, we'd worked up a second appetite, so we finally hit up Trattoria di Montaluce. I usually skip it because the brunch normally leaves me stuffed, but I'm so glad we went for it this time. That wood-fired Margherita pizza was easily the best I've had in a minute. There's just something about that wood-fired crust that hits differently! This has seriously been the best birthday month ever, and everyone coming into town to celebrate has made it so special. Of course, I couldn't leave without hitting the gift shop for that coconut scrub. If you know, you know. This stuff makes your hands feel like velvet. It's a total staple. I'm already planning my next trip back to see more of the grounds. We parked at the bottom of the venue and had to climb the stairs to the top. If you're lucky, you might catch a ride in the golf cart, but if you're seated in the back, hold on tight because it's a steep ride! We came for the Sunday brunch buffet, which features a different theme each month and never disappoints. If brunch isn't your thing, you can enjoy a wine tasting in the tasting room located below the main dining area. If you're there for brunch, you're also allowed to go back and forth between the tasting room and dining room during your allotted table time. I definitely recommend visiting any time of year; the views alone are worth the trip!

The brunch buffet ($48 per person) was good-ish, not amazing, but still enjoyable. The charcuterie board was excellent. A bit small for the price, but the cheese was top quality and really well chosen. The sparkling wine tasting was the real highlight. Unique, delicious, and absolutely worth it if you love bubbles. Service was excellent and genuinely friendly. Honestly, this is a great spot any time of year. I'd go back for the sparkling tasting and charcuterie alone.

Frogtown is a very nice venue with the seating area overlooking the vineyard. I'm not exaggerating over it being very nice...the view almost looked fake but it was very real. They serve their wine flights as full glasses so if you have had a day full of wine tastings and you decide to stop here, I hope you are staying in the area, lol. I didn't get to try any of the food.

You'll come in after you park and then go straight to the building and there's a huge bar top area but there's a dining room area all around so you probably can rip this space out because there's plenty of seating. I was trying to do the flight so that I could get a full taste of what they have and they have multiple options. A lot of them are reds though, so just keep that in mind. If you don't like the dry reds, you may want to check for something else but they do have plenty of options. What I liked about this one was that the flight that I ordered was actually a full glass of wine and not small tastings. I got a full perspective of what it would look like to have a full glass. Just know that the wine will get you there lol. It's okay. Three glasses of wine over a good view, you can't beat that. They have an indoor, like I mentioned, but everybody was actually sitting outdoors on the patio area. The patio area was covering the view of all the greenery and all the vines and the backdrop of being in nature. It is a really good view. Everybody there was super cool and very helpful when we talked to them about that and they gave good explanations to the specific whys because if you don't know, you don't know. You check the pictures and you know what I mean but it's a really good view so I would definitely give this a shot!

It was easy to find with plenty of parking, and although it looked like they were preparing for an event later that evening, everything was still open and running smoothly. The property was clean and well-kept, with live music set up and playing outside, which added to the atmosphere. We ordered at a counter. I chose the sweet selection and my daughter chose the white wine flight. Each flight included four 2 oz pours and cost $60 total. We were informed there was also a food truck on-site. We tried the pimento cheese dip and hummus platter--both were enjoyable, though a bit pricey (I don't recall the exact amounts). The vineyard has a large covered patio as well as another seating area with sun shades. Most tables were occupied, and several guests had brought their dogs, which added a relaxed, welcoming feel. While I enjoyed the overall experience, I did find the wines and food a bit on the expensive side, especially given the bottle prices listed on the tasting menu (ranging roughly from $36 to $75). I didn't end up purchasing any bottles for that reason. Overall, it was a pleasant visit and a nice way to spend Father's Day. I'd consider coming back again--possibly in the fall, and bringing my dog next time.

The view of Mt Yonah was stunning, the setup of the place was cool, and the ambiance of their inside/outside area was nice. My two complaints are that it got pretty cold in their glass windowed area- they had a small heater but it wasn't doing much, and they don't give free cups of water here. I'd recommend adding larger heaters and getting a couple of them, considering how cold it can get in North GA in the winter. I'd also recommend giving free water instead of requiring that people buy bottled water. If you were in the Atlanta area, not offering free water would be a code violation. Not sure if that applies here but just to be courteous to your customers you should be doing that. Back to the positives... I ordered a coffee based frappe with the "glamping" flavor (white chocolate and marshmallow) and I thought it was amazing. 10/10. I would definitely order it again. My order came out in a decent amount of time and the employees were friendly. The prices were reasonable and we found parking easily. I would happily come here again! I think there could be a couple improvements (the water issue is why I deducted a star) but if they address those few things then I'd think the place is a 5/5 :) I would come back! (And bring my water bottle with me lol)
