Very helpful staff. This is a very nice Cavender's. It has all the western wear you need.

Least favorite of the many Cavendar's I have been in. No hello, no service, and the store looked pretty neglected. Lots of staff just standing in corners chatting. Not a great look. read more

Rude/ no service/ bad music/ the women are rude and act like they are too good to help anyone that they are t interested in. They are ugly and act like royalty. Don't go here lol the boots are the same as Boot Barn and they are wayyyy nicer people!! I love them and they are very helpful and have better prices too read more

Unaware of the time and that they closed at 6. We were about to walk in as an employee came out with the customer and just closed the door in our face literally, Did not even mention that they were closing already very rude. He could've said that they were closed but not even that. read more

I was in the store, doing my shopping and was never once approached by any workers asking if I needed assistance. I then proceeded to checkout where I was not greeted by either of the three girls standing behind the counter unoccupied and proceeded to pay in silence. I then went to ask a question where both employees checking me out just blatantly stared at me without answering. read more

Worst customer service ever! I was buying a gift for a friend and I was looking for a Boker pocket knife. I asked her about a knife she couldn't tell me the price. I decided to ask for another knife model and then she said she couldn't find it. As she was going through the boxes I told her I was open to seeing other models and she just ignored me. She then proceed to show me another display that only had photos of a different brand and she told me to choose one I liked. Again, she said she didn't have the one I liked and proceeded to point a turquoise knife that wasn't even what I was looking for. I told her multiple times the style I liked and I was pretty annoyed at this point because I was just waisting my time seeing her not even try to show me their inventory. I called my friend and said I didn't like anything.I thanked her and she still asked super irritated which one was I buying. I said nothing and she heard me say I was going to Boot Barn and she said so you are going to another store to buy...I replied with the same energy "YES I AM GOING TO BOOT BARN". I never say anything but today they really got me! If I am being nice to you, yall can also be nice and at least be fake to sell stuff. In less than 5 minutes from walking into Boot Barn I was buying two knives! This store needs to do better! They never want to help you and the ladies working are sassy and not good for retail. This place is awesome! My boyfriend's family lives in College Station, Texas and this visit he wanted to take me to a place that had all country gear since they are hard to come by in California. The moment we walked in I was in heaven! They have a wall of jewelry, tons of clothes and of course BOOTS! If I hadn't been so short on space in our luggage coming home I definitely would have bought some stuff. It was almost a tease that I couldn't. I took off a star only because the items were a bit pricey. I'm aware that it is nearly impossible to get a pair of genuine cowboy boots for under $100, but it sure would be nice! read more

The new bigger is store is definitely easier to move around in and has a much bigger selection. The staff is very fake friendly, you can tell they work on commission and if you aren't dressed like Luke Bryan or a buckle bunny they are going to speak to you with a degree of condescension. You would think actual ranchers would be their bread and butter but I guess wannabe college cowboys are. The women's section is pretty irritating unless you're specifically looking for pink, glitter, or highlighter colored clothes only. It's getting harder to find pants that aren't covered in rhinestones... so much for being taken seriously in my field. Also, if you're larger than a small, extra small or petite small; good luck. I'm 6' tall so 90% of their clothes don't fit me. Also the boots stop at size 9 1/2... which is helpful because I'm a 10. It's very clear they're catering to a very specific type of person. If you're not clear what that person looks like just look at every single female employee they have. That's her. If you're willing to dig through all the Luke Bryan jeans, the men's section isn't bad. My boyfriend can usually find what he's looking for. I will never understand why men's boots are organized the way they are, but they do have a wide selection at least. I will continue to come here occasionally just because there aren't a lot of options in the area, but lately I'm doing a lot more internet shopping on country outfitter to avoid coming here. read more

Years and years ago I bought my first pair of boots here. I tried on about a dozen pairs and just really liked a pair of smooth ostrich boots by Justin. I soon realized they were the most comfortable shoes I'd ever owned. My feet were cradled, but could breathe. There was a touch of ankle support, but they weren't stiff. They were black, but not boring. The length-width fit was perfect. And above all else, the boot supported the sole of my foot like it was made just for me. Then I wore them down to nothing and after a full resole it feels like walking on sticks and stones. Recently I went back, hoping for lightning to strike twice. After 30-60 minutes I walked out disheartened. Yes, they have quite a few boots, but they don't have *that* many. I wear a 10.5 EE, and it really came down to about five styles that weren't that level of gaudy that I think only born Texans or the clueless can attempt to pull off. I couldn't find a pair that had two of the following: not boring but not ostentatious, the right size length/width, and that perfect feel on the sole of my foot. So if you're a D width, I highly recommend you stop by. They're extremely courteous and helpful. If you're EE width...may as well give it a shot. read more

I went in to buy a pair of boots, a shirt, some jeans, and a belt for my daughter today and was astonished by how we were treated by one of the associates. First, we were browsing the boots and he walked in front of us with other customers in tow, totally blocking our view as if we were not even there, and did not bother to say excuse me. My daughter and I moved so we could continue to see around him and the other people and he walked down to where we were and stepped on my 8 year old daughter's toe. Rather than saying sorry or excuse me, he just stared her down as if it was her fault he was walking backward and stepped on her toe. Only after a few choice words from me did he glance over at her and nonchalantly ask if she was ok. I normally have no issues at Cavenders and the people are normally very helpful but this guy really needs a lesson in customer service. There was a nice girl who was excellent in helping us pick out our boots. read more

Bought some pretty sweet Alligator boots at the Victoria location so decided I didn't like them by the time I got to College Station and was hoping they would return them at this location. Sure enough the staff was like yep! Went in and dropped them off at the front counter and found me a pair of Elephant boots, they had about 4 staff members working and helping me out and worked with me for about an hour trying on every pair of boots in the store it felt like. They have great prices on sport coats, boots, accessories and a LARGE selection of women boots. The staff was super friendly and helped me out the entire way, will def return here in my future cowboy endeavors. read more

Horrible customer service compared to every other Cavender's I've been to. They just look at you and maybe just maybe they'll ask if you need help as they're walking by. Everyone looked miserable, except for Matt, (I think that's his name) who showed us where the jeans were, but then we never received any help other than asking who talked to us when we picked our boots. I do suggest some coaching on the staff in regards to asking open ended questions, making suggestions, and just not look like you hate your job. (Especially the cashiers) read more

Outstanding boot selection Cavender's has an amazing selection of western wares, boots, and hats. If there is something you are interested in that they do not carry, they will special order the item. I bought a fantastic pair of ostrich boots here that could not have been found anywhere else. read more

Cavender's has THE WORST customer service of any store!! The generally greet people when you come in but the few times I've been into the College Station store, they never have. They also never help me or ask to help me. There are plenty of people working but I'll never get customer service....neither will anyone who is a minority!! If you are white and go to this store, you should have no problem, but the the few times I've HAD to go to this store, I've had terrible customer service, so has everyone else I know that is Latino or Black. I'm Latino and every time I walk in the staff acts as if I don't exist. The last time I went in was because I absolutely needed something they might have, but once I was greeted by the same old "ignore me standard," I left....never will I go back again!!!! read more

Store was decently organized and clean so I could fine whatever I needed by myself, which is what you have to do. I've been to this store 6 times in the 8 months I've live in College Station and never once was I greeted or assisted. The last time I went in was this evening and as usual nobody said one word to me. I started shopping for shirts and carried three of them around as I shopped, so I received many dirty glares from employees on their phones. I finally decided to try an experiment. There was a gentleman standing around on his phone near me the whole time and never said a word, and so I walked over and grabbed a $900 pair of boots off the shelf, and he immediately came to my assistance. I did not buy the boots, but I did prove my point. The sales associates here only care about commission and the cashiers are stuck up and not friendly. Maybe this wouldn't happen if the Store Manager actually showed up to work once in a while, as I have been trying to get ahold of him for months and he is always "out of office" regardless of what time or what day it is. As a former employee of cavenders for four years I am appalled at the lack of customer service in this store. read more
