Went to another Cavender's off of 10 to call the Cavender's on freedom to make sure they had a pair of jeans and they did so they said truthfully they didn't. They made us drive from one Cavender's to the other. I do not recommend this store then they tried to hide a different brand of jeans and say those were the ones. read more

Excellent service from walking in to assisting us to find an item. The cashier at entrance acknowledge us right away and greeted us. We weren't planning on shopping besides purchasing the hat cushion that goes around it. We looked around my daughter tried on a shirt and before we know it we are birthday shopping for my son. The lady was amazing she went to the back to look for the ARIAT jacket. She didn't have it in stock she placed the order offer to ship to store location and also applied my military discount. It would be nice to be able to shop in piece without being bombarded by 20 different people. I prefer to shop on my own and ask for help when needed. It's the most annoying thing. This was my first trip to this location. I needed some bandannas, and they have quite the selection. Tons of colors and reasonably priced at $1.90 each. They seem to be high quality. The store had quite the selection of boots and western wear but I was only looking for the bandannas. Staff was great and very helpful. read more

Went in looking for a pair of work boots for the job. Store was busy but this young lady named LIZETH took time to help me out and find me a decent pair of boots in my size. My shoe size varies by brand and she did a good job of explaining how different brands fit etc etc. Overall good expirence wish more stores would hire people like her. read more

This all began when my teenaged daughter bought a pair of boots online with money she earned and saved. The order came in good time, however the left boot was a size 6 and the right boot was a size 7.5. Obviously, that's not going to work for anyone unless your feet are two different sizes. (And she wears a 7 to begin with) We called the number that was on the order slip which was the online store and they apologized and offered to check their store for another pair. They found a pair of the same boots, but warned there was a "little wear and tear" because they had been on display. We expected scuffed toes, but what we got were boots that were extremely sun damaged on the front and back shaft. My daughter called the store with me present and told the girl who answered that the boots were not what she wanted and she asked how to get her money refunded. They had sent along a label to we could return the boots, and the girl at the store stated all we had to do was ship back both pairs and they would refund her debit card in "three to five business days". Which, by the way should become their new motto, because that's all we've heard from them. We shipped the boots back in February and here we are in March and we STILL have no refund to her card. We have called several times to ask about it and ALL we get are excuses. The biggest issue for us is that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing, meaning the online store can't say what the actual store has done or is doing and vice versa. Why don't they have one system for all their stores so everyone is on the same page? And other than hearing, "3-5 business days" for the last nearly three weeks, we have heard all kinds of excuses. "It's rodeo season here, ma'am. We're very busy." So in order to get proper customer service, we have to be in the rodeo? Is that what you're saying? We've also heard countless employees pass the buck. The online site blames the store, the store blames the online store, employees blaming each other, yet NO ONE has actually taken responsibility to make this right. And they are not only disappointing a teenager, but they are keeping her money without cause. Not one employee has ever offered myself or my daughter any kind of help other than the "send the boots back and you might see your money by 2019" line. They did nothing to try to keep us as customers, help her locate another pair of boots, etc. They just say, "Sorry, but it's rodeo season and it's really not our problem." I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CAVENDER'S BOOT CITY!!! I am in love with this place for various different reasons. Their selection is great and the service is phenomenal! I picked out the boots I wanted online, but fell in love with a different pair when I visited the store. Go in with an open mind, because it is likely the same thing will happen to you! I had a sales associate's undivided attention 100% of the time, and he was extremely helpful. Sizing for cowboy boots is very different, so it was good to have someone who was willing to help and who could answer all of my questions. All of their boots are made from real leather, so I feel like the prices are justified. I paid about $120 for mine, and am certain I will not need to replace them for several years. If you are a Longhorn be sure to mention it! I think the manager is a UT Alum and he still bleeds orange. He was extremely helpful and super excited to hear that I went to UT. I bought the boots to wear at the National Championship game in Pasadena, California to represent Texas to the fullest, but I have a feeling I'm going to wearing them pretty often! All he's and and boots I bought there seconds. Bought 2 jeans there a year ago. One pair legs are different lengths and other pair I wore 2 times and material in the seat is coming apart. This used to be a great place for ladies western wear but has turned into fashion western wear. They only had 1 1/2 racks of actual western shirts for ladies. The men's section has a huge selection of western shirts wish the ladies section had even 1/4 that selection. read more

Love this place, the customer service is awesome!! I bought a pair of men's boots a while back and the shanks immediately started to squeak and I read up on them and found that it was a manufacturer problem. Took them back angry and the salesman switched them out no problem and I walked out wearing a brand new pair. Since then I have purchased various items. After the flood we lost everything including my boots. Went there and got a new pair and after three months the shanks started squeaking. Went back and the salesman switched them out no questions asked! Awesome knowing they stand behind the products they sell and if there's a problem they fix it quick fast and in a hurry!! Squeaky shanks happen, both pair were different brands and doubt any other store would have replaced boots after three months of almost daily wear. I tip my hat to you ! read more

A guy and two girls were talking in the boot section, but they never bothered to stop their conversation to see if we needed assistance. I went to ask for help at the register and no one was there.
