Great experience here and I almost walked right by You can't beat the price for the quality of food and service The wine list was also extensive, and their daily recommendations were nice to have It's good to have a place like this amongst all the regular pizza and pasta places, and one that isn't touristy

    Italian craft brews.

Nice restaurant with great wine selection and some craft beers. We were looking for a light dinner. Ordered an assortment of bruschetta and Caesar salad along with an IPA and Red lager. Interesting trying Italian craft beers.

ANOTHER AMAZING PLACE IN MONTI Seriously, one might never know about this place if not for Yelp. Hidden behind a façade resembling a Strawberry Hill-selling liquor store, sits what I consider a high-quality restaurant. Cavour 313 offers unique dishes with unique flavors that left me wanting more the next evening, but they were not open. You'll need a reservation. The house red is excellent - some type of Syrah from local vineyards (wish I had gotten the name of it). The service was super.

Floor to ceiling wines if that's your thing! Either way, the food is great and the ambiance is local.

If you love the hole-in-wall experience with locals and no tourists, this is your jam! It's small, so make a ressie for dinner. But stroll on in for lunch and spend two hours eating amazing food and talking with your hands like all Italian do. It's near the Colosseum but away from the tourist traps. Prego!

Sublime, and it isn't just the wine talking. Enoteca Cavour 313 has been here for over a decade and remains a firm favourite with the cognoscenti. The food specialties are just divine and include braised beef in anchovy sauce, pork with hazelnut and honey, marinated fish, carpaccio in dozens of ways, spinach salad wih pears and herbs, carrot salad with parsley, peppery rocket and walnuts, cheeses by the dozen . . . . . you get the picture, this is no pizza/pasta joint. The interior is essentially a wine shop decked out like a Charles Rennie Mackintosh interior with the wine bottles suspended above you. The food is largely organic and the menu is divided into regional specialities, the better to pair with wine you see! I've been coming here for at least 12 years now and the magic hasn't faded.

    Starter.. So good!

Definitely a much needed change of pace from the so many pizza and pasta restaurants in Rome.

It's easily a five star restaurant except our server sneezed into his hands and didn't clean them…read morewhile continuing to serve foods to everyone. This is super disappointing because this restaurant is easily one of the highlights of the family's trip in Europe. Dal Toscano's history dates back to 1938 founded and still operated by the Bruni Family. This traditional Tuscan cuisine restaurant is super popular amongst locals and is well situated in the Prati Neighborhood in Rome and a stone throw from the Vatican. While dining there, 99% customers there are locals and the staff pretty much only spoke Italian. I am suspecting that is also why so many tourists wrote negative reviews because of communication difficulties. And yes there is a little bit of pretentiousness since it's a white table cloth experience geared up towards the working executives in the area. As for the foods they are best explained as "heavenly" as the bistecca and the pastas are really darn good. Despite the sanitary scare we will definitely be returning when we are back in Rome.

This restaurant is amazing!! Stumbled accross this while leaving the vatican. It's a large place…read moreand very well maintained. One tip: You need to be able to speak Italian. This is very much where the locals go. We were there for lunch and it was clear who were the regulars. Google reviews are mixed because the tourists don't seem to get a consistent experience. There are reviewers who say they got treated bad because they're asian. Well, maybe they deserved it...I know how asians in restaurants can be. I'm asian and i was treated and served very well, but i spoke to them in Italian the entire time; they knew we were clearly not locals. The food is ridiculously good and i felt i was treated well.
