Saw this one as I was on my way to a nearby large chain competitor and decided to give it a try. The environment is cozy and cheerful. I had the Cavu cubano, which was delicious. If you've spent any time in the Miami area - note that the Cavu Cubano is in the style of a Cafe con Leche and not a colada/cafecito that you might expect when you order "Cuban coffee." I visit Cavu about once a week to meet a friend. Their coffee is pretty good but not as good as some other places like it. The cold brew has plenty of caffeine but the taste is meh. Breakfast sandwiches are served here, as well as muffins and a few other breakfast treats. I did enjoy my sandwich and my wife loves the lemon raspberry muffin. read more

After much coercing from my husband I reluctantly agreed to go here. I'm so glad that I did! The coffee is amazing (I get the siphon Ethiopian), the hot tea is just as delicious. The atmosphere is peaceful, and tastefully decorated in warm earth tones. The shop is exceptionally clean! Their pastry selection is just as appetizing and appealing. The friendliness of the employees is the best I've seen in a while! I'm now a regular customer. I totally recommend this wonderful establishment!! read more

Great place! Wonderful coffee and teas....try the the Siphon brewed coffee or of course a good French Press. Nice place to stop for a few minutes on busy day and have a quality brew! Minimalist style, very clean, not overly ornamented with random odds and ends for sale - A Good Brew is their thing!...not a typical "comfy" feel ...yet....but the quality, price and awesome staff are worth the visit....and of course LOVE that they built it right behind the Starbucks LOL...but frankly Cavu offers more quality for fewer bucks....I hope they are on the road to success, West Chester needs a good place like this! read more

I definitely deeply appreciate having quality coffee up where the suburbia reigns, their decor is really nice. Having the opportunity to make a stop in to Cavu and be able to be taken care of by these friendly and knowledgeable barista's. Also, Cavu presents a rare treat as a coffee geek: They serve La Terza coffee. I mean, HONESTLY, how many places can you say sell La Terza in our city? Not enough. Their East Coast Roast style is one that brings diversity and a darker side to what craft coffee is known for in Cincinnati. It's awesome that there is some place other than Starbucks and their burnt "coffee" around here. My typical drink is an Americano, but it's nearly impossible to get one that isn't burnt flavored in West Chester - until Cavu opened. Their espresso flavor and quality are unmatched locally. It's had me loving my Americanos again. I hope they succeed, but when I went there the other day, there was a line of cars around the drive through at Starbucks...ugh I felt like knocking on their windows letting them know what they would be missing. read more

I'm adding another fiver to this list. I travel for work and have made a little hobby of searching out a good cup of coffee wherever I am - sometimes it ain't easy, especially in the suburbs. This is an easy review though because Cavu is truly a wonderful place to get a great cup of coffee. The staff led by all star owner Emily are all friendly, helpful and genuinely happy to be there. Normally I will endure a self important barrista with attitude if it is necessary to get a decent cup of coffee but it's so much nicer to feel a warm friendly vibe. The real strength of Cavu though is the coffee - they understand coffee there and I haven't had even a subpar cup in 3 visits, it's always been very flavorful and the right strength. (Someone please tell me, what is the purpose of a weak cup of coffee...) If you are looking for a great place to get some coffee in the area go to Cavu. read more

Was passing through and needed somewhere to work for a couple hours, and couldn't have made a better choice. Homey atmosphere with friendly, helpful service and quality coffee options. In addition to drip, pour-over and french press are available, and they're more than happy to show off their siphon (a little pricey, but you get what you pay for). Only had their Ethiopian during my visit, but it was wonderfully bright and flavorful. Moderate seating space and not a lot of food to choose from (though apparently they are adding lunch options soon), so maybe not great for big groups, but an excellent choice if you're driving on I-75 and need a non-Starbucks coffee option. I stopped in one morning to try their coffee. I described what I like to drink and the barista recommended an Ethiopian coffee. She added a splash of vanilla and some almond milk. The result was a genuine cup of delicious coffee. I have never tasted anything so amazing. Their coffee surpasses all others in flavor. The cost wasn't terrible either! I was pleasantly surprised. I came into the store and there were so many fantastic choices of drinks I stared at the menu for awhile because they had a lot of interesting choices. I found out they make their own syrups and was suggested to try the vanilla latte and it was delicious. It was wonderful to have the big white mug and sit in a cozy seat while drinking it and talking with friends. I even bought a cold honey tea latte to go because I was curious about their tea and that was refreshing and delicious too. This place is deserving all of the positive reviews. I stopped in here this past weekend and can't wait to frequent the place. Cavu has an amazing selection of both coffee and tea and offers pour over coffee as well. They are currently serving some pastries and breakfast sandwiches, and are working on a lunch menu, which I am excited for. Cavu has a very relaxing environment that would be conducive to getting work or studying done. They even offer some things to buy and take home, for yourself or as gifts (bagged coffee, t-shirts and hats, artisanal syrups...). Price-wise, I would not consider it steep at all, and it is much better than your common chain coffee places in the West Chester area. The Cavu Caramel (handcrafted caramel with orange zest) was life-changing. It was so dang good. The decor in the coffee shop is the cutest ever. It's not the typical brown and wood design (which I like as well); instead, it's gray and teal and mint. So cute. Staff were very friendly. read more

This is a great little coffee shop, behind the "Star" coffee shop and just off the highway. They make many of their syrups from scratch, have locally roasted coffee, and have excellent baked goods that are all house or locally made. The owner is often here and helping customers.
