This is a great coffee shop. They have excellent coffee, lattes, but they also have some light bites and wine. Coffee shop by day. But more of a coffee / wine bar lounge on the weekend. I had a latte and some empanadas- they were excellent. Plenty of seating and WiFi for a day out of the house for work. When they actually have their good & sandwiches in stock- they are super good, but it isn't really their priority and I really think it should be a little more. The service can be slow if they get busy because there is usually only one person working. The parking lot is TERRIBLE... you can park across the street but crossing the road is annoying and scary. The owner also yelled at my teens for sitting outside on their patio late one night when they got ice cream next door. I get why they feel the need to do that- but it didn't seem necessary more "because I said so". It was not busy and they were an hour from closing their doors. On weekends, you can often find musicians playing live; we came once over a year ago to see our friend perform an acoustic set here. We sat outside and enjoyed beverages while she played. It was great! They have unique drinks and pastries; be sure to try the Black Walnut Maple Latte. As someone who doesn't like black walnut flavor, this coffee is really good! The flavor is mild and predominant maple. This time around I also grabbed a chocolate chip Gouda cookie and Mexican concha. The cookie tasted like your standard chocolate chip - no cheese is detectable, although I thought some parts of the cookie were chewier than others. I wasn't a fan of the concha; it tasted like sweet bread with icing. It's a cool, unique place and it was hoppin when I was there. However, it is super small; I was planning to stay and work for a bit but didn't because of lack of space. Oh Adesso, you were a 5 star experience, and then I ruined it and ordered something different to go... (insert facepalm here) On a Monday afternoon, Adesso Coffee is pretty quiet, which is very refreshing, and nice to have after dealing with their parking. Cozy chill vibes emanate from their music choices and fireplace. A great place to actually get work done or find solace in a book, or coffee cup. Ordered the Black Walnut Maple latte with Oat milk that put all other chain lattes to shame. May even be the best coffee drink I have ever had in the area! It was so delectable, that instead of chugging it (as one does with coffee) I savored every sip. Perhaps the tranquil environment encouraged this, but nevertheless, Adesso is a place to savor the flavor. Since that latte blew me away, I ordered a Rooibos latte with almond milk to go. DO NOT ORDER THIS. I actually love rooibos, but they need to choose a different tea, maybe with vanilla? After the black walnut latte, this was practically unpalatable, and it was dumped out at home. Also picked up a cute little chocolate to go...that turned out to be $2.50. IT WAS THE SIZE OF A FUN SIZE MINI SNICKERS! It was ok, but not worth the money. Used to love this place, but what a horrid experience today. The two people working couldn't seem more inconvenienced by our presence. Not only when ordering, then when our food and drinks came out. I asked for hot sauce, the girl looks at me in absolute disgust, then says no. Later I go to the bathroom and see the biggest bottle of hot sauce ever sitting on their kitchen counter. Then we go to leave, my husband asks for a to-go cup, the other employee also seems put out by the question, as if he was as lying about need a cup. Great coffee shop with amazing lattes, love the honey cinnamon one - it's not too sweet which makes it perfect. Large size cup (it is $5.5!), definitely superior to whatever you would get at the local Starbucks. It's one of the very few coffee shops in Mason, near the library, and quiet in the afternoon. Can be busy in the mornings. Wifi is great, people are friendly. Seats around the tables could be more comfortable, but the couches by the warm fireplace are comfortable. I always love a good Coffee and really enjoy it when that coffee is at an Independent location. I stopped in because my Best Friend and I were out grabbing a few things and I suggested a coffee, but she didn't want to go to our normal places. Having followed this coffee shop on Instagram since they opened and having never been here I had to come here. It was just to perfect not to try a new place. We showed up and found a parking space, then walked in to a very nice and very clean coffee shop, we were greeted immediately I ordered a Mocha and an almond Croissant, she ordered an Iced coffee with a wee bit of simple syrup and oat milk, and a 70% chocolate bar, after we drank the amazing coffee and ate the best Croissant I have ever had (okay maybe not the best, but if it wasn't it was very close). She also got a bag of coffee to take home. The should be selling purses from Mexico this week, so if you like authentic items not being mass produced in a large country east of Europe, then this is the place to grab that item. I loved my Mocha it it was the first one I think I have ever had that didn't have a bunch of chocolate at the bottom of my cup when I was done. I had recommended this place as something for our Coffee Shop Thursday work group to try last week, as most places tend to be light on food. I'm very rarely in the area, so the last time I was there, they had more selections for food, even a delicious charcuterie board which was unheard of. So we decided Adesso would be our spot to try last Thursday. I got there at 7:45 and the morning barista was such a lovely person. It's for him and his craft that I give this place even 3 stars. I told him that my group would be joining me for the day, but we're good "tenants," and buy things throughout the day. I did note that most of the food I'd seen available last time was all gone and even on the now-trimmed menu, things were crossed out. They did have a breakfast sandwich available at that time, though. Two coworkers arrived and we did our thing. I personally bought three coffees, two teas, and a breakfast sandwich while there. The others bought a few things as well. But around 1:45, I realized I was so hungry that my blood sugar was dropping. I felt shaky even. I went up to the counter, and the morning barista was still there and asked me what I need. I said I was super hungry and with a sad frown, he pointed out that they only had sugary pastries left food-wise. They don't make what little is now offered to order; they make things ahead of time, and once it's out it's out. I asked what the store policy is on outside food, because i did look and hasn't seen any obvious policy posted about that like I've seen elsewhere. But still, I wanted to be sure, so again, I asked. The morning fellow told me I'm welcome to bring something in or DoorDash it -- all good, as long as we don't order things with peanuts. Great! I should note that, not being from the area, I had no clue there were places across the street. I'd have been fine if they'd have said, "We don't allow it, but there's a spot right over there if you need something fast." But, having gotten permission and glad we didn't have to pack up much earlier than expected, we ordered something fast from DoorDash. Once it got there, the morning fellow was gone and the owner was there. He *glared* at me and was really rude, saying, "I *really* do not like outside food in my cafe." I was startled -- that look he gave me was a really angry one. And of course I was also confused. I apologized and said that I'd asked earlier and was told it was ok. While still walking around with an angry expression, he was like, "Well... I guess it's fine for now, but I really REALLY don't want outside food in here." It clearly wasn't fine, and I was extremely uncomfortable with how he treated me. Other customers were staring, since he wasn't quiet about it, and by then I felt like if I didn't eat the food I was just handed I'd pass out. So we gathered our things and went outside to eat in the chilly weather, all shaken by just how aggressive he was about this. Not even an, "Oh, sorry, they were incorrect. Just please remember for next time!" Nope. Not even that. Like, bud, I've given your business about $50 of my money today, you don't have clear signage about your policy, your lovely morning barista doesn't know how strongly you feel about it, and also you don't offer anything for someone whose blood sugar is crashing in the afternoon other than a scowl and an angry comment about it. I don't care how great your coffee is (and truly it is; your expertise and passion are evident, and you've trained your morning guy well in that regard, because his work was awesome). But when you treat your customers like that, it doesn't matter. I'll never be back, will always tell people about how I was treated lest they get done the same way, and will go somewhere where human empathy is just as cultivated as the coffee craft. read more

We like this place a lot. It has such a casual, relaxing, positive vibe. The decor is eclectic and comfy. Coffee is top notch. They also have innovative cocktails in evenings. We like to go there during the early evening for happy hour. They often have great live music. Nothing better than sipping our drinks, enjoying the cool surroundings and listening to music. As an out-of-Towner this is one of those places I wish I lived more nearby to come to regularly. Good vibes, good music, knowledgeable baristas, and enjoyable drinks. I love that they use milk from a semi-local dairy farm. It really adds to the taste of the espresso and makes a well-rounded drink! I'm so excited to find such a cute shop so close to me! My first experience was not great but am definitely willing to give it another try. I ordered a drink off the menu and it wasn't quite right, so next time I think I'll try the Lavender Latte which looks to be the specialty. They have pastries and liquor as well! I don't remember the hours but this could be a great morning spot for coffee, or after-work cocktail spot if they're open late. The staff had their hands full but kept good pace and were very friendly. Definitely a bottle neck here, as there's only one way in or out of the register area so you have to wait for other patrons to pass in and out before you can approach. Adesso is a quaint little coffee shop nestled in downtown Mason, right next to an ice cream spot with plenty of outdoor seating and cozy indoor seating. A selection of flavorful coffee options and helpful staff. The atmosphere alone is so unique and fun, a great spot to catch up with a friend or colleague. They also have request food pop-ups and Daisy Jane flower trucks comes about once a week (weather permitting) to sell cut flowers. My only qualm is lack of sugar free options and milk options. I am a basic coffee drinker who enjoys sugar free vanilla syrup with a splash of skim. This would be the only thing I would change. I've been coming to Adesso for a couple years since it opened, and I've always had a great experience. Not only can you order coffee, but they always have a stock of beans you can grind yourself (they're great!), pastries, and even a big tea menu. Of the baristas I have had, they've all been very helpful in giving their opinions on the drinks and snacks and their ingredients. Our daughter has been talking about getting coffee at Adesso for a while now. Today, we joined her. So glad we did! It's a University-style coffee shop, but in Mason. All COVID precautions are in place, but they've managed to make it feel cozy like the ones you used to hang out in back in college. Fire in the fireplace, everything's clean, very spacious. The coffee was very European - strong, bold, just like I asked for. They have a baked goods cabinet, so I ordered a muffin. Would you believe she warmed it up before bringing it to me? Not like in a microwave, but in a real oven. I was very happy with the whole experience. The barista was sharp, and really knew her way around the espresso machine - someone ordered a frothy drink, and she was spot-on with it. Pretty sure the owner walked in as we were getting ready to leave - super laid back, genuinely interested in how the barista was doing. Small talk with a few of the customers, and opened his laptop to make sure all was well. A very enjoyable visit, and we'll be looking forward to the next time! read more

The aesthetic of the whole place was beautiful. The staff helped us pick out the coffee. We got the black maple, it wasn't too sweet but not too bitter. We also got the lavender latte, that one is sweet but still very good. Overall, an amazing experience. If I lived in Mason Ohio I'd probably be here every morning. read more
