The number one benefit of cocoon coffee is that they have a drive-thru so that you can get in and out quickly. Now the coffee can take some time but it can be worth it if it's quality... What I can't get on board with, is when I'm sitting at the drive-thru and I can see the person the counter playing on their phone or laptop and they completely ignore the drive-thru call button. I love coming to cocoon to study. They have a big space inside and toward the back they have individual study tables that are amazing to use for studying and towards the front is the more group study/chill with friends section of the cafe. I've ordered their coffee before which is a bit too bitter for me but I just recently ordered their seasonal white chocolate raspberry matcha and omg I loved it. It tasted so similar to this one matcha I tried in Houston and have been trying to find a dupe ever since! I loved how well the white chocolate and raspberry flavors came through in this drink. So business chic! If I was still working remote, I would totally add Cocoon Coffee to my rotation. I love the vibes and that the desks face the door so you're always aware of your surroundings. Service was kind but my drink wasn't correct. It was a simple mistake, as Honey Oat latte is on the menu but I simply wanted a honey latte... either they assumed I'd want oat or they didn't listen closely when I ordered. Either way, I was bummed to not receive what I ordered. It tasted okay for a non-oat drinker. Loved the big couches to read a book while sipping. I stopped in Cocoon Coffee one day when I was out running errands. In the back half of the shop, they had desks and chairs that you may see typically in a home office. In the front half they had some high top tables and chairs, as well as a few seating areas with comfy chairs. I am not an interior designer, but the furniture and design seemed a bit mismatched, and not quite the vibe that I am looking for when I want to relax with a cup of coffee or get some work done. My first time in cinci, but staying in mason. So I chose this place because the distance was more convenient than some other higher reviewed coffee shops in cinci. Customer service was good, they were friendly and attentive. It was not busy so my coffee & bagel came out fast. I ordered the avocado bagel which was just packaged avocado, that was a let down. I think they could use fresh avocado & add more to it, like avocado toast vibes rather than just packaged avocado. That's more of a personal preference. I ordered a seasonal coffee, the s'mores latte. Presentation was 10/10 and it had actual marshmallows! Taste was 7/10. Not bad! If I came across here again I'd try something else but I don't think I'd choose to come back with all the other options in cinci & mason. This is a good place for doing work. I had a latte with almond milk. It's about $3.50 for the medium size. This is a pretty good size. It may not be the most mind blowing coffee. This is still much better than anything from the big chains, easily. Carryout is a popular option, but you should consider staying awhile. There's many chairs and tables. It's pretty quiet for the most part inside. There's lots of outlets for laptops and phones. It doesn't look like much before you get inside. It's in a strip mall, but it doesn't feel like it. I want to support this local business but each time I'm disappointed. Every time I go, the wait for a cup of coffee is crazy. This morning there were no customers inside and one car already at the window waiting for their order. I was next. After waiting over 10 minutes and no movement, I decided to leave. I understand that I don't know what the car in front of me ordered and I understand that maybe they ordered a lot. However, this had happened every time. Last time I waited over 20 minutes and didn't have the time to do that this morning. It could be they are short-staffed, but I've had this experience since they opened. Walked in today after going to the BMV and we all know you need some form of drink after that. I decided on a Mocha. I ordered a Caramel mocha, sadly they only offer in house cups with a 12 ounce cup not the large 16 ounce. Also they do not have Whip Cream how is that even possible? This is the reason for 4 stars. Now to my Mocha... it was sweet, but not overly so at least not to me, my son thought it was too sweet. But oddly he adds sugar to his coffee and milk or creamer and I normally drink it black... The young lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful in our coffee choices today. I really enjoyed the very clean location and the fun coffee related signage. I tried the 12oz lavender and vanilla latte, and was it was quite pleasant. ($4.95) Had a nice refreshing flavor to it. It also didn't have that "burnt" steamed milk taste I seem to encounter so often at many small coffee shops. They are obviously geared towards making their shop a comfortable workplace for meetings or working on your laptop etc. Priced comparably to other small coffee shops. I'll be back! read more

Wow what a great find! Decided to stop in for coffee and free internet access. After viewing the menu decided to order from the specialty selection. Ordered a Lavender Vanilla Latte and White Chocolate Raspberry Scone. The latte was delicious and definitely did not need any added sugar. The Lavender taste was different, and stands out in a good way. They do not use essential oils, but if you are in to those you would love this drink. Great that you can enjoy your coffee in a glass mug. There is nothing but positive vibes when entering the cafe. Plenty of positivity in the hanging decor and musical selection. This location encourages computer work and reading with comfortable seating, plenty of power and free WiFi. It feels like you were welcomed into their home or as the decor refers their Happy Place. I plan on returning during one of my technical certification study sessions. I would suggest to order off the specialty menu, don't be afraid to try something new. And definitely don't try to create a drink that you typically order from one of the big franchise coffee houses. Ok this is officially THE best coffee shop for working I have ever been to. I typically go to coffee shops to get my work down--not necessarily meet up with friends or have a conversation, so I absolutely LOVED this place. There are a TON of individual desk spaces (some with lamps on them ) and even a big conference room style desk and even printers. It amazes me that there's a space like this and there's not even a charge to use the different spaces. Cincinnati is known for craft beer and now there is craft coffee shop too. If I lived or worked in Mason I would be here more often. Located in an intimate strip mall in Mason, this coffee shop has your caffeine needs, your pastry fixations, and your office/weekend workspace needs. This coffee shop offers a unique feature in that you are able to rent out space for conferences/meetings, or even just for a personal workspace through the day with office Perks (printing, scanning, etc...). The perk is unlimited free fresh coffee while you are there renting the space. If you don't need a large office space there is plenty of individual tables for you to use as well. On my first visit I tried the lavender latte. This is my favorite type of latte when done right. I am not a fan of artificial flavors and really sweet coffee so I love to find a coffee shop that understands espresso and then need for natural, balanced coffee flavors. The lavender latte is refreshing and not sweet as you may have tried from other coffee shops. They roast Stumptown Coffee Roasters' beans. The bakery is also from local baker FatBen's bakery (who if you don't know his story you should look it up). If you want a quick coffee like Starbucks or McDonald's this isn't the place for you. Each coffee or latte is made to perfection with the care put into brewing or frothing the milk. There is a drive-thru and you get the same quality and customer service here as you would inside. The customer service is also what puts everything together. Knowing the owner, she does all the hiring personally and puts her employees on top, hand selecting only the best for her coffee shop. She also does all the training herself to ensure the best barista practices are followed. The space is huge and very well lit. The large windows allow for tons of light to come in so you can enjoy a good book or get some work done on your lap top. If you're looking for a new mind evoking book to pick up, there are tons of books around (mainly business or biography type books) for you to enjoy. Honestly the hours here suck, on weekdays they are only open till4 and on weekends only till 2. I'm not sure who their main clientele is for, but for college students and normal working staff, these hours aren't it. The atmosphere is amazing, and I can be so productive here. If you're an espresso junkie like me, you've got to try this place! I make it a point to visit the best coffee shops in every city I visit and despite their random suburban location, this one is among, if not The, best espresso pull I've had. And I love the shop. It is so far from the urban chic decor with which I'm accustomed when I visit quality coffee shops. This one feels like it was decorated on a somewhat limited budget, but it's homie and warm and reminds me of a place I would have loved to hang out at in high school.
