Wanted to try something new in West Chester instead of Starbucks, Dunkin', or Tim Hortons. Cavu seemed to be the best option given reviews and milk alternatives. We ordered 5 drinks, and no one in the group liked their drink unfortunately. Not sure if anyone even finished theirs either. One person also got a sandwich and said it wasn't very good. The drinks were all way way too sweet, which is unusual for small coffee shops typically. The sandwich was dry and had no condiments available for it. The store was very cute and had a lovely aesthetic. The employees were super nice, lots of tea and beans to choose from, various merchandise, and more. I was really excited about the place and was sad with the outcome. May try again and just ask for the drink with 1/2 sweetness or even 1/4 maybe. read more

Such a lovely coffee/tea/food shop located right off of Tylersville very near 75 and VOA shopping center. Cavu specializes in no preservatives, no artificial flavors or sweeteners. They have a loyalty program card of buy 12 drinks, get one free. The decor in this shop makes me want to sit down and stay, but my 2 experiences here have been on the run. Handwritten chalkboard menu offers multitudes of options- including meal items. I'm a tea fan (rather than coffee) and was very satisfied with the variety of tea-based options available. Raspberry lemonade tasted fresh and delicious along with The Charlie (ham and salami sandwich). It's a warm spring day in Cincy, so my sister and I felt like getting a good iced latte. We wanted a local/indie shop and did some Yelp searching to see what was in the area (ish). Cavu had 4.5 stars so we decided to give them a try. The descriptions on the menu all sounded wonderful, interesting flavor combinations, etc. I ordered an iced Masala Chai with vanilla, my sister ordered an iced Kitty Kat latte. The service was friendly and our drinks were ready quickly. That's where the 2 stars are from. Now for the drinks...they were shockingly BLAND. My sister and I each took a sip and couldn't do anything but laugh. With one sip we realized that we had wasted a trip and wasted our money. The drinks were underwhelming and watery at best. Cavu's made-in-house syrups didn't add a whisper of flavor, unfortunately. Pricing was the final straw. $13 for two medium (16oz w/ice) drinks that we ended up pouring down the drain. In summary: Overpriced. Underwhelming. I definitely won't be back, and wouldn't recommend. You can get a more flavorful cup from a vending machine. read more

Cavu is one of my favorite local coffee shops! I've enjoyed everything I've tried, but my favorite drink is their seasonal lavender latte. Definitely recommend trying it if you like lavender coffees! I love that their syrups are made in house. The atmosphere and interior is nice, but could definitely use some more seating. I've been to Cavu Coffee 2 or 3 times and I've always come away caffeinated and happy. You know what good coffee tastes like and this place has it. The focus of my review is actually about their honesty. I visited Cavu with my staff on a team-building day in the middle of COVID. There were 10 of us in an afternoon looking to get our drinks and enjoy outside so we could have a chance to bond, but socially-distanced. My team placed their orders and the two guys working got to work fulfilling all of the drink requests. I placed my last and received it last, but as I was getting it, one of the guys (possibly the owner) called me over and admitted they charged us for an extra drink accidentally. They didn't just make it and assume, accuse, or anything. Because of the sheer number or drinks, I probably wouldn't have even noticed it. He refunded us for the drink and gave a couple of Free Drink cards to use for a future visit. That's some exemplary customer service right there. I know who to go to for coffee when I'm in the area and I know they're going to make a tasty drink and treat me right. read more

A great little place to wake up in Mason! The Affogato is more a morning treat that could wake you up, it's homemade ice cream giving you all those feelings of home with each crunch of the ice chips embedded. The espresso providing a deep profile of flavor to contrast the smoothness of the vanilla. Overall, a wonderful thing to have! My son's cocoa was something special, the Cavu Special Hot Chocolate specifically. A blend of dark and white chocolate with a thick caramel sauce added for good measure. I had to have a hot cup of Sumatran bean water as well, it was very satisfying for a self-proclaimed coffee snob. I will state what others have stated, the small is what might be considered "mini" sized at 8 oz. We could all do with better quality and lesser quantity in our lives. The atmosphere is very corporate coffeehouse, but that's not necessarily a terrible thing. The aircraft props and iconography is not unpleasant, but I'm biased due to that being associated with my profession. Literally one of my favorite coffee shops - I've been going here since they opened my senior year of high school! The owners and the baristas are incredibly kind. What makes Cavu unique is that all of their sauces and syrups are made in house. They even make the ice cream for the blended drinks. They have a drive thru window as well which makes it super easy to stop by! I absolutely love their butterscotch latte. They also do a great caramel latte and I get pink sea salt on top. For non coffee drinkers, their London Fog is top notch and my mom loves their masala chai. They just started their pumpkin drinks so I will be back soon to try. read more

This place is adorable. Have come here twice to kill a bit of time on weekday afternoon/evenings and grab a bite, and have been super happy both times. They have an ultra comfy couch, along with some armchairs, regular table/chairs, and counter seating. I imagine it's packed on weekends, but I've been here during the week and there's been plenty of available seating. I got the pumpkin bread and cider this time, and both were winners. Would 5/5 order either again (especially the cider! Yum), and I will definitely be back the next time I've got an hour or two to kill and want to study/read. Staff was friendly too. Bonus: they're decorated for the holidays right now, which sends the cuteness factor over the top - wreaths, stockings, tree with ornaments, you name it. read more

Good coffee place in West Chester. It's one of the few that's not a chain. That automatically makes it my favorite in town. A big selection of coffee and drinks. Prices are okay. It certainly is better than going to a chain. It's an independent and locally owned business. The coffee drinks are unique. It was hard to choose. There's so many that sound good. I had a cinnamon vanilla latte with almond. This is about $5 for a medium. It has some items that aren't so common. They have macadamia milk, among other milks and seasonings. It overall is pretty good. Better than expected considering it's in a strip mall. There's a Starbucks across the street so they have competition pushing them. read more

Really great coffee, I drink mine all black, and you can taste the distinct flavors of every region. Every day they have a light and a dark roast, and I usually get both. If you want breakfast, they have a sandwich, called the heads start with eggs, bacon, and a buttery croissant, which is amazing as well. Small local owned company and the coffee is way better than any Starbucks even the Starbucks reserve cannot touch the beans that they sauce. Stopped in for coffee only and was not disappointed. The oat milk iced caramel latte had homemade caramel and homemade oat milk so it didn't taste like anything I've had before. Oat milk is def a little oat-y but it was very good. Also had the Irish cream iced latte with whole milk and it was even better. Tasted almost like a liquid candy bar but not as sweet and very refreshing. The staff answered all my questions and was very patient even though a line was forming. 10/10 read more

When I was pregnant one of the things I craved was the vanilla latte from here. Needless to say I hit up their drive through a couple times a week and was always satisfied. The syrups are made in house. It's a small business. They have cool seasonal drinks. The employees are always so nice. After reading on Yelp that Cavu was kid-friendly, I suggested my friend and his two kids meet me here. Well, as soon as I arrived with my wife and kids, I realized it wouldn't work. The shop does have some toys. But all of the patrons were working on their laptops, which made us feel awful due to our kids' noise. And the space was pretty cramped for a group our size -- three adults, four kids. So we left pretty shortly after getting our order. As for the food and drinks, the London Fog latte was awesome. Really delicious. Not too sweet, but plenty flavorful. On the other hand, the cookies we bought to quiet our kids were just okay. In short, Cavu is a great spot to drink, work, and relax. But it isn't family friendly, and the food wasn't great, based on our small sample size. read more

Cavu always does an amazing job with their coffees and customer service. They have a rotating seasonal menu (hot apple cider is my favorite!). They use their own syrups to flavor their lattes and mochas. Their staff is so helpful when making choices and answering questions about coffees and the other items they sell. Review update with five stars. Visited twice recently and had great experiences both times. Saturday morning while waiting on the dog to finish at the groomers nearby, I came here to jump on the WiFi and get some caffeine. Enjoyed an iced butterscotch latte and a croissant breakfast sandwich. The latte was unique, prepared with an in-house made butterscotch. The sandwich was ok, though served warmed and flat as if prepared in a panini. Thursday morning during what was probably the weekday rush, but still a quick in an out. There is a drive-through but for each visit I was inside. Ordered quickly, paid with the square integrated register. This time I tried the fruit and granola parfait. Part of the parfait is pre assembled for convenience, but they did keep the granola in a separate small container to maintain its crispy crunch. Again went with a cold coffee. Large Vanilla Iced Latte which really delivered the caffeine I needed for the day. Clean comfortable seating inside, seasonal outdoor seating, drive through and friendly fast service. read more

The CAVU CUBANO is reason enough to visit this wonderful coffee joint just a few short steps from a Starbucks. Cavu has MUCH better coffee, however, and a more interesting selection of coffee beverages. My husband and I both ordered the Cavu Cubano, as well as an espresso shot so we could taste the quality of the espresso without dilution. The espresso was excellent, with a rich taste and consistency. The Cubano is not what I associate with a standard Cubano, since it has steamed milk along with the sweetness the drink is known for. Regardless, it is delicious and I'll order it every time I come here. So bypass the chain and spend some time here. You won't regret it. read more

I remember when Cavu was a Caribou Coffee. I used to come here all the time. Cavu didn't fill my heart the same way Caribou did. It's a lovely place. The employees are always charming. The drink rotation is interesting. The tea choices are more diverse than most places. You can even sniff them! I am extremely excited that Cavu carries PaleoPrimal Sweets. I saw this in another review and was pretty excited. Gluten free, dairy free, free of everything treats are hard to find. It's actually a pretty great place. Lots of parking. Close to the hospital. Some soft seats and table work spaces. I bought vanilla extract that they make at the store. That's amazing! I'm just nostalgic. It's not their fault. read more

This is a great coffee shop. It's got a super laid back vibe and a small seating area. The decor here is very chic, white, teal and chalkboard paint with globes scattered around the interior. The menu is entirely written on chalkboard and is quite addorable. The staff here was very friendly and answered all of our questions when we arrived. After our inquisitive questions were answered we decided on a iced honey latte and an iced house made caramel latte with almond milk. Their honey latte includes cinnamon which was a great choice and very delicious. The house made caramel latte was so so good and included orange zest. This was a fantastic drink and my favorite. This coffee shop has a great vibe and relaxing atmosphere. I will certainly return when I'm in the area. read more

I love Cavu! The barista's here are always so nice! They are quite knowledgeable and always willing to offer suggestions. Their menu consists of standard assortment of drinks ranging coffees/lattes/mocha/teas/ and flavored sparkling drinks! My favorite this summer has been the Ice Honey Latte! And as the season changes, so does their menu which is pretty cool! I've yet to try the new fall items but I can't help but think they'll be quite good..Cavu has not failed me yet. I love Cavu because it's a coffee shoppe that's home-brewed and close to where I live. I'm not a coffee snob so I really can't say how good I think the coffee is, but there are little things that this place does right: 1. Trivia of the day for a discount on your purchase (usually 10%) 2. Kitchy, cute interior decor 3. Mugs for those that stay a while 4. Small, delectable desserts (usual cafe fare) 5. Super knowledgeable staff who are always up for recommendations 6. They stay open relatively late for its suburban location 7. They open super early! 8. Bottomless coffee for $4.00 option The only thing that I don't love is that the music tends to be a little loud and while the interior is nice, it's just slightly too "open" and doesn't have the cozy vibe that I generally associate coffee shoppes with (meaning there can be a lot of sound bouncing, but it's not too terrible!). They have added more cushioned seating and are constantly improving, with lunch menu options and a bigger and bigger menu. Other than that, their coffee is definitely legit and brewed well. I definitely feel the caffeine from this place and it's smooth, strong, and smells lovely. They also have a 10 purchase punch card! If you're on the way up north or coming down south, definitely stop by this place. They're conveniently located near the highway so it's never too far out of the way :) read more

1st Visit, Never Again! This place was disappointing from the moment I walked in. First of all, I wasn't greeted upon walking in. If this company can't at the very least welcome their customers then they don't need our business to begin with! Second, upon informing the Barista it was my 1st time there she offered no explanation of the Menu or Stamp Club. Third, it makes zero sense to me why this place uses all stark white cups for to go orders?! For what they charge, ($4 for a Kiddie Cup size of Coffee that I drank in less than 5 sips) they should be able to afford advertising on their disposable cups. Fourth, I ordered the Steel Cut Oatmeal and the Barista got a full upper body workout trying to stir it! I was completely turned off watching her dump a large amount of water into the Oatmeal just to be able to spoon it into my bowl. I should've at that point declined the food and gotten my money back, but I would've been late to work getting Breakfast from somewhere else. Upon arriving to my job, I had to add more water to the Oatmeal! It was so thick it broke the plastic spoon in half! Fifth, Their Stamp Club uses an Ink Stamp that still wasn't dry by the time I left the establishment. Whose going to put that card in their Purse or Wallet for the Ink to get everywhere?! Have a Metal Punch like every other Business! To the Manager reading this: If you're going to have kids run the register, teach them the value of Customer Service skills! Love that they have so many gluten free goodies and sugar-free syrups that don't taste like chemicals. Their strong suit is definitely their flavored drinks as all of the flavors are made in house. We ended up getting some cookies for the kids, and they were just okay. To note, this place isn't kid friendly. While there was a box of toys, there are too many people working with laptops for kids to really feel welcome. Maybe it's different on a weekend, but on a weekday morning, it wasn't great. However it looks like a great place to get work done (if there aren't kids running around), and I would like to try more drinks from this place. read more
