Naturally it only made sense to upgrade the factory wheels with a type that appealed more to my taste. I asked the BMW service center for a quote. The run flat tire price blew my mind. I didn't realize run flats cost almost twice as much as regular tires. So like most people I shopped around. I looked at online stores, local tire shops, and asked co-workers/ friend. This is what I found: 1. By far BMW service center had the highest cost. 2. Online store prices seem to be the least costly. However, once you add all of the associated cost (e.g. shipping, installation) the price difference between the online stores and local tire shops in most cases is less than $50. Also when buying online you run the risk of getting a defective, refurbished, or wrong type and then have to go thru the nightmare of shipping it back.... 3. Most local tire shops in Dade and Broward are franchised or crooks. Which usually means the customer service is horrible, the staff just tries to sell you whatever tire they have in stock, and worst of all you run the risk of having an inexperienced, underpaid, overworked mechanic do a bad install job. Then go thru the headache of taking the car back to fix it. 4. Fortunately, I was referred by a friend to CB Wheels. From start to finish the entire experience was exceptional and effortless. It seemed as if all of the staff were car enthusiasts. They took the time to explain the pros and cons of different types of tires and wheels, and gave me a price that was the same as the online stores, what more could I ask for....Upon bringing the car to their shop I was greeted as if I was visiting a friend's house for dinner. While waiting for the car to be finished I had a great conversation with some of the staff, and never once felt uncomfortable. Before I knew it my car was ready. The conversation made the time fly. I was in need of truck accessories and stumbled upon CB Wheels. They are well outfitted with "everything truck", courteous, professional, provide timely service, and most important of all HONEST. I will use them for all my truck wants & needs. On two occasions they could have easily charged me for services that I did not need; 1) Tire pressure sensors were not working, & 2) Patching tires. On item 1 they could have easily charged me for tire sensors as I would have had no real way of knowing whether they replaced them or not. Instead they figured out how to re-program the existing sensors and did so while I was having the tires rotated at no charge. That honesty earned them a loyal customer. 2) Since then I have gone in to drop off a truck to repair a nail in the tire and have the tires rotated. They only patch tires, no plugs at CB, and informed me the nail did not penetrate the tire and no charge. A less scrupulous outfit could have easily charged me for a patch and I would have never been the wiser. This place is first class if you have aftermarket rims/ tires. Have a new F150 that came lifted from the dealer. Went to factory dealer in the South (without mentioning any names) for service and figured out quickly they are not equipped to do a proper alignment / rotation on these type of rims/wheels. They actually said they performed the the work but never asked me for the wheel locks plus I had marked one of the tires and noticed it was still in the same spot. Take it to CB after some recommendations and night and day experience. They actually take it for a spin around the block before the service to determine how bad the misalignment is (in my case it was too unstable to go over 60 mph on the highway). They put it on the lift and have the equipment to do their thing which is rims. After the service they take it for a spin around the block. I pay and they give me a military discount because they see my license plate. Thank me for my service. (Appreciate that) I drive off and truck drives better then when I purchased it. Tried this place based on positive Yelp reviews after being taken for a ride by the SoMi Tire Kingdom last weekend. I figured a smaller place like CB lives and dies by customer service, not brand name, and was worth a shot. Walking in on Black Friday morning, I got a courteous greeting from Jay and a quick, honest appraisal from Danny, who seems to know absolutely everything there is to know about cars. He told me I did not yet need another pair of tires (after I had already bought two from TK, which had done a full-court press to sell me four tires when I came in with a minor problem and tires with plenty of tread left--and sent me off with my tires wobbling, vibrating, and roaring, apparently to lure me back for the other two). Danny and his team simply rotated and balanced my tires, assured me they would be fine for awhile, and charged me a nominal fee. I am very impressed and will certainly be back. Found this shop while looking for someone with the right alignment equipment & haven't been anywhere else since. I have decades of mechanical knowledge & go through mechanics like 'underwear', but since I discovered Danny & Juan at 'CB' I refuse to get work done anywhere else. These guys are the most honest & reasonable around. They always go the extra mile & make sure to explain their diagnosis, the parts involved & labour cost. The labour is relatively inexpensive considering the high quality of work. I have never gotten an estimate that was unreasonable & never paid more than the estimate (never had cost overruns). I have paid less than the estimate a couple times, when they could save me money without compromising quality & their high standards. Thanks 'CB' for taking such good care of all 3 of my vehicles. I lived in Miami for the past 15 years and I tirelessly look for a place where they can repair my vehicles without ripping me off, it took me several years to find CB wheels I have been to several mechanics with one specific car problem after they took my money the repair was not completed it wasn't until I went to CB wheels that they finally figure out the problem with my car and they repaired it. CB wheels really took care of me. I was recommended by multiple people which made me feel great knowing how satisfied they were. I got there and Juan brought me right in. My truck was shaking bad at 60mph and needed new tires. Juan said he would take care of it and i'd be amazed by how it rode when I got back. (Most shops had a long wait where my truck would be sitting multiple days, but Juan got me in and out the same day...) He was right I was shocked that truck rode the way it did. A whole new front end rebuild, and brand new tires he recommended took took away the shake and loud noise. Let me start by saying if you live in Miami, customer service at times feels like a myth. Almost non existent, This establishment however exceeded all expectations. After visiting a few stores with in the area I finally had the pleasure of talking with Karim and after explaining the mods, looks etc I was going for, I had decided to leave my car in their hands. Karim told me the car would be ready before close of business, unfortunately, there were some unforeseen issues. However this did not phase the team at CB wheels. Best shop in town hands down. Let me start by saying I'm not easily impressed but Juan and his crew (Danny and Andy) exceeded my expectations. Juan being ex military carries himself with extreme professionalism. The guy is honest and fair. He calls it how it is. Which these days is very hard to find. I did a 6 inch lift on my Tundra. Along with with 20 INch rims and 35 inch tires. I couldn't be happier with my truck and my service. It was a true pleasure to find a shop with great equipment and technicians that were trained and experienced in how to use it. I was in need of road force balancing for my Ford Excursion with 20" wheels and had been to two other shops that were a disaster using the balancer. Giving you the peace of mind that your ride is in good hands the whole time. Jaun and his crew are the absolute best!!!!! They are Honest, kind, and do excellent work. I am new to the area and not knowing where to go, I originally took my porsche to the dealership for an oil change. While my car was there they told me my car neeed 4800 dollars worth of work. Extremely satisfied all the way around with these guys! I came in looking for a tire and wheel package and these guys took the time to help me find something that was WITHIN my budget. There was no attempt on the their part to make me feel like I needed something "nicer" or "better" - I just didn't get a scammy or up-sell type vibe here like other places. Just some recommendations from them but that was it. The wheels took about a month to get to the shop but they got in exactly when I was told they would arrive and my car was ready within 3 hours (I believe less) on my appointment date.
