We originally called Tire Kingdom, but they told us the slime is too difficult to clean out of the tire and we'd need a new tire. Though we had a great experience with them in the past, it seemed they were just trying to sell us a tire. So we called this place in the morning when they opened. They're only a mile from our house. They said they could easily patch the tire and even said they could do it right away! My husband took the car in, and with the drive there and back and the service, he was still back home in maybe 20 minutes, and the price was super reasonable! I agreed to the price and was told to come back the following Saturday. When I returned, Mr. Acosta said he didn't have the correct tint but told me not to worry because he would purchase it on Monday and asked me to come back today. When I showed up today, I was given yet another excuse this time involving the tint paper. He then claimed he was "trying to help" by calling his son, who quoted me 100% more than the original agreed price. This experience felt dishonest and very unprofessional. I wasted multiple trips and time based on commitments that were not honored. It honestly seemed like he no longer wanted to deal with my car because the job would take too long, instead of just being upfront about it. In all transparency, I was quoted a different price via Yelp than what the front desk charged me (I specified what make and model my car was both times). That should have been the first red flag. Secondly, after the service was completed, no paperwork or report was given to me, nor did any one tell me any information about warranties. After having the alignment done, I later had an appointment a few weeks later for something separate at my Mercedes Benz service center, with an advisor I have trusted for years. His tech questioned whether an alignment was performed, and did not believe the alignment had been done, and asked me to get a alignment report from the company to verify. I contacted Mr. Goma (which took several email attempts and phone calls) and the person who answered the phone was a bit rude and unhelpful. They would not provide the report, and asked me to come in person. I felt uncomfortable dealing with this business (as many of us women know that some mechanic shops take advantage us), so I asked my husband and my father-in-law to go to the shop to speak with them in person. They were told every excuse under the sun, that reports cannot be pulled up after the day they were performed, they need to be requested before the service, and when they asked to speak with the mechanic who did the alignment, they waited over an hour, and then were told the person no longer works there. The entire experience was distasteful. Ultimately, I had Mercedes re-do the alignment (and paid 2x for the same service), to know it was done correctly. They provided the report. I later disputed the charge through Amex, and I was shocked that Mr. Goma came back, and disputed the reversal themselves, saying that no one came into the shop to speak with someone? I was astonished. The reason I started writing Yelp reviews over a decade ago was to honestly inform the public of my experiences at companies, good or bad (and hopefully save someone the trouble of what I had to go through). Moral of the story, do your due diligence before coming in for alignments at new shops. Ask for reports ahead of time, be clear about warranty timeframes, etc. I really wish I didn't select this business to save a buck, because it ultimately cost twice in the long run to have it done correctly with a lot of headache.

My 18-year-old sister had just parked the car, and she and my 10-year-old sister were only steps away from it--barely two minutes after turning the engine off. We are beyond grateful that they survived, because this could have easily become a tragedy that claimed two young lives. Instead of showing concern or accepting any responsibility, the manager refused to even reimburse my sister for the $220 she paid in labor. She wasn't demanding the value of the vehicle or the cost of the parts. She simply asked for the labor she had already paid for after losing the very first car she had worked so hard to buy. No amount of money can replace a human life. Businesses make mistakes, but how they respond when something catastrophic happens says everything about their character. In our experience, there was no accountability, no compassion, and no willingness to help after an incident that could have ended in unimaginable loss. If you value your vehicle and, more importantly, the safety of yourself and your loved ones, I strongly encourage you to think carefully before trusting this establishment with your car. I called A&J's to confirm that they would be able to do the work I was requesting. They said yes they would be more than happy to. Service request was removing old wheels and the tires air sensor. Then replace the sensors on the new wheels with new tires. A&J's gave me the cost of the work with new tires and it was way below the other competitors! If you need to replace tires give A&J a call they have a range of tire options at a reasonable price point. Thank you A&J
