After loan approval, it took 14 days to schedule the notary public signing. Several days for them to receive back the paperwork. Then another 14 days to schedule delivery of the vehicle. Another 7-8 days for it to arrive. Once arrived a third party company, Executive Tag & Title Svcs., that holds the title for the finance company, sent a message saying they would take care of getting the vehicle registered. I was not informed by the dealership of this process. I called Executive Tag & Title Svcs. company, to ask a question on the same day that they reached out. Their representative did not reply for another three weeks. On November 3rd the Oregon temporary tags expired, so I was able to get a 30 day moving permit from the Nevada DMV. That temp permit expired on December 3rd. Then after submitting the requested documents, they submitted my document packet to the Nevada DMV. It has taken another 8 weeks for the DMV to issue registration and license plates on December 30, 2025. But Executive Tag & Title Svcs. company had the registration package sent to the dealership in Oregon "at the request of the dealership". So as of today the vehicle still does not have license plates. In the meantime the vehicle was issued a citation of $75 for not having up to date registration by local authorities. Because the vehicle is titled under my company name, I had to get commercial insurance before applying for registration, which costs more than $400 per month. So the vehicle has been sitting idle in front of my house for the last two months, while I'm out of $800 in insurance costs, and two monthly loan payments amounting to nearly $2k. I can not recommend this company.

In the late 1880's industrialist Henry Flagler built the Florida East Coast Railway. A gritty forty acre warehouse area developed facing the railway in the 1920's. These warehouses served as a central hub for railway trade near the Good Samaritan Medical Center. Beginning in 2018, investors began buying up the old warehouses, boarded-up properties and vacant sites in this area located just north of downtown West Palm Beach. They designed the district around North Railroad Avenue, the area's western boundary and the district's designated Main Street. A billion dollar complex of sleek, modern buildings for retail, restaurants, residences, and offices was then constructed. Lining the district's sidewalks are railroad ties, a nod to the nearby railway that brought business and tourists to South Florida. Not everything is open but there was enough to peak my interest. Parking was free which I love. I browsed the art at Carousel Fine Art, ate at Juliana's Pizza, and had ice cream at Van Leeuwen. NORA has a few beauty and wellness services and I want to come back for breakfast at the Sunday Motor Co. Cafe. In the fall of this year the 201-room Nora Hotel is set to open with a rooftop pool and bar. An 11-story, 350-unit apartment complex along 10th Street at North Railroad Avenue is also being constructed. This is a cool area that as it develops is worth keeping an eye on.

My experience with…read moreSupervisor Bethany Hankin was one of the most degrading customer service interactions I have ever experienced, and it left me questioning whether I was treated this way because I am a Black woman. As a nursing student preparing for the NCLEX, I drove to this library specifically to study in a quiet environment. Instead of leaving feeling supported by a public institution, I left feeling emotionally shaken, embarrassed, and deeply hurt. The issue began because library staff made an error when booking my study room. Rather than acknowledging or attempting to resolve the mistake professionally, Bethany immediately approached me with hostility and aggression. I remained calm and respectfully tried to explain the situation, yet she spoke to me in a confrontational manner, discussed me within earshot of other patrons, and publicly embarrassed me over an error that was not mine. The most disturbing part of this interaction was Bethany's decision to threaten to call security on me while I was calmly trying to explain what had happened. At no point was I disruptive, threatening, or disrespectful. Being threatened with security simply for attempting to resolve a staff mistake was frightening, humiliating, and completely unnecessary. As a Black professional, I cannot ignore how this interaction made me feel. I left believing that I was treated differently because of my race. Whether intentional or not, the hostility, intimidation, and lack of respect I experienced were unlike anything I have encountered in a customer service setting. A supervisor should lead with professionalism, empathy, and conflict resolution--not intimidation, public humiliation, and escalation. Bethany's conduct reflected a complete failure in customer service and de-escalation. Her behavior was not only unprofessional but also damaging to the welcoming environment that every public library should provide. Because of this experience, I will never return to this library. I sincerely hope library administration conducts a thorough investigation, reviews any available security footage, speaks with witnesses and staff members, and provides Bethany with substantial coaching in customer service, de-escalation, implicit bias, and respectful communication. No patron should ever leave a public library feeling degraded, singled out, or afraid simply because they tried to discuss a mistake made by staff. This experience is something I will not soon forget, and I hope the library takes meaningful action to ensure no one else is made to feel the way I did.
