I have had a good experience at cCare. My Oncologists is Dr Frakes, I understand what the other reviews are saying, however for me I really appreciate her directness and no fuss attitude. Could she spend a few more minutes with you, sure, but when my treatment had some bumps on the road and my cancer took a couple of turns, she was very quick to jump in, and was relentless in finding a treatment, scheduling appointments, follow up until confident on how to proceed. As far as the staff, the front desk and support staff is always sweet, the nurse staff is great and manages multiple patients with grace and care (Olivia is amazing), the RN's are smart, thorough and instill confidence. One person that is a stand out is Lenzy Rubi, I did the cold cap which was challenging and she was incredible in how she handled the prep, cap and treatment. What really makes her special is her attitude, she really shows the CARE in cCARE. You can tell she is not on auto pilot, she goes above and beyond and truly does care for the patients, she is professional, kind, funny, every visit wanting ensure comfort and care. The deduction of one star is because the hold time is too long when you call and I feel there should be some soft ambient music in the treatment room. read more

I have been trying to make an appointment for more than 2 weeks. They always told me they will call me back but they never call me back so my last call is operator ask me if i want to be on hold or they can call me back again lol i choose to be on hold to make sure i speak with somebody then i waited for more than 30 mins when it's my turn to talk to Tamia suddenly i am being transferred to automatic answering machine.i called the operator again and i waited another 30 mins and hang up. I will give them zero stars if there is option for that so 1 star is the lowest i can pick. read more

I went to Dr. Laurie Frakes she was just quick & to the point. Until u didn't want to do something that u tried multiple times. By different drug companies. She told me she would never treat me when I had a really bad reoccurrence of my breast cancer. She is never on time & absolutely shows know feeling. Her way or the high way. I've gone to other's in cCARE and they were great. Stay away from Dr. Frakes if ur looking for compassion & a listener. She smart but other then that.., stand up for what u believe in. It's ur choice the rest is just protocol. U don't have to do it if it doesn't feel right. You should want someone who will find a better option like I did. Get margin tested every 3 months better then being sick everyday for 10 years & finding out they still don't know how effect the drugs r. Just to echo what a lot of other folks have said- the office staff are awful at communication. And even my doctor was not great at it. I left messages twice for my doctor's assistant asking important and time sensitive medicine and side effect questions, and never heard back. Called the main office today and they promised to call me back after asking the assistant directly- and still never heard back. They have an online portal where you can submit messages to your doctor - but don't bother because the office staff told me they don't look at those. My first visit to their office I waited in the exam room for almost 40 minutes (I think) until doctor came in. Other visits haven't been nearly as bad but I always feel like they're running behind. Visits feel very short and rushed. My doctor is unreachable outside of visits (see above) which is really unacceptable given the territory. He didn't even realize he had never prescribed me meds (and I was running out of it from my hospital discharge). After my next (and final) checkup, I'm going to look elsewhere if I ever need this type of medical service again. read more

I am a huge fan of Dr. Bessudo and all of the staff at Ccare! Everyone has been extraordinarily kind, caring, and thoughtful throughout my entire cancer journey. I was referred to Dr. Bessudo by an ER Doctor; Dr. Bessudo saw me the next day and personally called and had, me scheduled for a colonoscopy the day after that. When you are told you have cancer, you want a team with a sense of urgency, Dr. Bessudo made me feel like I was in expert hands he has seen me through 7 rounds of Chemo followed by Cytoreductive surgery and 6 more rounds of Chemo and immunotherapy. Dr. Bessudo referred me to the team at USCD where my surgery was performed by one of the most qualified surgeons in the US. Ccare's nursing staff is second to none! They will make you feel like you are their most important patient; I will always be enormously grateful for the care I received from the team in the infusion center. read more

I am currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer at C-care. From the moment I walked in I felt completely seen, heard, and completely cared for. They have treated me not just like a number, but as a patient with individual needs. From the intake staff, the nurses and Dr. Laurie Frakes I know I am in the best possible hands. The nurses like Marty, Stephanie, Jane, Allyona, Maddie, Daisy, Maria, Lindsey, Rachel, and all of the rest of the staff have always given me 100% optimum care. Whether they see me in person, over telemedicine calls, on the phone or by email I always receive timely responses and quality feedback. Even on the occasions when I've had to call the after hours line, the on call doctor helped me through my situation with care and helped me resolve my problem easily! They were able to schedule my first chemotherapy treatment with a friend receiving an infusion on the same day so I wasn't so alone during my first chemo. This is a challenging time for patients with strict covid regulations and lots of red tape, C-care has managed to make me feel like a person and not just a masked patient. They make me feel at home at each visit and make going to see the oncologist not as scary as I thought it would be! I leave smiling and they say goodbye to me, by my name. Even Sam at the front desk tells me goodbye and to have a wonderful weekend. They are truly a blessing to me and a Godsend in this scary time of my life. I'm so blessed to have C-care as my oncology office and recommend Dr. Laurie Frakes and her team to anyone looking for top quality treatment during cancer. No wonder they only have 2 stars that is generous. I have been trying to three days to schedule an appointment - no luck going elsewhere...

I took my mom there for a follow up due to my mom stating that she felt like the doctor wasn't understanding her or helping her when she would come on her own. I decided to start coming since she felt like she was being discriminated and maybe because she speaks Spanish and she didn't understand what she meant. A patient that speaks a second language should also be feeling welcomed and cared too even if the doctor doesn't speak Spanish. Dr Frakes rushed thru the appointment even though she was super late with us! My mom didn't feel comfortable or felt important, I understand she has a lot of patients but if she no longer wants any new ones or has the time then please don't add anymore. Us as patient need to feel like we can trust our doctors but with Dr Frakes we didn't experience that. She was so rude, uncaring, and seemed like we didn't matter. If we would have stayed with her I have no ideas how my moms health or her care would have turned out. Staff was very nice front desk amazing and MAs and NPs to bad they have a horrible doctor. She shouldn't even be a doctor at all! Would have been nice to have a better and nicer doctor. read more

I found and omission in my medical record - of a positive scan(Feb 2014) that was never documented in notes by my oncologist (Dr Eisenberg) as of Sept 3rd 2014 he hid these results from me.. In July I had another scan (requested by me) !!! showed positive nodes. By July they were bigger and brighter. In JULY he finally called me to get treated because the radiologist called him to discuss which node to biopsy. after canceling my July appointment (the doctor cancelled it) the Dr never told me that I had a positive scan in February He made me wait until August to get and appointment. Therefore no interval review was ever done on the February to July scans for interval change The medical record in August had no mention of previous February scan. I found out by accident when I got a copy of my medical record for a second opinion. When I asked him about why he never informed me of my February scan results,during March, April, May, June, July, or August - he blamed me and told me it was my responsibility to get the results The nurse practitioner stood by in the room and told me the standard of care was that I was responsible to get my results. If I never came in they never had to call me. Perfectly acceptable done all the time and applied to all of their patients This business is now called cCARE and the CEO is Troy Simon Unprofessional and actually life threatening care. read more

If you plan in staying alive throughout your cancer treatment please go somewhere else. If you do plan on using Ccare plan on fighting the staff tooth and nail for any form of patient care. The one star reviews posted about Ccare before my comments are so true. "The employees who work at this Doctor's office are awful. They do not follow up, they do not return phone calls, they are NOT helpful, they act like you are putting THEM out, they are rude, they do not work on your case unless you call and bug them, and they make excuses." read more

Dr. McClay is the BEST which is why I remain with the practice. I don't know if the practice is too large for those who are supposed to manage it but getting information is nearly impossible and follow through with tests, etc. ordered by the Dr. seem to be taken very lightly. Calls to various individuals are not always returned. When raching someone they always have an excuse for why it has taken weeks to implement the Dr.'s orders. The management end of this center is sorely lacking and could use a real overhaul if it is to provide treatment for seriously ill patients. read more
