Maxon Paving offered us a very reasonable price compared to other competitors including a 1 year warranty. Jeff was very professional on the phone and when coming in person to survey the area. After researching and reading many great reviews, we decided to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, on the day of our project, the forecast predicted rain. Jeff was very flexible in rescheduling for a different time. Jeff and his team arrived promptly in the morning. We confirmed what we wanted for our patio. Him and his team got to working. In less than a day, they removed debris, rocks, and sand with the tractor to level the ground. They installed rebar and were able to cut the bottom step of the stairs and dispose of it for free. Jeff and his team poured mixed cement and gave the patio a clean brushed finish. The process went really smoothly and clean up was very tidy. We are very happy with the result! It was better than what we have pictured. It is worth the investment and we look forward to using our new patio!

While that was an unwelcome surprise, I felt extremely fortunate that Corneliu was the one who discovered and ultimately fixed the problem. This issue was neglected by another contractor who had done siding work previously for me. Corneliu fixed everything the RIGHT WAY at a very fair price and worked as late as 7:30pm, long after the sun had gone down, to ensure everything was done before the next storm rolled in. We wanted a door installed in the interior of our home. Cornel arrived, measured the space, explained the different styles, asking what we'd like. Then he went to the hardware store himself, took photos of all of the options that fit our criteria, and texted us the options so we could choose, saving me time from having to go to the store myself. He also went above and beyond by offering to fix the opposite side of the door frame, which was ugly before the project started. We didn't even think it was an option to fix that. Cornel installed the door, painted it, and fixed the trim on both sides, on the same day. The final result is absolutely perfect. It's beautiful, and the quality is stellar. We will certainly be using Smart Construction again in the future for home projects that we can't do ourselves.

We're so pleased with the results of their work! The bid was thorough and competitive, but it was pictures of their past work that sold us. We are so happy with this company; they even added topsoil and bark dust, as well as gravel, in places where it was needed after the shape of the patio and driveway were slightly altered. They left a turn key project. It was a big job to demolish our 47x21 driveway and our back patio. Miguel saved us money by suggesting they overlay our two sets of poorly done steps rather than demolish them. We now have beautiful, even steps that are much safer to use. After removing the concrete, replacing the rotted wood, he built us a small deck area which gives us larger lateral space as a door step compared to the small concrete step. A marked improvement over just the moisture fix and rot repair. This was a pretty significant job and our home is very unique in structure which created many challenges. You get a fly-by-night crew messing up your concrete, and there's no easy solution. I got three bids on my patio. Sione's was the most expensive. But in the walk-thru, Paul noticed things the other contractors didn't. He asked really good questions and provided a price quickly. His decades of experience was evident. So I decided to spend more and use him. He and his crew didn't disappoint. I wanted an arc on the end of the patio, and they worked on the form until I was happy with it. They answered all my questions and I had a lot. I'd overseen a lot of commercial concrete in my career, but was unfamiliar with several things they did during this residential job. It wasn't wrong, it was just unfamiliar. They explained why they were doing what they were doing, so I withheld judgment until the end. There were a couple of details in their prep work I wasn't happy with. They changed them without complaint or argument. And they cleaned up after they were done. On top of everything else, the crew was amazingly fast. Concrete is brutal work, but these guys moved like a well-oiled machine. The result was a beautiful product. No low spots, perfect slope, clean joint, beautiful radiused edges. I will definitely use them again when I'm ready to replace my old driveway. And I will recommend them to anyone I know looking for quality concrete work.

I reached out on Yelp for a project regarding cost to vault a ceiling of a potential house I was considering to buy. Someone on the team said that they could come at 11am for a site visit. I asked once again on Yelp to confirm they were coming. I had heard that I would need advice from a structural engineer, and they said yes. Then, I called them directly again, to verify if the manager would be able to speak on the structural feasibility of the project. After calling the manager's number provided by the receptionist multiple times, there was no answer - maybe he was on the job. However, when my husband called AD Master again, he was able to reach someone and when he asked about the site visit, they said they didn't have our appointment on the books. We had to schedule once again on the phone. Long story short, someone did come (at 10am, not the agreed time) and they thought they were there for a deck repair. To be honest, he just seemed uncomfortable to have showed up to the wrong job site and didn't contribute much - no estimate of cost or work was shared by him. I liked the quality of work I saw on the photos, but would not likely hire them due to the poor communication so far. Edit response to AD Master: After speaking with your customer service agent, Viky, she shared that many of your employees do not speak English as a first language, causing the miscommunications. I am glad you are taking this seriously moving forward to improve the experience for future customers. As a result, I will raise my review to 3 stars.
