One of the two steps was defective: shorter in height than the other, anti-slip grooves that were placed to match original steps were not parallel and evenly spaced. This is a common traditional design/functional feature of the tread. The bottom step lacks a full riser height and will result in a gap between that step and the patio. We knew the step was odd looking but when our landscape designer saw it, he advised us it was poorly done and needed to be redone before the landscape work could be completed. We contacted Dave explaining the problem, asking him to redo the step or refund the cost of that portion of the project. He said he would be by to demolish and redo the step. On the day of the scheduled redo, he was a no show with no message from him. My husband text messaged and called him with no response, he attempted to reach Dave several times. This man does not keep his word. This no-show ghosting is nothing new, as another reviewer indicated he had the same experience, missed appointments TNT Concrete makes with its customers. There is a history on their part as being no shows on days they have committed to work. We now are paying another contractor to have the step replaced, an extra expense we should not have if Dave had taken responsibility and replaced the step or refunded the cost. This is no way to treat customers. I do not recommend this business.

Our primary reason for choosing Northwest Crawl Space Services was their ability to provide a comprehensive, one‑stop crawl space solution. They offer the full spectrum of crawl space restoration services and can also install a sump pump system. We also used their high‑quality rodent prevention services as part of the project. Among the companies AI recommended to me, Northwest Crawl Space Services stood out with exceptionally strong customer reviews. I also browsed through some customer reviews, including a long, thoughtful one written by an older gentleman. He wrote, "Lior was our lead person for questions and he made it easy to understand, going over everything--I mean everything!" Lior is also the blogger who wrote the educational articles and the detailed, highly informative work logs on the company's website. And as luck would have it, the company assigned Lior to do our estimate. Now we can say the same thing: everything became easier because Lior stepped in with such calm, steadiness, and responsibility. On the day of the estimate, Lior told us they would protect the laundry room and the garage, and that they would do their best to complete the project to a high standard--he even said they would make our crawl space "beautiful." Our only expectation for the crawl space was basic functionality. It is technically part of the house, but the last time I went inside was thirteen years ago. This time, however, when I entered the crawl space to take photos, I had to admit that their attention to detail was truly impressive. I'm posting a few photos here--this is only a small portion of what they accomplished. The quality of the work far exceeded anything we had imagined. Considering the hours they spent in that low, dark, cold, and damp environment only deepened our respect for their perseverance. During those two days, even though the work was physically demanding, we could still feel that they were genuinely happy. This speaks both to their inherently positive mindset and to the healthy, supportive workplace culture within the company. The office staff were equally enthusiastic and provided the same high level of friendly, professional service. NWCSS is a company you can truly trust. A few days later, on a sunny afternoon, I went back into the crawl space. What I saw made me finally understand what "beautiful" truly meant. I sat there quietly, watching the interplay of light and shadow between the new floor insulation and the new vapor barriers, with the new air ducts weaving through the space in graceful lines. In that moment, the present felt eternal. Lior delivered on everything he said he would do. Highly recommend!

They were friendly and professional, but a follow up inspection by another company later revealed that the work was substandard, and things that I'd paid for had not been done. After several attempts NW Crawlspace were unable to fix their mistakes, and communication broke down. I had to get all the way to a supervisor to get the crew to stop working. They did in fact need to change the design but never reviewed it with me. A third design had to be done and they still put the sump pump right in front of my hot water heater, they did not pitch the one side enough so water sits there, left my driveway full of small and large metal shavings (and I have 2 young kids and 2 dogs who run in the backyard), did not clean up other materials, did not remove the dirt they dug up in the basement (told me I had to pay extra, you would think for 24k it'd be included. They also went to dig up my patio to run the water line, which could have been adjusted a few feet to not dig up an entire patio- again, no one would listen until I spoke to that one supervisor again, it was unreal. There were multiple times they were scheduled to come and never showed or showed on a different day then was scheduled, at least 4 times, and the crew had no idea. Fast forward to my yearly inspection, where he recommended I get a dehumidifier, and I was confused bc I paid to get one (that was one of my main things before I got talked into upgrading to a 24k job). They NEVER installed the dehumidifier and there has been new mold growth. They were not forthcoming with pics but sent a crew to spray, the crew had no idea what they were spraying for. They finally installed the dehumidifier and now I'm waiting for them to return to fix the encapsulation which is pulling apart, for the thousands of dollars it was, it was not worth it. The entire job was not worth it (3 columns designed to hold up large buildings, used to hold up my tiny house), encapsulation, dug around the edges, put in a sump pump, and now the dehumidifier. I would NOT recommend!!!!

Ricky took a very consultative approach and was detailed in his explanation of the process, provided me solutions that I didn't even consider (like an underground drain), and the project bid was in line with other vendors. I appreciated that I was able to book my service out a few months to a time frame that worked best for my budget and the weather. I would have assumed I would need to call and remind the team of our project start date when it got closer, but Ricky beat me to it. Once the project got kicked off, you could see the craftmanship that the whole crew possesses; I have recommended this team to anyone that asks. The most telling characteristic of this business is that post project, I have still received amazing and kind support on a few hairline cracks that appeared (at no fault of the team) and have never been made to feel like a burden. I cannot recommend this team any more highly. Ricky and his team are true professionals and you should definitely hire them for your next demo / concrete project.

In addition, they gave me a $200 Home Depot gift card for the inconvenience. Ram Jack West has great customer service and prioritizes the satisfaction of their customers. I highly recommend! I originally chose to work with Ram Jack West because I felt that Chris (our salesman) was open and honest compared to other companies. When evaluating our project, he called the engineer on the spot to clarify what our project would entail which I appreciated since previous companies were wishy-washy. We were able to schedule quickly which I appreciated, and the price seemed fair for the amount of work that was going to be done. When the team came out to do the work, I reviewed what I believed they were going to do for the project. The crew foreman, Aaron, said no, that's not what they were told to do and proceeded to tell me something drastically different from what Chris and I had reviewed. My father was also present when Chris was here and verified that it was not what was discussed. I called Chris directly to clarify which he reassured me that sometimes they need to provide support to structures but the team onsite didn't think it was necessary. He "wants clients to be overprepared so that they aren't shocked if more equipment is needed". I then had to ask, wasn't this part of the costs that you originally quoted me for? He then said, he would have to check the estimate to see. After my prompting, I was returned $880. This would have been overlooked had I not asked. Furthermore, I questioned the foreman, Aaron extensively prior to the work beginning. I was worried that the way they were installing the Helical would not support the cement post properly as we were told with previous companies that it would make the cement tilt and push up on the beam unevenly. I was reassured by Aaron that it would be fine. Sure enough, after the team began the work, the cement block began tipping as they lifted the beam and we could not get the balcony back to level. The "finished" product looked extremely unstable and I was concerned about long term stability. I was again reassured by the onsite team. Despite this, I decided to reach out to the project manager, Bijoy (who I had never met in person and was only in communication with via email) and sent photos of the completed work. I also sent a company review after being prompted to do so with an automated email from the company. After this submission was sent, I was reached out by supervisor Tyler who also said he would review the photos. Tyler was very pleasant to work with and responded promptly. I received a call back from him shortly later and said that although the structure is stable, it doesn't hold up to Ram Jack West standards in appearance and they would come out to lay new cement down (which is what I thought I was paying for in the first place). The team came out again, and laid cement which looks so much better! I was very happy with the results until we had to remove the wood framing around the cement and found a hole where the helical is. It is a deep hole (at least 3 feet) and our gravel in the area falls in to it. Furthermore, I am now concerned about it filling up with rain water and further disrupting the ground. I, again, reached out to Bijoy and sent photos with questions about how this hole can be filled. I didn't hear back for nearly 2 weeks, at which point I reached back out to Tyler. After Tyler's prompting, I then received an email back from Bjjoy instructing me that I could fill the hole with anything insulating "such as foam or newspaper". I clarified that newspaper would not be water proof and also the hole is at least 3 feet deep which would not be feasible to fill. I asked if cement would work instead, which he did say I could do. Overall, the initial project took 3 guys less than 3 hours. The crew returned to place more cement a few weeks later. And I still have to spend my weekend (and money) filling the remaining hole for an unfinished project. I was really hoping I was going to like the finished product but because of the continued need for work, lack of initial transparency, and delays in communication, I can't say I would recommend using this company. I think that the Ram Jack West supervisor, Tyler, did a great job trying to improve this issue for me and had great communication, but ultimately, I still have to do work on something I spent nearly $6k to get fixed properly the first time.
