This food is good for nothing it trash which is where its goingsh

I've passed this restaurant by for 4 yrs now so this morning I googled them and checked out their menu (which needs to be updated) i read the reviews which were mixed some bad some good and i decided to give them a try (bad idea) I ordered grits.which was watery and lumpy my smoked sausage was really dried out and they gave me a half of a link cut in half I had to come home and put the toast in my toaster it was just bread that they put a lil heat to not toast I paid $6.40 if the food was better then $6.40 wouldn't have been a problem even though the portions were for my 4 y/o grandbaby BY THE WAY BURGER KING AND BOJANGLES GRITS ARE WAY WAY BETTER I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER GO BACK Food: 1/5 | Service: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5 Noise level Quiet, easy to talk Wait time Up to 10 min

Traditional breakfast with two over medium eggs, smoked sausage, homefries, biscuit and gravy, and a medium coffee.

I was on my way to a coffee shop but then i reconsidered thinking i didnt want to spend 20 dollars on a sub-par sandwich and an overpriced coffee. Right outside of post was CC's, and wow, just what I wanted. The only reason it is not a five is because they still wont allow seating inside, which is a big part of why I go to a diner. Service was great and this rule clearly is not for covid because no one is wearing masks, just seems they are trying to save money.

Menu as of June 15th, 2022. (Restaurant it is still a To-Go-Only due to shortage of staff)

Very simple place, good and cheap breakfast. Not the best facility appearance but the staff was very courteous and the service was quick. Great place for a quick Grab-&-Go!

Scrambled egg w/cheese, load of delicious thick bacon, "real" home style potatoes, biscuit, & delicious, fully cooked, thick grits!

Yup! This is the place! We were in the area for my son's Turning Green graduation and even though our hotel had their usual "free hot breakfast" we were longing for a real homemade, Southern breakfast. So glad we found CC's, it was perfect! Pricing was definitely on point for the amount of food we received as well as the quality. We opted to get it to go, however you can eat in if you like. Nothing pretentious about this place, very feel like home & comfortable environment. Service was very prompt & I'm assuming it was CC who took my order, was as sweet as peaches! My breakfast is the picture, scrambled egg with cheese, "real" home style potatoes, load of thick delicious bacon, biscuit & side of grits. Grits by the way, were nice & thick & actually cooked - my favorite. My son had the pancakes, I didn't get a pic but, I did get a few bites, only like 2 lol. I like my pancakes to be thick, not airy & watery. The pancakes here are just that, thick! Not too dense or rubbery, just amazing. Condiments were provided if needed. We will definitely be back, in August to be exact. If you're in the area, & hungry for breakfast, CC's the place. Not far from post either.

Small breakfast & lunch spot with good food at a very reasonable price. Loved my eggs, greasy hash browns, biscuit and bottomless coffee. (All for $8.00) Thank goodness my cholesterol level isn't high. The room was full of locals and take-out orders flew out the door. My waitress, Marlys, was the best!

The menu is eclectic with just about something for everyone. All our food came out quickly. It was well prepared, fresh and everyone really enjoyed their food. There is a great drink selection and the service was excellent. The bar has roll up garage doors down one side that open up to an outdoor seating area with a variety of seating options. Decor is bright and cheerful. If I lived around here, Jarfly would be high up on my list as far as places to go relax drink and eat!

The combo appetizer included sweet potato fries, mozzarella sticks, wings, and nachos. The nachos…read morewere pretty basic--nothing special, no real cheese, barely any toppings. They honestly don't need to be on the menu. The mozzarella sticks were surprisingly flavorful with a nice crunch, but they came with way too much breading and only three of them, which felt stingy and odd. They definitely should've included more. The sweet potato fries had decent flavor but were under-salted (as fries almost always need after frying) and came out a bit limp and sad-looking. The hot wings weren't labeled as boneless or bone-in on the menu, but they turned out to be boneless--which is fine. They were a good size, but the "hot" sauce was extremely mild. It needs way more heat to live up to the name. Now, the ranch... this ranch is incredible. It's creamy, deeply flavored, and has the perfect amount of dill--it's practically divine. I could rave about this ranch all day. The Zombie drink comes in a cool skull glass (limited to one per person), but it's basically 99% ice with very little actual drink. I could barely taste any alcohol--maybe I have a high tolerance--but the flavor was solid. Still, it's pretty pricey for mostly ice. The John Denver cocktail also looked great in its presentation, but again, mostly ice. Thankfully, the flavor matched the menu description exactly, which was a pleasant surprise. The patty melt was solid overall, but it needed more salt and pepper for seasoning. My egg was overcooked (fully hard yolk instead of the runny one I was hoping for to ooze over the patty). The avocado was only on one half of the sandwich, which seemed strange. I'd have preferred a slightly thicker patty too, but I do appreciate that it came on Texas toast--even though the menu didn't mention it. All patty melts should use Texas toast. I added a side salad, which looked nicely artisanal, and--once again--that amazing ranch took it to another level. The regular fries that came with the Rodeo Burger aren't regular at all--they're battered and had great flavor and crisp structure. They were excellent... except for the missing finishing salt that every great fry deserves. The Rodeo Burger itself was cooked perfectly, but like the patty melt, the patties needed more salt and pepper. The egg was again overcooked (hard yolk). Beyond that, the flavors worked well, though the jalapeños were surprisingly mild and lacked punch. The bacon was spot-on--not underdone, not overcooked, just the right chew without being tooth-breaking. Overall, the food has potential, but seasoning (especially salt) is consistently missing, and a few portions/quality details could use attention. That ranch, though? Absolute standout

Was told by my colleagues that the Parker house rolls and cinnamon butter was great. I had the summer salad (spring greens, cherries, strawberries, and a HUGE knot of burrata cheese, with an additional grilled salmon). This salad was incredible. Highly recommend! The table shared some deviled eggs. The pickled onions on the deviled eggs was so good. Everyone dipped their fries in the chili crisp oil and agreed it was one of the best flavor combos of the trip. Our server gave us an extra side of it and gave my friend a side of kimchi to add to his burger. Just great all around service and vibe. While the restaurant feels like the height of 2015-2020 design (let's road trip in our sprinter van to a shipping container cottage!), everything feels airy and good to be there

Later that Wednesday evening, as the restaurant settled into a softer, more intimate glow, we opted…read morefor the main dining room rather than the rooftop. The hostess was warm and efficient, seating us immediately. Our server approached with the quiet confidence of someone who knows her craft--she was direct, professional, and all business in the best possible way. Even as closing time drew near, she kept my glass refreshed without needing to be asked, a small but telling detail that spoke volumes about her attentiveness. The space itself strikes a pleasant semi-formal note--clean, polished, and respectful without veering into stuffy territory. Behind the bar, the bartender was meticulously wiping down every bottle, a quiet display of care that set a tone of genuine pride in the operation. We began with a dozen oysters: six raw and six char-grilled. The raw specimens were on the petite side for the price, yet delivered a clean, bright, and pleasantly saline flavor that let the oyster speak for itself. The char-grilled version arrived with a savory Parmesan crust that brought its own appealing character--rich, cheesy, and nicely caramelized in a way that felt unique rather than derivative. The crab dip, however, was a standout. Far superior to the often disappointing versions we've encountered elsewhere, this one tasted of genuine lump crab meat, folded into a properly cheesy, indulgent dip that avoided any unfortunate "buffalo" detours. Served with crisp crostini, each bite was balanced and deeply satisfying--an authentic crab dip done right. The Korean cheesesteak offered an excellent harmony of flavors: tender, well-seasoned meat beneath a luxurious blanket of melted cheese, punctuated by the bright, spicy kick of kimchi and the refreshing snap of pickles. It was delicious, though for the price, I wished for a more generous filling and a bit more heft to the sandwich overall. The mac & cheese arrived in a commendably generous portion, with a beautiful Parmesan crust on top. Visually appealing, the dish unfortunately fell a touch flat on the palate. The noodles were properly cooked and coated in a creamy sauce, yet it lacked the depth and seasoning one hopes for-- a pinch more salt and pepper would have elevated it considerably. The fish and chips presented a towering mound of fries that carried decent flavor but lacked the shattering crispness one craves. The real disappointment lay in the presentation of the fish: two fillets stacked atop one another, causing the steaming heat to turn the once-promising breading soggy and prone to sliding off. That said, the fish itself was excellent--flaky, moist, and delicately sweet with a lovely buttery quality. It was the unfortunate interaction between steam and crust that kept the dish from greatness. The roads were a little dense, so not necessarily my particular style, but I'm good. The butter that came with them was very unique to say the least. To drink, both beers arrived filled to the absolute brim and proved so enjoyable that I would gladly order them again without hesitation. Overall, the evening delivered solid, thoughtful plates in a well-run environment, with several bright spots that make a return visit tempting--particularly for those oysters and that excellent crab dip.
