Went here the first time in years. 2 shirts and 2 pants. You have to prepay. No problem. Lady tells me it's $14. Ok. Swipe. She says it doesn't go through. Tells me to swipe again. I never looked at the receipt. I go to pick up the clothes and am told that I only got charged $5 the first time around and I owe the rest of the bill. I swear I paid the bill to the clerk who does not care and makes me pay the difference again to get my clothes. I didn't charge myself $5 by mistake. They did! We have been using this location for many years. We had a dress cleaned in late July. It stayed in the bag with the receipt till November when it was going to be worn. When pulling it out of the bag we immediately notice most all the appliques were missing. The cleaning recommendations are to launder DO NOT DRY CLEAN. Definitely they made a mistake and Dry Cleaned the dress. Keeping in mind they have laundered this dress 2 times before, with no problem. The girl at the counter said this was dry cleaned when she looked at the receipt still on the bag. The manager called and was very rude, refusing to do anything, and stating they did not dry clean the dress. Obviously, they are not being truthful. Look at the receipt, it says Dry Cleaned. When they Launder items the receipt states Laundry. They ruined the dress and don't care. BEWARE!! read more

I dropped off my clothes for cleaning on 12/11 and returned on 12/13, but the business could not locate my items. After several calls and providing a detailed description, I was later told the clothes had been given to another customer. When the clothes were finally returned, the tags were not intact and the original cleaning bag was missing. The business offered only a $15 store credit, which I did not accept. My husband and I have been patronizing this business for years. Today we stopped in to drop off a comforter and shirts. We had two coupons that expired today. We were told by the staff and a 'manager' that they could only accept one coupon per visit. When we asked why they said it was a new store policy. When we explained this had never been an issue before AND there was nothing on the coupon or any signage in the store stating this was their new policy, they still would not relent. Their only solution was for us to use one coupon at their store and take the other items to another CD One Price store. How ludicrous is this?!! A more customer-focused and rational response would have been to make an exception for this one time since this 'policy ' is not stated on the coupon s or on any signage in the store. But no worries- we will not be giving them any more of our business and we would advise you not to patronize them either. Just had a horrible customer service incident with this countryside location. My 2pc garment came back in two different colors and they completely ruined this set. BEWARE: don't come here if you want to risk never seeing your beloved clothes/personal items again. My dad had a terrible experience w/ CD years ago but i thought i'd give them a try now that im in area... big mistake! They're still cheap/extremely poor at what they do, which is simply sending stuff out to random crappy other vendors, CD has no skills of their own. I gave 2 bathmats for dry cleaning, they insist on your pre-paying, which I found weird/different from other actually bonafide drycleaners - hence they have NO incentive to get you your things back. I had a sense of foreboding as I left- & today when i came to retrieve my hopefully drycleaned items (as i rec'd texts stating they were ready!) the girl working the register, who looked poorly trained/highly ditzy at best, could not find my items!! I saw her wandering around aimlessly in their (filthy! +peeling paint and wallpaper & ?moldy!) store, I guess she asked someone else to assist as after a long while a heavyset lady appeared (btw these two were only ones on duty at 615pm today) & she wouldn't make eye contact, muttered that my things "weren't ready" - that they hadn't been received! (They do zero work onsite i guess, another RED FLAG) i was like, how can that be?- I received messages saying they were ready nearly a week ago (as i was out of town I couldn't pick them up sooner), she was like Huh really? then by some miracle the 1st gal scampered over then wondering if a deformed bag was one of my items (it was). They then managed to find other one (spilling out of its bag & getting dirty! ridiculous! they only replaced the bag after I asked). TERRIBLE INCOMPETENT STAFF who lied to me too! Zero stars. We signed up for the pick up and delivery. The first week went OK although I asked for the sheets to be ironed they were not. The second week I sent some cleaning in addition to the sheets. The sheets came back the cleaning never did. I've been calling, multiple times a day and getting nowhere. Everybody I talk to says they'll get back to me as soon as possible. I don't think they know what as soon as possible means. I've asked to talk to the manager, the owner, the supervisor, etc., etc. none of those people are ever on site.I repeat do not use this cleaners there got to be better ones in the area read more

New to the area, I thought the quality and reliability of the CD one price cleaner franchises were made equal. I brought in several of my dress shirts and suits to be cleaned. With prompt attention, I was contacted by the store manager with an apology that they had damaged some shirts through this process. I was informed to file a claim upon picking up the remaining non-damaged items. Did so and contacted them for an update. I was informed it had been approved. Never received a check. Called several times leaving either a voicemail or asking to speak to the store manager. I dropped off 4 dress around 5:30pm on a Thursday, and by 10:00am the next morning I got an email saying they were ready for pickup. Everything looks clean and it good shape! I pulled a winter blazer out of my closet because it needed cleaning - and I realized there was a CD ticket attached - it HAD been "cleaned" already. But it had a dirty inside of the collar and the insides of the bottom of the sleeves. I went back and asked for a re-do. They did...it came back ruined - with stains, blackish sheen all over (it's an ecru blazer) - horror! I will not be able to wear it again!. I had 4 more blazers with me that I found in the closet - also supposedly cleaned but not cleaned at all - wanting to have them redone - but when I saw what they have done to my ecru blazer by "redoing" it - I made a decision I cannot let them ruin more of my clothes and took them back. Nobody offered to give me my money back for anything (work not performed?), the only offer was: leave the ruined blazer and we will have the owner call you. That has not happened, it's been 3 days. I went online to see if I can buy that same Zara blazer - no, they don't have them anymore. read more

I dropped off my shirt/suit set to the care of this business. When I picked up my shirt/suit set I noticed on my white shirt's cuffs, that they were discolored and still dirty. I pointed out all of the issues to the employee at the register, and the manager on duty. They apologized and wanted to re-dry clean the shirt, however I needed my shirt/suit set that day, and was unable to allow that. When I went to pick up my shirt/suit set I also brought one of my pea-coats to have dry cleaned. After dealing with all the issues with my white shirt, I pointed out to the cashier and manager, whom I was already speaking with, the spots I was concerned about that needed to be cleaned. This place used to be great then they started hiring rude employees and stopped caring about their customers I reached out to them probably about five different times to have them clean the clothes properly & was incredibly patient because I really didn't want to have to switch cleaners since they are conveniently located. I don't know if they changed owners over the past year or so but I can't return to this location again. They consistently destroy dress shirts. At first it was the buttons. They would break off buttons on a regular basis. Then they started destroying the cuffs on all of my shirts. I don't know if they are leaving them in the press for too long but the end of my shirt sleeve cuffs have all split completely open at the bottom. These are new shirts with no other defect other than the destroyed cuffs (and missing buttons). Also, if you ever bring in a dress that has a belt you need to keep the belt or it will disappear. I dropped off my dry cleaning as usual before 10am so I can have it ready by 5pm and was told by the cashier that my dry cleaning was not going to be ready until tomorrow because there machines were broke and asked if anything as far as a discount was being given due to the inconvenience and was told no. I asked for a manager and was told one would be in at noon. Fast forward to 115pm, talked to a manager about the inconvenience and was told the same thing that things happen and no discount would be offered because machines break down. I've been a long time patron to this establishment and that's sad that a PROMISE for same day service was not kept and nothing done about the inconvenience to a patron of the business. I told the manager I'll seek business else where and her response was "that's okay". Well it most certainly is okay for me. Bad business and nothing to make up for the inconvenience to me. My husband frequently gets his work shirts dry cleaned at this location and they have already ruined one shirt with a large ink stain yet tried saying it was there to begin with. Do not be scared off by the seemingly too-good-to-be-true prices and the fact the place seems to be run entirely by teenagers- this place does a GREAT job! I've come here to get bridesmaid dresses steamed, oil scrubbed out of a coat, and dry cleaning of a fluffy white down coat covered in various stains, and all have come out perfectly! I always walk in thinking "is this the place I should be doing this??" and skip out gleeful that I did. They boast a same day turn around if item is in before 10am, or next day for everything else. HOWEVER, I gave them a bag to wash and a bag to dry clean. All they did to my wash was run it in water, dry it and fold it. It was not cleaned with detergent. For my cleaning, they took the lint off, and pressed it. I still have had stains on my pants! I spent 40 dollars on nothing but a lesson to not use this service again! read more

I would say most of my experiences here have been positive. It seems like a very well run and efficient organization. Prices are much cheaper than a typical dry cleaner. If I had to cite a negative it would be with one of the workers by the name of Courtney. I found her to be abrasive and not friendly by any means. She should not be dealing with the public. She needs a serious lesson in proper customer service. One of many tips for her would be how to properly hand change to customers. She should place it in the customers hand instead of placing it on the counter and leaving it there expecting the customer to pick it up. I'm a pretty easy going person. If she seriously rubbed me the wrong way, I'm pretty confident other customers feel the same way. I would have scored this place a 5. I knocked it down 1 point because of this woman. read more

Unfortunately, CD One Price Cleaners located in countryside Illinois has ruined two pair of my trousers over the passed two years without exclamation. During the first encounter I gave them a pass because I understand that mistakes happen without intent in most cases, that was mistake!!! This review severs as WARNING to all customers in the event that you have to file a claim with this location. The Initial conversation with the assistant manager and later the manager at CD One Price cleaners started out with an unprofessional attitude towards the customer. This Iresponsible behavior was Idenfied immediately during the conversation because this practice isn't acceptable and will not be tolerated during any of my discussions period. Unfortunately this cleaning establishment has a big name with low prices in Illinois with each location owned and operated by individuals owners and they operate the way they want. This information was articulated during the conversation with the manager. Also, during the interrogation process it was mentioned that CD would send the trousers out for observation to identify the chemical that may have stained the material. Upon futher conversation the observation process didn't identify the chemical or cause that may have damage the trousers. CD still chooses to ignore that the trrouser was in their possession when the damage occurred which derictly identifies the establishment as the responsible party thanks and please choose your services responsibly. read more
