Can't recommend this place enough. Was in Philly for the weekend, and cracked my tire just when I was heading home. I must have tried a dozen shops before I called CDM, where Clarence answered immediately, and offered to come in to weld my wheel(they were closed at the time). As for the job, wheel is like new, Clarence checked all the other tires and wheels before my trip back, and charged a price that I thought was more than reasonable. I went in the morning around 10ish my tire had a nail in it. They took off the donut pulled out the nail in the damage tire and put it back on my car and put the donut back in the trunk. It was fast and affordable and the guys are really friendly and not in a creepy way. read more

These guys are official. I needed two flex tubes replaced and was having trouble finding a local mechanic who could do the job (the weld needed to be done in a very tight section of the exhaust). Clarence assured me that he could get it done quickly and at a fair price, and did just that. He even got some advice and assistance from a master commercial welder who has a shop next door. I won't hesitate to return to the personable and professional crew over at CDM for anything I need in the future. My front tire had been loosing air for a few days and I was putting more air in it before and after work. I finally looked up a good tire place and this came up. I called first and was told to come so they could check it out. I got there the guy looked around the whole tire and discovered there was a screw stuck in it. They took the screw out, plugged it up with a permanent plug and in just a few minutes I was on my way. To top it off the price was SUPER affordable. Story: I needed two new tires before a trip to Vermont for thanksgiving. I went here to get them, and they were amazing. Fast, cheap, friendly. I was incredibly excited. The next day one of the tires pops on me in Connecticut. I had to go to Costco (it was the only place open the day before thanksgiving) to spend a premium on a tire so I could make it to Thanksgiving. Though they are really cheap, very fast, and quite friendly, because of my experience with tire failure literally the day after I got the tire from them, I would not recommend them to you. read more

Do not go to this tire shop! Save your money and go to a reputable shop. Pep Boys is much better. The guys might be 'friendly' but it is a show to distract the customer. They do the most minimal work and charge close to full price. Sure they are fast but what good is fast service if the work is done wrong and you have to pay again to have the work done right. I have a strong suspicion the five star reviews written about this shop is written by their own friends and workers. Great experience at CDM! I'm not sure why anyone would buy tires anywhere else. Clarence and and his crew are professional and courteous. I had a nail in the sidewall of the tire on my truck. I stopped by and Clarence got the info from the tire and had a new tire within about an hour. I stopped over and they had the tire balanced and replaced in 15 minutes at a cost much less than anywhere else I had checked. Excellent service. ran over a pothole in the evening that flattened both of the left-side tires of our 2003 Toyota Corolla. The next morning, we visited CDM Tires for a quote after being recommended there by the mechanic at Central Auto Service if we were looking for quick service. Clarence was the man. he offered to call for the tow truck for our car, but we had been planning to use our road side assistance. When we arrived with our car, Clarence and his team efficiently replaced our two tires in roughly 15 min. They removed our destroyed tires, moved our still functional back right tire to the front left, and then added replacement tires to the back two wheels. All together, it cost 90 dollars for two used tires. read more

This place is amazing! I knew I needed two new front tires and my husband took his truck here previously for a new tire because of the great reviews. So I went first thing on a weekday morning. Clarence looked at the size, confirmed I was looking for new tires (instead of used), made a phone call and said he could have them delivered and put on early afternoon. You have to have cash because he doesn't take anything else. I went to the ATM, came back, paid for the two tires and left. I got a call in the early afternoon that the tires were in and it would take 20 minutes to put them on. When I arrived Clarence and his guys got right to it. But, and this is the best part, when my old tires were off he told me I needed new breaks. Now my dealer told me that they were close to needing to be replaced about a month earlier and I just couldn't swing it at the time, so I knew Clarence was telling me the truth. He then told me to go a few blocks up the street to an auto parts store, told me what to buy and bring them back and he'd be happy to put them on. So that exactly what I did, with a stop to the ATM before returning to him of course. The breaks were much cheaper doing it this way then taking it back to the dealership. CDM Tires is what I would consider a class act. I'm a young professional, who doesn't have time (or money) to be ripped off by a bunch of guys in an auto shop. I heard of his place and wanted to check it out myself. I met Clarence and he was very honest and I didn't feel like he was trying to rip me off because I'm a girl. The first time he worked on my car, it was to do my brakes. Since then, I have been back there 3 or 4 times, getting my car worked on. Everytime I've gotten work done, I got my car back that day. VERY FAST SERVICE! He is VERY affordable too! My dad drove 2 hours from NJ to come and get new tires, because his prices are that good! I will certainly be back again anytime my car needs service. What do you look for in a garage? I look for an inexpensive, reliable place that will accomplish my repairs on budget/on time and explain/show me what they did (so that i know they aren't taking advantage of me). I consider myself a car guy, and would not let most people wrench on my cars. For the past 6 months I have been restoring an 88 BMW 325iC, and have encountered some problems that require a lift/mechanic to solve. Clarence is the only person I would trust to wrench on it. I heard about CDM tires completely coincidentally. After bottoming out on some awful Philadelphia streets, i knocked my muffler off. Clarence was walking by an offered (on the spot) to fix my exhaust. He did a great job, and it grew from there. So far he has done: my oil pan, steering rack, welded my exhaust, and he did brakes and rotors. Next up I plan on having him do some performance work (headers, hot cam, different intake). By any standards, his work is inexpensive. Furthermore his work is very high quality (trust me I'm picky). Clarence's welds look great, and he takes his time doing work. After doing the oil pan, I had a rattle around 2000 rpm. I brought it back and showed Clarence, and he quickly diagnosed it as a loose heat shield, put it on the lift, and attached the heat shield so that it no longer rattled. A month or 2 ago, I purchased a set of used wheels online, which had tires on them that wouldn't fit my car. I sold the tires to a friend and went to the tire shop to get them switched over from my wheels to his car. They were friendly, inexpensive and quick, and has us in and out in about 20 minutes, and it only cost 50$ to switch them over. Long story short in my limited interactions with , CDM tires they have been great. I have had a lot of experience with CDM garage though, and I firmly believe that they are on of West Philly's best kept secrets. They do great work, for a fair price, quickly. There's far to few honest mechanics in the world, but Clarence over at CDM is definitely one of the best. He keeps my beloved BMW purring, and doesn't try to take advantage of me. I could say about a million great things about CDM tires/Garage, but at the end of the day it comes down to this: Try CDM tires, you won't be disappointed. read more

Freaking baller. Pep boys asked a ton of exact details on my tire and quoted me 89 for a tire and 24 more for installation after about 25 minutes of talking with them. I pulled up to this flatiron shop and Clarence saddles up, says "We've got a ton of these, and we'll put it on, fill your tires with air, everything for 50 dollars flat."
