The food was OK, the customer service was pretty bad. I wanted to take my mom, who has celiac's disease, out for a little lunch. We are Colombian and love trying new South American places out on the island. We drive about half an hour West because this place has good reviews, and I called to verify there were gluten free options. The person on phone was quite short, but hey maybe they are busy. No worries. We get to the place, excited to see a clean and casual restaurant. The cashier was the person I had spoken to on the phone. No greeting, no eye contact, and very rude to any question I asked. The whole interaction was so uncomfortable, my mother was shocked. I heard the same treatment to a family who was also dining in. We wanted to leave but figured we would try the food since we drive out, and perhaps this person was having a bad day. I hesitated to write this review but feel that it should be addressed. I wanted to say something in person but this man had such negative energy I was almost afraid that it would have reached an argument. 2 stars for flavorful steak and shrimp fillings.

We came here Saturday morning. Ceci's Arepa Joint is clean and spacious. The food itself is delicious and tastes homemade. Glad this spot is near my house!

A great place to have Venezuelan food. I just ordered the "The Joint" arepa and it met every one of my expectations. I asked for the black beans on the side instead of on the arepa (just my preference) and they accommodated my request. The arepa, filled with slow cooked pulled flank steak, grated cheese and sweet plantains was absolutely delicious. The black beans were equally as tasty and fabulous. I know the work it takes to make arepas and all of its fixings. I know what it costs to buy quality ingredients. For NY, one of the most expensive states in the country, I found their pricing to be VERY fair. Especially when they are using quality ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant and I hope that anyone reading this will try them out and support this wonderful little place.

Awesome place to get some delicious arepas rellenas. I had never had cachapas before but they were DELICIOUS here. To top it all off, they had lulo juice which is one of my faves. Everything was delivered hot and perfect. Can't wait to try more

Ceci's is an amazing new addition to East Meadow! it makes me extremely happy to see more latino and hispanic owned businesses opening up on long island! i tried "the joint" - an arepa stuffed with slow cooked flank steak, black beans, sweet plantains, & white cheese - and also the tequeño flight! the steak in the joint was extremely tasty and juicy, and the arepa tasted so fresh! the tequeños were also so tasty with their delicious sauces to dip them in. I will 100% be back to try some more of their dishes!

This is the joint cachapa with beans beef cheese and sweet plantain. Que Rico!

As soon as we walked in, the manager Stephan was right at the door ready to greet us. He already knew who we were and welcomed us like we were regulars. That kind of attentiveness is rare--you usually have to look for a manager, but here he was front and center, making sure everything was perfect from the start. The restaurant was busy (always a good sign!), but we were seated quickly and treated with such kindness and efficiency. The service overall was excellent--friendly, attentive, and just a great vibe all around. And the FOOD... absolutely incredible. I had the skirt steak with rice, beans, and salad--10/10, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. My friend had the fish and loved it just as much. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. Between the amazing food and the outstanding service, this place is a gem. Huge thank you to Stephan and the entire team for making us feel so welcomed--we'll definitely be back!

I asked the server what it was because how amazing it smelled, and he said it was the mixed seafood in lobster sauce. I ordered that and it came. There was squid, shrimp, mussel and clam in the soup. It came with rice and fries as well. It was the most tender squid and clam I ever had in my life. I highly recommend it. We were there for quite a bit and no one rushed us. It's an extremely friendly establishment. I highly recommend it to anyone.
