this place may look like a hole in a wall but man the flavors are phrnomenal. from the honduran tacos to the fried chicken with fried green bananas. the crispiness. the sauce. everything is sooo darn good. las baleadas were so so. but everything else was amazing.

Very small Latin eatery in Westbury that serves a wide variety of dishes and some from Honduras. Even though I didn't enjoy my lunch at all, I will be fair with my review. Tried the grilled chicken over green plantains. The grilled chicken itself was delicious, but the entire dish was ruined by a a disgusting mayonnaise/ ketchup mix that ruined the whole meal. There was another sauce mixed in that was sweet and had cilantro which on its own would've been great but they ruined it with the mayo. No matter how I tried to eat around it, you get the mayo flavor and I gagged on it. Such a shame. The fried chicken was fantastic as well but again ruined by that mayonnaise ketchup mix. Why?!!!! Service was friendly and prices are reasonable. I'd like to come back and try that dish again but without that mayo sauce because it's probably going to be awesome.

Carbs Azada.

I've been going to the locations in the city before but I'm so glad they opened one up here. The drinks were delicious we tried the watermelon margarita, passionfruit sour, virgin Pina colada, and brisa de Lima. Made very well. For apps we got the grilled octopus and Nikkei ceviche. The grilled octopus came with two delightful sauces and some grilled mini potatoes. It was tender and flavorful. The Nikkei was like Peruvian tuna poke but I wish it was a little less salty. For mains we went all out. We got the matador combo and an arroz con mariscos and a full platter of jalea. It was enough food for 6 people with quite a bit left over. One of the standouts we never expected was the seafood rice.. the sauce it came in was rich and complex and creamy. Not like a paella, more like a risotto.. that was finished quickly everyone loved it. For the matador combo it is a huge amount of food. The chicken was standout juicy and came with a ton of sides like avocado salad, rice and beans, tostones, and salchipapas and fries. It was all really good and can fill up your party. The other fun food was the jalea, it's a fried mix seafood platter. I enjoyed the seafood used they had a mix of white fish, baby squid, calamari, clams, and yucca fries, all drizzled with this light but umami filled criolla salsa, which is a mix of red onions corn garlic and yumminess. Everyone was stuffed. Finally we had cake that I night and the cappuccinos we ordered were good as well. And the bill wasn't too crazy for 6 people with drinks. The only annoying part was that the roof was a bit drippy it rained and I felt occasionally drips of water on my head..

The lomo saltado is also very good and flavorful. Not pictured is camarones cuzco. Its an amazing shrimp dish in a aji amarillo sauce. The service can be slow when its busy. It also gets very loud.

As soon as we walked in, the manager Stephan was right at the door ready to greet us. He already knew who we were and welcomed us like we were regulars. That kind of attentiveness is rare--you usually have to look for a manager, but here he was front and center, making sure everything was perfect from the start. The restaurant was busy (always a good sign!), but we were seated quickly and treated with such kindness and efficiency. The service overall was excellent--friendly, attentive, and just a great vibe all around. And the FOOD... absolutely incredible. I had the skirt steak with rice, beans, and salad--10/10, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. My friend had the fish and loved it just as much. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. Between the amazing food and the outstanding service, this place is a gem. Huge thank you to Stephan and the entire team for making us feel so welcomed--we'll definitely be back!

I asked the server what it was because how amazing it smelled, and he said it was the mixed seafood in lobster sauce. I ordered that and it came. There was squid, shrimp, mussel and clam in the soup. It came with rice and fries as well. It was the most tender squid and clam I ever had in my life. I highly recommend it. We were there for quite a bit and no one rushed us. It's an extremely friendly establishment. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Over a…read moredozen visits to Mi Tierrita, and the baseline truth remains undefeated: the food is cooked exceptionally well, and the platters are monstrous designed to easily feed two. TIn regards to the decor, this isn't a place chasing modern trends, and it's all the better for it. The rotisserie chicken has that perfect, deeply seasoned skin that only comes from a kitchen that knows its craft, and the salmon is a exceptional. It's an authentic, unapologetic Colombian staple where you can just head to the bar, grab a cold beer, watch the game, and get exactly what you came for. Food (4/5): Fantastic. The rotisserie chicken is packed with flavor, and the salmon is consistently excellent. The sheer volume of food is staggering. Customer Service (3.75/5): Reliable and down-to-earth. The staff keeps things moving smoothly, whether you're at a table or sitting at the bar. Decor (3.5/5): It isn't modern, but it doesn't need to be. It feels accurate, warm, and entirely right for an authentic neighborhood Colombian spot. Price: Around $25 per person. In an era of shrinking plates and rising prices, the value you get for the sheer amount of quality food here is a total steal.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a staff member who was very welcoming. We ordered an arepa with shredded beef, yoyos with grilled chicken, and a chicha. Everything was delicious! However, when my dad went to pay the bill at the end they tried to charge an operating fee of $7. My dad complained thats illegal and the lady tried to say its a fee to maintain the space. I never heard of an operating fee anywhere and for that I took off 1.5 stars. Please eliminate that fee if you want to keep customers because the food was great!
