I walked in today and was welcomed extremely warmly. Sitting next to my table was a party that each ordered a seafood soup-looking dish. I asked the server what it was because how amazing it smelled, and he said it was the mixed seafood in lobster sauce. I ordered that and it came. There was squid, shrimp, mussel and clam in the soup. It came with rice and fries as well. It was the most tender squid and clam I ever had in my life. I highly recommend it. We were there for quite a bit and no one rushed us. It's an extremely friendly establishment. I highly recommend it to anyone.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love this place, the vibe is cozy and reminds me of a diner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is my second time here and the prices are great. The servers all work together to make sure everyone is happy and getting their meals fast. The food is DELICIOUS. I had the arepas con queso y arroz con pollo with yuca fries and a cup of coffee. Outstanding portions and food. Viva Colombia! I will be back

If you are craving authentic Colombian food, then you have to visit Pollos El Paisa. Pollos El Paisa is located on Old Country Rd in Westbury, NY. There is a small parking lot in the back, but there is also street parking available. I stopped by on a Monday around 12:30pm and was seated right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really liked the decor inside, like little houses on the wall, and it's really spacious inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu offers traditional arepas, hearty soups, savory meat platters, and seafood delights. On Monday's, the soup of the day is a tripe soup, also known as Mondongo. Unfortunately, they already ran out of mondongo and only had chicken soup. I really like natural juices from Colombian restaurants so I got the mango juice in milk and my husband had the blackberry juice in milk. The natural juices can be made with milk or with just water. The mango juice was very refreshing. I usually order Bandeja Paisa, but decided to switch it up. I ordered the Beans with Pork Rinds, Frijoles con Garra. The beans with pork rinds was served in a pot and a plate of pork rinds, avocado, rice, plantains, and white corn arepa was served separately. Everything was delicious and flavorful. I enjoyed scooping the rice and dunking it into the pot of beans with pork rinds and having the whole spoonful. The portion was a really great size, I packed my leftovers and had it the next day. We had flan for dessert and it was very silky and smooth. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I am looking forward to coming back to Pollos El Paisa.

A family staple we've been returning to for over 20 years and a redundant term I coin, it does not miss! Damn I love Colombian food. The bendeja paisa aka mountain platter is all I ever order when I dine in, it's so incredibly flavorful and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's always a small vibe in here place is packed, great music, tv always has on baseball of futbol.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is IMPECCABLE! It transports you back to Colombia. As always, been returning for 20 years and will continue to return.

Amazing diner for Spanish food. We came in the day before a snowstorm - usually the line is out the door. We were immediately seated, brought water and lemon. Already perfect service. We ordered the steak and onions and the skirt steak. Both came with rice and beans which was perfectly seasoned and portioned. The salad was great and they didn't slather the dressing on it and instead left you the dressing to put as much as you need/want. Steaks were very well cooked and came out really fast, steaming hot and cooked just as we asked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was like a dive/diner but it was clean and service was very top notch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

If I'm correct this is a family owned Colombian restaurant and it feels like it!! Here you'll have the best authentic Colombian food on Long Island. I've tried many others before but they don't compare to this place. You'll Always be greeted in the most lovely traditional Colombian way which I love!! Everyone that works here is absolutely wonderful and the service is excellent!!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Quaint place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly staff. Small parking or but we found a spot with no problem. The food is out of this world. The plain rice had so much flavor. My wife got the grilled chicken with sweet plantains. I got the steak with Colombian creole sauce. I also recommend the guacamole and tostones. So good!! I can't wait to come back to my new favorite restaurant.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is one of a better Columbia Restaurant, it looks like a Diner on the outside and inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has chicken, meats, pork, and seafood. We ordered the mountain platter which can come with steak or ground beef, the better is with ground beef. Comes with rice and plantains, egg, rice cake, and fried pork belly Their hot sauce goes well with a lots of different dishes. I ordered a Shrimp with garlic cream sauce, It comes with rice and French fried, it is so good. Give it 4.5 stars

My family and I have been here a couple of times and it's always been a great experience! It's definitely a popular spot as it can get busy at times but worth the wait!! The food is fantastic and flavorful, I've gotten something different every time and it never disappoints. I really enjoyed the mountain platter. The paella is also very yummy and their mango drink is really refreshing too! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like the set up of the spot and it's unique and cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It might be hard to bring a super large party here but it's definitely a spot to try out and parking is super easy!

If you're just normally hungry, skip it because the entrées are more than enough. I had the steak with mushrooms and onions. The steak itself was cooked well, but I would've loved more mushrooms, and personally I think it would pair much better with rice and beans instead of French fries. The chicken options also felt a little limited compared to the long list of steak dishes. The appetizers could use some love too. Three empanadas on a plate and calling it an appetizer felt a little... phoned in. Give us a little flair! Service was a bit confusing because it seemed like everyone was helping every table, so we never really knew who our actual server was. We asked for the check because we had a show to get to, got an "okay," and then watched our server head over to another table first. Cue everyone checking their watches. The drinks were tasty, but I'm still on the fence about whether they were freshly made or not. Overall? It was a decent experience. The portions are generous, the steaks are the star of the menu, and there's definitely potential here. Would I rush back? Maybe not. Would I tell you not to go? Also no. This is one of those places where you'll have to grab a fork and decide for yourself.

I ordered one of their signature arepas: The Joint and it was great. It was juicy, packed with a good amount of food and was a nice combination of flavors. As a plantain enthusiast this was the perfect arepa for me. 1 arepa would be filling for the average person. My boyfriend ordered the El Poco Loco for us to split which I wasn't too crazy about - it reminded me of a crispy chicken sandwich and I didn't care for the sauce on this. I didn't bother to eat this after the first bite. Additionally I got to try the tres leches and this was better than I expected. I'm always hesitant to try tres leches because there are so many ways to prepare it. This way was more classic and simple with just the cake and the 3 milks at the bottom. It came served in a square dessert cup. It felt a little small for the price but the taste was worth it. My only constructive feedback for the cake is that the cake would be even better if it was a little less dry as far as texture but that can be hard to balance as you don't want the cake to become too wet over time due to it soaking in the milk. I can't wait to revisit: I'll be getting the tres leches again and would love to try the El Guey.
